That guitar solo was *beautiful*
The crowd may not have been loud, but this gig was so beautiful. I genuinely got teary eyed with happiness when Mac starting playing guitar during this song. “REAL SAUSAGES, REAL MASH”
was just what the doctor ordered wasn't it! heat-battered sway in the sunshine!
Usually all the musicians try to play similar to their records. I think DeMarco is so unique that he plays the best version of the song live.

Well, I'm a fan since 2015, and listened to virtually every live version of Mac's songs. But I know for a fact, that All Of Our Yesterdays, is the only song where the band plays a completely different twist compared to the studio version. They definitely twist their songs, but only a bit. Then never change the feel. Only on this song. He's my hero still.

J Sedó You could say this about MANY artists. I’ve seen a lot of shows, from Bob Dylan to Sleater-Kinney to Pearl Jam to Belle & Sebastian to PJ Harvey to Bruce Springsteen to Wilco. Many many many artists put a different spin on songs live.

I was at Glastonbury festival and honestly. He was amazing. I loved him so much and it was such a great experience. He still sounded amazing even though he mentioned he had the flu and didn't feel too well

Unpopular opinion: Mac makes me mad because the new album didn’t amount to its full potential, but I see this and it is so much better than the original recording. I’m pretty sure this is the arrangement they’ve been playing live for some time now. Why couldn’t Mac record these wonderful arrangements for the record?
Think he wanted the album to be raw. He mentions it whenever he discusses the album. Think this old dog was him giving you full and adapted songs but with this he wanted to give himself a break and just knock something out. Sure his newer stuff will be more full again
nah not an unpopolar opinion, i feel the same - i do get the idea of wanting everything stripped down and raw but yeah i wish this version was on the record as well. quality stuff nonetheless

Saw him in Halifax last week with Yellow Days. Got to meet George from Yellow Days but it was overall such a brilliant gig, was a really small venue so got to be very very close to Yellow Days and Mac. One of the best experiences of my life. 💕

The album is raw and you can prefer the live versions of some of the songs all you like, that's your choice. I for one, prefer to look at the album as an addition to all his others. It's different and really suited to just sitting back and listening on your own. I love that the live versions are different- it gives more motivation to go and watch live music. More artists should tweak their work for performances.
I love the album, seldom does a record put me in such a chilly mood. Perfect for winding down.

It's a sublime tap to the heart of music when we all crave and dress accordingly... waiting for the heavyweights and so called big hitters/headliners of our respective genres to give us the sweaty "chant" filled tunes we gracefully appreciate.... only for us to get all giddy eyed and loved up with the stranger to the east/west of where we stand........and then there's Mac Demarco......... topless....... performing with a band of lookalike pornstars and some of the most delicious, sweet, unapologetic tunes that would put any headliners to the fucking sword and still performed as if the queen herself was lighting a viceroy ready for round 2!!! Sweet Christ almighty I do adore you Mr Demarco x

Crowd is dead compared to the Glasgow show I was at on wednesday. Guess it's harder to make a connection with such a big crowd tho
it was also MAAAAAAD hot during his set, think everyone was a bit burnt out
Saw him the next day in Margate with a smaller crowd and everyone was wayy more into it
It’s one of those things, when you’re in the crowd you can really feel the people vibing around you, it’s hard to get that from an occasional sweeping camera shot haha
Plus to be fair they did mix the crowd noise a little too loud but I guess the wanted that ambience, but one things for sure; if I was in that crowd jamming to Mac DeMarco with a big blunt in my hand I’d probably just be nodding my head in a steady bliss..
Wouldn’t look that good from afar but you know I was loving it if you were stood next to me ;)
