It's 1978 and the height of punk rock. Music critics considered them the "geriatrics" on the scene. They were raunchy, sleazy rock n rollers, but man were they tight. 40 years later and still the best freaking garage band this world will ever see. That is all.

Many consider their run from Beggar’s Banquet to Exile to be the pinnacle but theirs something about Some Girls that still sounds hip today. The Stones were able to mix rock, punk, new wave, country and disco without losing their edge well into their existence.

Devastating news ths morning, as the radio guy said" it's a sad day as we remember
Charlie Watts the Drummer of the Rolling Stones who has passed away overnight aged 80 "
Charlie was a very talented Drummer, in a class of his own. One of the best and greatest Drummers. He was a very clever Graphic Artist as well.
Charlie was a man of dignity and integrity.
Faithful to his wife of 57 years, he never strayed.
Apart from all of thiis, the best action he ever took was to punch Jagger in the face.
    " I'm not your Drummer boy, I'm The Rolling Stone's Drummer "
    Good onya Charlie!!

Always have loved this song and this video. Captures the essence of the Stones. This video was one of those gems from the MTV /80's days when MTV didn't suck. The Stones had some great videos from the days prior to MTV such as She's So Cold, Start Me Up, etc too that were simply awesome in their simplicity, yet portrayed the Stones as who they are, just a band out to have fun and play some seriously awesome music.
