    Spoon feeding works great for folks like me in the transition zone who have a blend of warm and cool season grasses (not by choice). Keeps everything happy…

    Hello from Mississippi…. It is HOT HOT HOT🥵🥵🥵🔥!! I am struggling just to keep my lawn watered. Never seen a summer as dry and hot as this one.

      Hello Lisa, it's hot here as well. Temperatures in the upper 90s, heat index in the 100's. You have to put your lawn on a watering schedule. I water 2 times a week, giving my lawn at least an inch of water per week. That's all that your lawn will need in order to survive this heat. I have some watering videos that you can view in order to keep your lawn watered properly. Check them out on my channel whenever you get a chance.

    It’s June 2024. I appreciate your videos. Do you have a particular gallon amount of water that could go over a typical yard in the suburbs probably 5000 ft.² or less small suburb yard… I’ve put hundreds of dollars in fertilizer and I called the water department and 1000 gallons of water is $15.53. Educate me.

      Hello, as far as gallons watering your lawn, I don't have a particular amount. Now, if you are using a liquid fertilizer for 5000 sqft, you should be using at least 5 gallons of water. But as far as gallons from watering, I couldn't tell you. My apologies if your question didn't get answered

    Mr. Polo, what do you recommend for Bermuda Sod? I live in NC in a new development. We are all struggling with this sod in the neighborhood. Had lawn service to cut it, blade scalped it and had big burn and stress spots all over the yard. 😮 Be nice if I could send you some pics. BTW - Came across your videos and they helped me to determine what was going on. Thank you so much.

      Hello Cassandra, Thank you for your support. That lawn company needs to raise their mower up a notch because your ground isn't level. This is where the scalping is coming from. Bermuda grass needs to get watered as well. The good thing about Bermuda is that it's a self reparing grass. It will heal itself. You can send me pictures through Instagram if you want. I'll take a closer look at them 👌🏾

      You also have to cut more often with bermuda cant do that every two weeks thing with it you need to cut it atleast once a week

    • @PoloFieldsLawnService
      @PoloFieldsLawnService  Год назад +1

      @RioTheHitman Yes, sirrrr, and depending on if you treat it and how low that you're cutting it, twice a week

    What to do with both heat stress and fungus in my fescue lawn

    • @PoloFieldsLawnService
      @PoloFieldsLawnService  Год назад

      If the fungus is active, make up a fungicide batch and spray the fungus and spray the grass THAT IS NOT HEAT STRESSED. Let the fungicide sit on the grass for 24 hrs. The next day, put your grass on a watering schedule where you're giving it 1 inch of water per week. Remember, spray the grass that is infected with the fungus and the green grass that isn't. DO NOT spray the grass that is stressed out. It's already brown

      @willgaither2478 7 месяцев назад +1

      I do a preventative process. Starting first of May, I apply a fungicide to my lawn once every 26 days until late August. Since doing this, I haven’t had a problem with fungus for the past 3 years.

      @@willgaither2478 Awesome plan, I do the same. Gotta stay ahead of that fungus 👍🏾

    Hi, your video content is very good, what brands of irrigation controllers do you use to control watering? I would like to sponsor you a smart sprinkler controller, are you interested?

    • @PoloFieldsLawnService
      @PoloFieldsLawnService  Год назад

      I use different kinds depending on the type of job I'm doing. I'll need more information about this smart sprinkler
