Lovely lily savage. She made me laugh so much, then when Paul o Grady arrived I thought him a good looking chap. His shows were great with lots of stars but the best was his Battersea Dogs Home. He was genuine in his love of dogs. I loved him for his empathy towards animals. Will miss him so much. X

A Class Act from the Era my generation know--when Drag Queens had a 'classy Burlesque Style, just like Danny La Rue....
She was a lot different, a real comedian, not many like her today.
I miss Lilly, she was hilarious.
I think Danny LR wasn’t fond of lily because lily was more edgy and coarse 😂than he ever was.Danny wanted to be more acceptable and less controversial.Danny was still a pioneer but each generation must have their own version of what went before 😅

was watching the documentary the other night and they said they overan loads of the studios recordings as he kept going off script and some people had to leave to get the train home!
It would have been more entertaining if they had left everything in, they would have had so many people watching.

LOVED Lilly Savage & of course Paul Grady, both tried to make their guests/contestants feel more at ease… though I must say William Roach really doesn’t have a clue what’s going on here. I don’t think he gets Llly’s humour at all… such a shame.
