@@sumone9920 if you never figured it out ; the only thing I’ve found to help; has been 7+ years since anything OTHER than lifting weights for physique … stretching habitually; DO NOT “BOUNCE” in the stretch… it’s bad, learned this from a PT.. our ligaments and tendons are rubber bands.. what happens when you stretch, semi release, stretch again etc to a rubber band?? Exactly… now think the same for a crusty locked up one … aging & bouncing is a recipe for disaster… don’t be afraid of the pain .. unfortunately regaining or gaining flexibility is never FUN.. just make sure you’re not over exerting & you’re keeping you’re breaths reasonable… my nightly routine is calm controlled stretches for 6 breaths 1-3 reps per stretch… utilize dynamic stretches & warmups … frankensteins , walking hip rotations, & I use some old ass karate warm up routines I still remember from around 8-10yrs old! Example: feet shoulder width apart, bring one leg up & to the side, as high as you can SLOWLY, repeat 10x times , do this for side & front , that’s when I start my splits & usually after a run for 20-30min I’m good to go…
Started doing this a few months back; could southpaw sidekick above my head 7+ years ago… couldn’t kick AT ALL .. roundhouse was genuinely impossible & within a week or two my southpaw sidekick was maybe chin level! Crazy
As far as gyms go; if there are no gyms .. then what else can ya do? You can shadow box but unless your Bruce lee you’ll just form subpar form & bad habits… you probably won’t gain enough to compete but if all you want is confidence and fitness ; go for it!

Honestly both are necessary. I personally recommend Shadowboxing kicks (kicking air) as it will help you with balance. A key component to all techniques.
@@IronboyExperience Okay, thanks for getting back to me. I'll do both. At times when I kick my bag, my groin kind of hurts if I go a bit out of my range of flexability. That's probably normal though. Not to where there's excruciating pain, but just annoyance.
@@altermann1ifyMay just be your hip anatomy

This is brutal I took kickboxing for 7 years, sponsored rollerblader, played football and lacrosse in high school, here I am just turned 40 been about 17 years, the flexibility is at novice stage, I just started getting back into it, hung my 6ft heavy bag last night, I used to be able to do a 360 roundhouse like nothing above my head, now it’s just above my waist, plus I’m slow as hell, thank new sub and muy Thai is something I always wanted to learn but I have no clue where to find a gym. Thank you corona I got completely out of shape, married a Blackfoot woman professional model and I’ve always been in shape. Now I have to resort to RUclips, no offense we bought a house in a very rural Midwest town fn Walmart is the excitement out here… 🤦♂️, we are Bostonians
Any pointers would be helpful and much appreciated.
2:55 😢 that's split...and I can't do it 🙄..
Alex chnage tell me howmcih war
I need another view! 🍑
2:09... seems like you have the hands backwards??, but whatever
