- This is the first video produced about the reconstruction of Tsurphu Monastery the Main Seat of His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapas in Tibet. This wonderful documentary shows Tsurphu in the early days (1988) and includes both the Venerable Drupon Dechen Rinpoche and H.E. Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche giving a wonderful talk about Tsurphu. It is a rare and historical film.
Tsurphu Monastery was the spiritual home of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism for centuries before the Chinese invasion of Tibet. The sixteen previous incarnations of the Karmapas have all lived there. This documentary was shot on location at Tsurphu, and introduced by Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. Filmed in Tibet (1988).

@@FlussdesLebens1 Ok, you probably are ahead ot the present. We have at moment 2 Karmapas, both claim to be the 17th Karmapa, of course only one is true one.

In this article, a disciple of Kalu Rinpoche claims to have been coerced into sex with several monks and threatened with death by witchcraft if she spoke about it.
Apparently in this Buddhist school, they consider it normal to kill an innocent by witchcraft.
The person who burned down the Shangpa Karma Ling Buddhist center in France told investigators that he had been threatened with death and had been the victim of witchcraft by Denys Rinpoche, a strange coincidence.
In 2016, I visited Shangpa Karma Ling, there was a doll with the limbs torn off in the temple, right next to the buddha statue.
