Yongdu has eloquently produced and directed 5 insightful documentary films on the His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Urgyen Trinley Dorje. These films are important historical documents, invaluable to the Buddhist community.
Yongdu first became a Buddhist in 1971, with HH the 16th Karmapa in Rumtek, Sikkim, India.
He was his personal assistant and chauffeur for many years, particularly on two occasions during His Holiness trips to the US.
Yongdu established an organization to help rebuild the Karmapa's Main Seat in Tibet, ‘Tsurphu Monastery’ and began traveling often to
Tibet. The monastery had been completely destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.
The Tsurphu Organization logo was created by the late Venerable Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. It is representing the wisdom flag, which appeared in a dream to His Holiness the Sixteenth Karmapa and is a symbol for the relative and absolute truth.

Apparently in this Buddhist school, they consider it normal to kill an innocent by witchcraft. The person who burned down the Shangpa Karma Ling Buddhist center in France told investigators that he had been threatened with death and had been the victim of witchcraft by Denys Rinpoche, a strange coincidence. In 2016, I visited Shangpa Karma Ling, there was a doll with the limbs torn off in the temple, right next to the buddha statue.
