Because the example of people who work on their own character, striving for enlightenment, often stirs up the aggression of others who connect their suffering with being evil. It is because they believe that doing violence to others will bring them relief, not knowing it makes things worse. This is why the techniques of liberation have been kept secret. This is why meditation was given to chosen disciples who first of all were trained in compassion, patience, and resilience. The masters took care of them.
China doesn’t see it as a threat, just so that they can lord over it for territory gains. People are misled by propaganda, on both sides. The original Tibetan leaders are no better themselves. It’s a medieval feudalism before communism took over, with abject poverty.

I am a practicing buddhist but comparing to the narrator of this document, I am almost a novice and knows very little about our religion. What is happening 8n Tibet is very similar to what is happening to American Natives. The struggle to maintain a spiritual culture in every area is real. Americans can not look at China as evil and cruel when the annihilation of buffalo and the origional people here is just as heartbreakingly horrible. My heart feals the suffering and struggle for hope.
So hypocritical, the comments down below. Their land is still their land. The heritage buildings are still there. It’s the jurisdiction that is the focal point. Those who left a “hope they reclaim their land” comment that costs them nothing: why don’t you give up the land your houses are set on and return it to the Indigenous people?
China is only stronger, not with the suppression of difference, but through the embrace of its history and culture, this includes the people and culture of Tibet. Please allow the Dhali Lama to return home. Allow them to choose their next spiritual leaders. It's not too late.

I recently spoke to a friends girlfriend from China she referred to Tibet as a type of Disneyland.Although she was free to do as she pleased and think freely in the USA when I asked her about politics she quoted the CCP line like a parrot.Our government should take warning about our open policies toward closed societies.

I feel sad as I know the situation of Tibetans and monasteries is much worsen now! I pray for the Tibetans and long live the Holiness Dalai Lama! Tibet will be free from the tyranny!
What is happening 8n Tibet is very similar to what is happening to American Natives. The struggle to maintain a spiritual culture in every area is real.
Americans can not look at China as evil and cruel when the annihilation of buffalo and the origional people here is just as heartbreakingly horrible.
My heart feals the suffering and struggle for hope.

China is only stronger, not with the suppression of difference, but through the embrace of its history and culture, this includes the people and culture of Tibet. Please allow the Dhali Lama to return home. Allow them to choose their next spiritual leaders. It's not too late.
On the contrary Buddhadharma is, and always will be stronger than communism and China or any other communist country.

India is the one supporting dalai lama since a long time. Dalai lama lives in India with his entire community.
I'm glad India gave refuge to the Dalai Lama so he can continue to spread the Dhamma, though I fear once he is gone there will be no more true lamas.

In Oriental Tibet, the great Shambhala dwells. In the Superior Realm, of course.
I recently spoke to a friends girlfriend from China she referred to Tibet as a type of Disneyland.Although she was free to do as she pleased and think freely in the USA when I asked her about politics she quoted the CCP line like a parrot.Our government should take warning about our open policies toward closed societies.
