If you guys didn't know, the creation of the character Miles Morales was inspired from an episode of Community where we see Donald Glover or Childish Gambino dressed up in spidey pjs.
In Into the Spiderverse, where Miles is hanging out w his uncle, that scene with Glover is playing on the TV.
Wasnt part of it also that Glover wanted to play Spidey in the "Amazing Spiderman" films, but ppl kept crying that Spiderman cant be black?

If Beyond continues the ascension of the first two movies, this won't just be the best comic book movie trilogy ever, this will end up being the best trilogy of any genre ever.

LOTR will still probably beat it as ROTK is arguably the greatest film ever but it will 100% be top 3, probably second for me.

I saw this in a 4DX theater. Instant headache and neck pain for a few days, but I don't regret it 😂. The film was fire.
The thing about Earth 42 Miles is that the spider that bit 1610 (our) Miles was meant to bite him & he was supposed to be Spider-Man while our Miles was meant to become the Prowler.
You can even see in the movie when 1610 Peter meets Miles both of their Spider-Sense go off, but Miles is colored green/purple (Prowler's colors) before switching to the classic red/blue.

It makes sense tho as from the first movie you see how Miles was hanging around Aaron and becoming closer to him. I’m sure if he hadn’t become spider-man, Aaron would’ve showed him how to be the Prowler.

@@riann7707 Yeah, but how long was Miles 42 the Prowler? He's deep into it already. And when did his dad die and Aaron take over as his only father figure? The timelines seem to be all off since all the spider people are different ages from different ages, but where's that earth's Peter Parker?
The only way I see it working is if Peter Parker 42 is a normal middle aged dude who never got bit as a teen or he's a villain, likely that Earth's Manhattan's big bad. I could see him creating the spider that bit our Miles hoping to use it on himself, but it escaped. Maybe it wanted to bite Miles 42 and so it's connected to Miles in a way but it's sent through a portal to our Mile's universe in the same way Gwen was sent back a week before the collider exploded and caused the whole event.

Also, Spidey Sense seems to work like the Quantum Realm, basically it acts differently every time in every movie I've seen, it does what it wants to do. It all depends on what the writer wants and who is the protagonist and whose name is in the title of the film.

The Director said that the reveal that Miles is the first anomaly is a meta-commentary on what led to the creation of the first Black Spider-Man. Some fans believe that Miles doesn't deserve his power or belong in the mask.

In every universe two things happen. One, Spider-Man loses someone close to them. For Miles it was his uncle Aaron. For Peter it was uncle Ben. Two, the police captain has to die. Its a fixed point in every Spider-Man universe. Unfortunately for Miles his dad is about to be the police captain. Obviously nobody is going to sit back and allow their parent to be killed, but as we saw in both mumbattan and Miguel's flashback stopping a canon event can result in the universe being destroyed. Its a dilemma of can you allow the death of one person to save trillions. That's what makes it so good. You don't know what side ti choose because neither side is wrong.
Too bad they missed that part since Pat got confused thinking Peter B's universe was erased

This movie better get nominated for Best Picture are every single awards show this season! It’s sadly very rare that an animated movie gets nominated for Best Picture as well as Best Animated Film but this movie deserves it!
I honestly put Across The Spiderverse up there with The Dark Knight, Empire Strikes Back, and Godfather Part 2 as one of the greatest sequels ever made!
Some of the primary reasons why Miles was able to outrun the rest of the spider-society is because Miles spider sense was constantly going off while the spider society's wasn't. Another thing is that Spider-Mans number 1 move that makes him able to compete with the strongest of the strongest beings in The Avengers etc. is the fact that he is super slippery. He can get out of almost any situation. So far we have only seen Spider-Man use that ability against villains but here we see him use it against other spider-people.
Really good film.

Asides from the original Sony's Spiderman with Tobey McGuire (the very first Spiderman of modern-day times on the big screen), I'd say the Mile's Morales series is the next best thing. I would say the absolute best rendition of a comic book turned into an animated movie of all superhero animated movies. Not to mention the soundtrack is absolute 🔥

A small detail that I noticed was when Miles is running past the projections of opponents in the training area, the Doc Oc projection says "hello Peter" which is directly from Spiderman No way Home when Doc Oc makes his entrance!

Miguel got annoyed because Miles had a predictable response to the situation. And for all his tech and software predictions, Gwen changed her story with simple human interaction. How much research/ testing did he really do. The longer the movie goes on the more you can see Miguel is the one acting on emotion, out of pocket. During the chase scene he continues to escalate his verbiage not in an effort to lower the situation but in order to elicit an emotional response. Man’s had been frustrated for a long time, decided he didn’t like miles before meeting him and unhinged like it was his second nature
Just today, while driving home, i was talking with my kids about next movies to watch on the theater, as we have been there constantly, there is anything else to watch, so we was talking about sonic the hedgehog 3 and about Miles third movie, they were happy for sonic as we hae to wait just one year, talking about the waiting for Miles was less happy but, when I asked them if was good, they all smiling agreed it was super cool, so i told them that in that case, waiting wasn't that bad as, they need time for making the next movie that great too, a couple of years aren't that bad, they agreed 😊

Hi guys. Miles' universe is earth 1610 as shown in the 1st (into)movie and the 2nd(across) spider verse movies.
Miles 42 has a stronger Latinx accent because his father is dead. Which means that in his universe, he was primarily raised by his mother and therefore takes mostly after her. Fun fact: the voice actor for his character is actually different! His name is Jharrel Jerome and he’s Afro-Latino IRL! ✊🏾 (just another reason to love this movie)

I also heard that Hailee Steinfield wants to return as a live-action verison of Spider-Gwen. If it does happen, I also hope Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard returns as Gwen, but as Spider-Gwen in a different universe.
I also hope Miles Brown play a live-action Miles Morales with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as his mentor, and I think that Caleb McLaughlin should play a live-action Spider-Punk with Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk and Shameik Moore as Miles Morales in a different universe.
We need Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire, Kristen Dunst, Rosemary Harris, Alfred Molina, Willem Defoe, and Thomas Haden Church coming back, and Amazing Spider-Man 3 with Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen, Jamie Foxx, Rhy Ifans, Denis Leary, Paul Giamatti and Sally Field
