You have to understand that it's possible for brands to make different products. BMW can make the iX as well as the M2 CS. Just like how Mercedes is making a supercar with an F1 drivetrain as well as vans.

Such iconic cars and a golden era for BMW design and engineering. The battles the Batmobile had on the track with the equally legendary Ford Capri RS2600 and then RS3400 were epic, with each manufacturer slugging it out for supremacy. Fantastic to still see so many of them on the circuits almost 50 years after they were launched.
I'm very glad BMW started this channel, the brand may be profiting with the so called new rich but the most faithful public is the classic car lovers, such as myself. I would love to work with you guys and contribute to the preservation of Bmw history by sharing it with passionate fans and bringing more to our ranks 💪🏼 if there's any position I would love to know and apply 🙏🏻❤

I was fortunate enough to see the real one at the BMW museum in Munich and I can recommend anyone who can go there to do so, it is nothing less than spellbindingly brilliant. I hope to drive there again soon from here in the UK in my E46 325ci Sport which I’ve had for several years now and is a keeper. Can we have a follow on to this episode please where the engine is refitted and fired up - that would be great!! 😀👍

When I was a young guy I had the oportunity to work on one of them: the 3.0 CSL from Jochen Breiter, known from ZDF Television. Unfortunately it wasn`t finished when I quit the company after 2 years.
Thank you gents - I have one of the 57 series Batmobiles in Fjord blue. I wonder if anybody at BMW knows how many of each color of the 57 second series. The first series of 110 were of course 109 Chamonix and Polaris.
So, 50th anniversary huh? How about that? Back in the day I absolutely loved that white 3.0 with the stripes, air dam & big rear shelf flares! So, you don't need much of an imagination to strongly SUGGEST/RECOMMEND that BMW duplicates this car for the ANNIVERSARY! The front end, I wouldn't touch; vintage air dam, lights & grill couldn't be any more PERFECT. Big shelf flares for the rear quarters. However, the rear end needs to "evolve" shall we say? The white "Batmobile" 's rear end definitely looks it's age. It's really not making it, nor is the "Walmart wing" Maybe steal the M8's rear end for this car? Not for nothing, to see this 2021 white 3.0 CSL with the M stripes, air dam, big shelf rear quarter flares that's all M'ed out (interior, suspension, exhaust) with a 500 hp + motor coming down the street; what else could you possibly say but; WOW!?! OK, yeah there's a mid engine fever out there; no doubt about it, with 🇮🇹 leading the charge. But who, in their wildest dreams ever thought of putting a car on the street that looks like it just escaped, from being in the middle of a race; from the track? Is it you Mr. BMW??! Every HUGE BMW fan I ever ran into said that this one was, and still is; their absolute favorite. How could you not? It's MINE! Great opportunity to make a Big Play here. If you decide to do it, be nice; please don't kill us on the price,,,,,,,🤭 🤔 😎!
Didn't they already do that with CSL Hommage? Think you want a vintage car, modern E9 could no more meet current safety standards than could original Mini.
I know an older woman in California that has one stashed, under a car cover, outside in the mountains... There has never been a clunker I wanted as badly as that car.

Regarding the 1973 3.0 csl, I must know the bmw paint names/codes for the m tri-colour stripes used on this model in particular. You see, I have painted my ess supercharged, studiously modified e46 m3 Chamonix White as an homage to the 3.0 csl, and am preparing to have the m tri-colour pinstripes hand painted in the custom hotrod style (Ed "big daddy" Roth) founded in southern California. But to do this, only the original m colour names/codes will work for my purposes. Your expertise is key to my project. Thanks much, Chris

I hope to see the E12 M535i being reviewed, the real 1st saloon that beat 911's but with only 1400 produced maybe even BMW doesn't have one, I can't find it in the background, the last true Motorsport in my opinion with the dog-leg gearbox, no luxury and the rear spoiler/wing not mounted by delivery but in the boot/trunk, but i'm a bit biased, my mum had one

As the owner of an E9 (2800csa), I was thrilled to see this. What's so puzzling to me is that the beautiful configuration of the front of this car amongst its other beautiful vantage points, is that modern BMWs have strayed away from this recipe in a big way. All you've got to do is look at how bloated the kidney grill is on the new BMWs. It's absolutely disappointing and revolting from an aesthetical standpoint. I advise BMW to go back to a small kidney grill and bezel lights if nothing else
Have you seen original 1938 328? Entire front end is kidneys. The front of the E9 you enjoy (& who doesn't?) is facelift of 2000 CS, only thing they shared was kidneys. If you know the history of the company, what do you think of the kidneys on Isetta, 700, 507? Latter auctions for million$ (Elvis owned 2), BMW don't let their past keep them from pursuing their future. The large grilles are only on low volume halo vehicles & 1 reason BMW did record quarters before & after COVID. Those grilles announce to the world when neu BMW have arrived, whether ICE or BEV. Also house autonomous drive sensor hardware, as BMW continue to grow into their 21st next century future,

Those old BMWs with their giant grills ,other than the sleek version that was used on the 507, are not considered the most beautiful BMWs ever made. The e9 is ,and for good reason. Less is more, as they say. Keep your big plastic grill. When this car falls off of the classic car radar, which it will never make by the way, you could use the grill as a pasta strainer

I drive a 2004 MK4 VW R32, I only have 45K miles on it :) BMW's are OKAy...
