I love that he drives it, and he's also such a good dude, i saw it at fuel fest last year and talked to him for about 20 minutes at elite tuner, his car is amazing, his products are cool, and he's getting the kind of attention he deserves these days, good on him!
Can we take a moment to appreciate how honest this man was about being a bad driver and not wanting to track his car, and then immediately offered his car to Larry to drive on the track?! Give this man an award.
I didn't even need to watch the video to like what I saw... I did watch it too lol. Love the build and your videos Larry, just pure quality and meaningful content as always!
i normally dont like the filters that make video look like old film roll, but that e9 with that old filter took me back to being 5 years old at laguna seca watching the 3.0's rolling in.
The part at 2:50 with the XL1s is so sick dude! I have the same exact camera so it’s awesome to see other people use it to this day. Glad to see Larry likes it as well!
First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.
Dear Larry, would you kindly promise to encourage 7-Eleven to improve the quality of their Bay Area stores. We are in desperate need of photogenic 7-Eleven's. Especially in San Francisco (and surrounding area). Thank you!
Only thing i dislike heavily about it is the hood exit never been a fan of good exits doesn't look good ever full exhausts look better and give better sound because now you can manipulate how you want the exhaust to be the thickness how it's routed change the sound the material everything
an e9 with a modern bmw engine feels just wrong. honestly the original m30 is fine. it would be fine to swap a m88 inside (that is what the group 5 cars had in the end). even on carbs it would be nice. wouldn't have to period correct solex or weber. could have been modern keihin fcr or mikuni tmr. there is just something special about carb tuned car for full speed. the backfiring and rich fueling at low rev's is the sound of classic racing engines. also back when they raced those, it was not called dtm, but drm / deutsche rennsport meisterschaft and that included a lot of wild cars like the zakspeed capri, the porsche kremer 935 p.s. just for reference : ruclips.net/video/WaOYp_w2_OQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/__ft7SFkHIM/видео.html
Love the fact that it is not a trailer queen - but a super clean street prowler!
Stoked to see this out and running strong and people being able to use it besides the owner. Rad guy and sic build.

6:16 Willy is a classic gentleman - a car and watch connoisseur
Love to see Willy get showcased like this. Hands down a staple in the East coast. Big Love.

What filter? I was using a camera from 2002 😂
@@LarryChenPhoto haha, what camera was it?
This isn’t Instagram 💀 he’s not using filters
You know who Larry is right he would never use a filter 😂
@@LarryChenPhoto Nice!
That is one wild looking BMW! So cool!
Incredible build by Willy just insane street drive,
Mr Larry invitation still open The NYC car scene is waiting for you .
That car from nose to tail looks and sounds amazing. The baby blue and livery are on point with the era. What a great build.
The part at 2:50 with the XL1s is so sick dude! I have the same exact camera so it’s awesome to see other people use it to this day. Glad to see Larry likes it as well!
Would take this over a Singer! Change my mind! 😍
It not a „or“ decision…it’s a „and“ decision 😂
No need to. You've made the right choice.
WOW!!😮
One of a kind GEM!!
So awesome to see him actually driving and enjoying the car.

Willy, you rock! Love seeing this car happy on the road
I was lucky enough to see this beauty at Gridlife Circuit Legends at Lime Rock Park a few weeks ago. He took it onto the track & it sounded KILLER!!!
Love the car and love that it's being driven ALOT. Great video Larry!
I love the weird bubble sound it makes at idle
The burn marks are well earned. I'm glad it gets driven and enjoyed.

Awesome E9.
Love it!
No more words needed
This dude is so nice. I met him years ago at the New Canaan C&C with the swapped Datsun. Larry, please tell me you’re here for that.
Without this playing with fantasy no creative work has ever yet come to birth. The debt we owe to the play of the imagination is incalculable.
Saw this car at the Toyo booth during Lime Rock Historics 42, clean clean. Great vision
I absolutely love this car I seen it in Chattanooga tn on a trailer in ain a hotel parking lot for almost a week straight and admired it everyday
best ever...
That dudes a great guy. I love that he said I suck at driving.
owner is such a super nice guy, i spoke with him ages ago. helped me with loads of questions, wonder if he still makes gear knobs
I love the where’s Larry series
hope I find you in NJ or CT at a car meet too meet someday
This car was just at cars and karts in Hatfield ma. Incredible build!
so cool, an extended front lip would be great too
One of if not the coolest bmw I've seen
The road leading to a goal does not separate you from the destination; it is essentially a part of it.
I usually think of guys wearing gloves are nerds but this dudes car backs his gloves up ain’t nothing nerdy about that masterpiece.
Impressive (is an understatement)
This is the coolest car you’ve shot
What a Beast
the coolest bavarian car i've ever seen
Awesome video!
He needs a coffee pot also lol. Nice build
@@scottmaz4063 the motor is pretty caffeinated already, so better to make the coffee ☕️ decaf. 😆
@AliasHSW it's a prop for the rear fans. He has a frying pan why not coffee pot for other fan. Lol
@@scottmaz4063 i know. Lol

Holy Batman!! E9!!
Hi Brother Man don't forget about Sick week 2025 ! It would be very awesome to see yall there! Florida big dog Florida.
Ive haven't been into BMW's since the early 90's 325i and M3, or the early 90's 8 series coupe, but that looks incredible. Too bad they went soft.
'Bout time Larry got some love from other photographers in an upload..👊
Just stunning . Jaw drop anyone? 🤯
I would take a Larry Chen print of this car anyday

When will you post a video of your finished R34?
I love u Larry Chen. My God what a car!! Listen to it!!! Too many stickers but.
You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true. You may have to work for it, however.
Where can buy your 7-Eleven tee??
Link in the description
id be scared to park that thing in NY
There was no telling what thoughts would come from the machine.
Yo where can I get a shift knob? Track rubber and resin? I don’t see a link
ENGINES w SCHMUCKS !!!!
That is fucking epic. Where can I get one?
He went back to the video to see what had been recorded and was shocked at what he saw.

Like the the front, side but the back looks ugly. Needs a chunkier lower rear bumper 😳🥴

Ugh, such an amazing car trashed by the no hood thing.
To each their own, but I agree, I can't stand hoodless builds. Looks unfinished and corners got cut.
First, what an honor lol
