I was diagnosed with otosclerosis about a month ago and have been researching quite a bit. This is by far, the best explanation!

Thank you for this video. I have otosclerosis and I had stapedotomy surgery less than three weeks ago. I still have dizziness from bending over as I am healing and I am hoping that it will get better with time. Thank you for the informative video what you showed explained my initial hearing tests and make them easier to understand.

Is there anyone (anywhere in the world) working on alternatives to surgery? I have otosclerosis in my right ear and I want to join the military. The surgery is not a viable option for me.

Would you say then that our current technology to measure bone conduction has a point of weakness when it comes to otosclerosis? Or is the measurement supposed to be influenced by intertial and intra-tympanic bone conduction?

Can you please explain if/about an issue that is very similar to Meniere’s w/o general hearing loss, but come & go Neural Translation loss ( especially w/backround noise ) in hearing, but not fully able to (“translate”) make out the actual full word. Also, has the “fullness of ear & Fluid feeling”, and more of a “Cerebellum Gait” balance type / Walking issue fm time to time.
Mostly likely result of Shingles Infection that got into the ear canal for about 2 - 3 days. Lows tested badly, at that time.
The “GOMEZ ADAMS” of HEARING !!! Meant in the kindness, kiddingly way :).
