Which controller do you think you'd prefer? 🤔
why even upload this vid 😆😆 your biggest issue with them is vibration. I think you should stick to pc gaming only 😙😙
i went with the nacon option because i prefer the stick placement on x box controllers and wanted one controller to use on both pc n ps5. great info dude.
How has the nacon held up so far?
My regular controller already has stick drift. Nacon has a big plus here
You know the dualsense you can replace the sticks for 20$?
@@bigreactions1984 yes i decided myself to by the edge. Its great. And changing the sticks is super easy
@@bigreactions1984Yeah but those sticks wear out every 6 months, and you need 2 sticks, thats 40 bucks.
So yearly that will cost me 80 bucks. Thats like buying a new DualSense controller every year.
Or maybe when modular sticks with Hall Effect come out, then you only have to change them once.
@rsh8796 How fast something wears out depends completely on the amount of use. I've had mine for about a year now and I still have no stickdrift. The two standard controllers I have got stickdrift more so around the 6 month mark so at least so far my impression is a lot better in that regard with the new Edge controller. Personally I bought the Edge controller primarily because of the swoppable modules, and so far I have not had do anything.
The modules are different on the edge compared to the stock one so you cannot compare them directly just because both is a Sony controller.
@@bigreactions1984 but who wants to keep paying yearly to replace the sticks when the hall effects sticks dont get stick drift and wont need replacement
One of the best gaming news I had this year was the release of Nacon Pro 5. I have the unlimited pro 4 and loved it, but it cant be used on ps5 games...I got so used to it for fps games that is almost like I cant play well with the normal controller. The nacon back buttons instead of paddles and position, its the absolute best for me, better than scuf or aim controllers. The Edge totaly loses on that, cause it even has only 2 paddles instead of 4. The asymetric left stick is a question of getting used to it, I got so used that I find it better than the usual config. The only feature better in the Edge its the same as in the normal dual sense, which is the lack of vibration (for ps5 games) or adaptive triggers. These features dont even compare, to me, with the most important which is the configuration of the back buttons, cause thats why I bought a pro controller in the first place, and the confort of a nacon is better for me. I just love this controller, the best one for me, hands down
Loved my ps4 nacon revolution but the triggers wore down and do things on their own now. Hoping the new one has more sturdy trigger buttons
Best ps5 pro controller, hands down!
@@joaovasco3059 sim tive 2 nacon muito top mas os 2 deram problema no l1. R1 sendo duas versões diferentes mais é um dos melhores controles do mundo irei comprar esse em breve. Eu tenho 3 controles da nacon😁
@@MarcoDePolo64same bro, had the same problem but hey that controller lasted close to three years!!
When vibration on Revolution 5 for PS5??
I go with nacon because my left thumb was injured long ago and the xbox layout dosent make my left thumb hurt. Also the performance was great aside from the triggers wearing down fast. Hoping the new one has more sturdy triggers
Same
I would buy either one because I love their designs, I mostly like the revolution 5 pro design, the only thing like about the dualsense edge's design are the button logos on the touchpad and button triggers, and it's symmetrical design. In all honesty, I would mostly lean towards the nacon because of the d-pad, hall-effect thumbsticks, and had grips, but I don't like the idea of using a dongle to play wirelessly. And I'm not completely sure it's my ideal controller for fighting games. Like I racing games and shooters as well, but I been hearing how the dualsense isn't the best controller for fighting games. And I would like to buy a controller that's good for fighting games.
I hear the dongle is actually supposed to be a more stable connection then the Bluetooth, however I have not seen anyone going in depth on it yet. I know when I use BT on PC there is always more drops and input lag coming from the controller so maybe this dongle will provide more stable experience on PC. However if you aren’t a pc gamer dual sense edge seems to make more sense
I've got myself the Nacon. I did quite a bit of research and it looks like the Nacon offered me exactly what I wanted. I do feel that it's more of a specific controller for those who are die hard in a certain game. I use a racing rig for GT7 and the Nacon for efootball which are the games I concentrate on in online. For many years I've used the D pad to move the players as it's more responsive and symmetrical to the buttons, but you don't get the same accuracy as the sticks. With the Nacon I am able to limit the movement (even more so with extra rings off eBay) completely take away the dead zones and pump up the sensitivity so everything is instant like the D pad and the asymmetrical make it perfect. I don't need the vibration so it is 100% the best controller FOR ME. Overall I would say that the Edge is the better of the 2, but as even mentioned in the video, the Nacon is fantastic for a specific die hard like myself. Great review and summary by the way ✌️
How does the latency compare to the dual sense edge and wolverine v2?
you didn't have a problem with the nacon? because regarding the previous ones the lifespan of the controllers are very short
@@BoxoutCapalot, I'm not getting any latency problems on eFootball which I would notice because you need it to be responsive, need the quick reactions etc, I find it really good. I don't own the other 2 but I used to plug in the standard controller and reactions are better if anything.
@@julienmltn5465, I've only had it about a month, but I pay about £2.50 a month insurance through Argos which covers it for everything including water damage, but it's built like a tank anyway so I'm probably being over cautious. It's nice to have the insurance as back up I guess.
@busbyboy77 is the nacon 5 smaller and lighter then the dualsense? Please let me know.
I got the Edge controller and I got it primarily because of the swoppable modules. I had two stock controllers where both had stickdrift, and it's just very annoying to have two fully functional controllers, except...
So, I bought the Edge controller and I've had it for about a year and so far no stickdrift. My experience is that the modules are of better quality than stock simply because both stock controllers had stickdrift within six months.
Of course the controller should be less expensive, but overall I think it just won't be that big of a difference given I now have two stock controllers that I consider as bricks, yet I have the Edge controller that I at least believe will outlast these by a big margin. The added bonus is that the Edge controller has a better feel, and once you've tuned it to your liking it's plug 'n play like a normal controller.
The only downside is that it wouldn't hurt to have a bigger battery, but the longer and high quality power cable is just to plug in a few times every now and again and it doesn't take too much time getting some added power in there.
I hated the lighter feel of the HE sticks. Hopefully they implement tension to it
I want to try the Nacon but having to customize on the PC is just a chore. These manufacturers that get Sony licenses need to get an app or something on the PS Store that you can download to just modify things from the console itself. I don't care about lack of vibration as I tried the Victrix Pro BFG and personally didn't miss it when playing competitive shooters. Actually seemed to have better accuracy than I do with the Dualsense Edge. The hall effect sticks and triggers are what I really want to try.
Does Steam detects the extra buttons on the Nacon?
I have like a little "clicking" noise on the right stick of the Nacon 5 when i do circle motion and listen to it closely.. the left stick is completely silence.
Is my controller defective or is this considered "normal" ? Could you check yours and tell me your expereience?
2nd
As soon as i customise the curve on the right stick and dont use the presets (progressive etc) and go to test in app the stick wont go all the way full circle anymore, dont matter what shaft option i use.. but happen only when i manually change the curve. Its fine with the preset curves. Could you check that too if its "normal" ?
Just wanna make sure if i have to really return it or not. Because if its line a problem on every nacon five i dont have to go through all the struggle to get a new one just to find out it still has the same errors or i even get a even worse controller worst case...
So Nacon has immunity to stick drifting period?
Yes.
So do the new scuff controllers they have Hall effect aswell
@@bigsam5171reflex or envision?
Other reviewers have had non calibrated thumbsticks though which can break your experience. Hall effect is new and companies are having a time calibration them to perfect
@@stevenspencer5979yeah, so new the Dreamcast controller had it…
Just received my Nacon white controller as I hate the battery life of the DSE, and love the Xbox stick layout, so wanted to try something else.
DSE for Exclusive PS5 Games, and NR5Pro for PS4 and Non Exclusive PS5 Games.
I would buy one but having the left stick not be on the bottom really going to throw me off for awhile. I’m too used to having a ps controller, but I’m interested in halo sticks for sure.
What’s the verdict on the joystick lifespan? My second PS5 controller in 4 years is starting to drift and other than a compressed air can or some soldering, I know I’ll need to get a new one soon. I’m thinking edge? I’m a diegard PS fan so…
I have had to change the stick module on my DualSense Edge, after a bit over a year of that being my main controller. Although I would say I can be quite rough with my controllers - more just gripping them tightly not throwing them around 😅 - Aaron
@@pushsquare Hmm 🤔 as a technician I love having replaceable parts, so I feel like that’s a win but now leaning toward the Nacom because stick drift is completely impossible from what I hear 🤔 Thanks for feedback ❤️👊🏻
As a dualsense edge owner for a year, and not able to buy replacement modules, I recommend getting a control that is immune to stick drift.
six months without sticks modules on stock😢
Considering getting the Nacon purely for this reason, my DSE has crazy stick drift after 4 months
@@mariogal10That is a bloody disgrace.
I have the edge. The connection points for the paddles broke and no longer hold the paddles in the correct position and make them move around. I've had it for less than a year and it's disappointing when it's produced by Sony.
Which has better response?
I think the edge
Can nacon controller get modded trigger for mouseclick trigger 🤔
It has a lock, same as the dual edge, mouseclick tho im unsure but you can lock them
Are you originally Xbox or PlayStation?
Did anyone that brought the nacon come across it disconnecting from the console. Mines started doing it rather it was wired or wireless???
No not me honestly
Why does the playstation controller get around 2-3 hours battery life in evey review except this one?
I hear ya.
Every time it dies I'm like "no fucking way".
Battery life's garbage. They should have done better
They could have done better, by using hall effect it would have made more rome

I am interested in whether that Nacon Playstation 5 Pro controller has hepatic feedback and adaptive trigger function or not I am most interested in it, and if it is available, I will buy it, but if it is not available, then I will not I have a Nacon Revolution Call of Duty Black Ops controller for PS4, PC and it can work on PS5 but only PS4 games.
It doesn't have any haptic feedback for PS5 games.
I bought both a few Days ago and for me IS only the dual Sense Edge playable because of the Layout....my muscle memory is not able to Adapter to the nacon Layout....
And I paid only 180euro...🤫
how
All good with the edge till the nightmare of stick drift begins. A note worth taking is that even if you decided to change the joystick it's been out of stock for a while now and nobody knows when they're going to make a comeback. Nacon is considering an easy win here
For Fighting Games the Nacon 5 Pro over Dualsense Edge??
yeah
Yes
Yeah, it blows the DS Edge out of the water for versatility.
The DS Edge might be slightly better for shooters and any immersive games with haptics, but for everything else, it plays second fiddle.
hall effect sticks >
Well I wanted a Hall effect controller but the revolution Pro blew it for me when he mentioned the dongle and adding the weight to the handle.
Oh shut up it’s not a big deal
After 2 bad Sony controllers with stick drift . I purchased nacon revolutionary pro .don't regret it.. buy buy drift glitch and no buying new sticks every 400hrs
I have a Dualsense Edge but I want a pro controller for my PC and I refuse to buy another Dualsense Edge. So I bought a 8bitdo Ultimate but its way too small for my hands and I have small hands. Thinking of getting the Xbox Elite but Ive heard many quality issues from them. Its between the Victrix BFG, Scuf, and this Nacon. I need offset sticks and 4 back paddles.
I think the nacon is the best for the weight and feel of it plus the customisation
@belalhashim4990 I went with the scuf instinct pro. So far, so good, but I might pick up the Nacon a little bit later for the offset stick for my PS5. I have an obsession with pro controllers.
No rumble effect
5:58 Was the decider for me. What's the point of buying nacon specifically for ps5 when you need to use 3rd party app on Pc to fully utilize the customisable back buttons - the only real reason to spend more on a controller.
Is the nacon smaller ?
I'd have said the Nacon is slightly bulkier than the DualSense - Aaron
My left analog stick went bad of the EDGE. 4 months of use.
get another lol you can replace them easy
@Quedon That's if you can buy them, because they always seem to be out of stock.

What no reviewer of this product has touched upon:
If you connect a wired headset to the controller via audio jack, the mic will not be recognized and is therefore not usable. Same if you connect a bluetooth headset (which is one of the "great features" that Nacon advertises). The microphone WILL NOT WORK. Ergo, the mute button makes zero sense on this product, since there is no scenario in which it would work. At least I have not found one (Bluetooth gaming headset, wired Apple earbuds, AirPod Pro, Samsung true wireless earbuds, wired IEMs, wireless headset separately paired to the PS5). The mic will not work and therefore the mute button will not function either.
All in all it could've been a great product, but this is a HUGE flaw that is frankly unacceptable at this price point.
@@furiousanger3352 in the meantime I found out, that only some wired headsets will not be recognized. Apple (wired or wireless) products cannot be used (with mic), wired cheapo earbuds from amazon work. My pair of Antlion Kimura Duo do work, but the mic is incredibly shitty due to the controller (very quiet and extreme background buzz, no matter the settings). I tested to Antlions on a regular PS5 controller - mic is perfect. So yeah, Nacon really shit the bed with this aspect of the Rev 5 Pro.
@@furiousanger3352 I was about to buy the Nacon Rev 5 Pro after this video but thankfully came across this comment...How stupid is it that you cant even talk with ur teammates. How am I supposed to communicate??

Who cares about vibration... 10/10 for nacon
All I want is a reasonably priced PS5 controller with hall effect sticks and nice texture on the grips and nice d pad thats it I dont care about back paddles etc so Edge is out the question and Revolution is 200 quid aswell! I hope Gulikit make one like the Switch King Kong pro 2 around £65-70 that's more like it! Sony, MS and Nintendo are shameless at this point they know how to fix stick drift but don't want to they want us buying new pads every 6 months or annually, hall sensors in bulk wouldn't cost them much extra at all! I was shocked when I saw Edge didn't have them only replaceable sticks so u still have to drop some cash, Switch 2 surely must include hall effect sticks?!

Sony will never allow a pro controller to be made with hall effect sticks for that less and that's why they're a terrible company.
Hands down, the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is the better option.
It offers so much more customisation for the same price, has hall effect joysticks, and the overall build quality is incredible.
The DS Edge is only worth it if you really want the immersive experience with haptic feedback, but I think most ppl (including solo players) just want something that needs little to no maintenance.
Nacon paddles have shit position, how can you press them? I prefer dual sense edge, only 2 paddles but no wireless key required and better quality
I don't use haptic or vibrate on my PS5 controllers, just make things hard, I got my money on the Necon controller
Soon as I hear no stick drift, in my opinion it wins immediately no matter what
The biggest problem is durability.. if nacon is really anti drift, then nacon win
Never really cared for vibration in games, I rarely play competitive games but when I do I always make sure vibration is one of the first things I turn off as it breaks my concentration when I’m deep in lock in mode. Plus I mainly play story games and even when an intense cutscene or quick time event happens with explosions or things breaking I barely notice the vibrations most of the time. And if that wasn’t enough. HALL EFFECTS!!!!! LOWER CHANCE OF DRIFT!!!! WWWWWWW
Sorry, the Controller is nothing for smaller Hands. The Paddels, because of the Big Body of the Nacon heavy to handle. The lower Paddels are toooo easy to push. I accidently push the Paddle in every Gunfight. I send it back. I think the Edge ist the best Choice. Yes, only 2 Paddels. But for the feeling at playing he ist the best of all Pro`s. I hat the Scuf Reflex, The Bacon and the Besavieor. Edge Wins
I wouldv went with sonys edge if they put replaceable thumb sticks with hall effect
sure, the nacon is 180 bucks but THINK ABOUT IT. You treat this controller right and you'll never have to buy another one again! Plus, I've heard the damn thing feels like heaven compared to the regular dualsense, if I ever get blessed by having the option of getting this, whether my parents buy one for me, or if I somehow get another job, I'm taking the damn opportunity and going with the nacon.
holy cow hall effect thumb sticks! I want the Nacon Rev 5 Pro!
Im never buying another official PS5 controller again.
Like, wtf is this even a thing? Considering how much the ps5 is.
3rd party controllers like this are where its at.
This seems like neither are really worth the price point, double the price of a regular plus some is wild for some extra paddles lol
The Nacon is fantastic but it should be around 150$ not 220$
DS edge is a joke for me. Yes you can replace the analog but goodluck finding one. Sparepart availability is shit.
Why nobody notes the speaker?
People use that?
@@SuperbChickenyeah when the game is over I I unmute it to trash talk 😂
Just being only 10 dollars cheaper is a big mistake when you’re competing with sony’s controller that has better premium feel, haptic triggers, and the software to customize button mapping is native to the system
I’m interested in the controller but not at nearly the same price as the Edge, and I already think the Edge is overpriced
I've been deciding to buy a pro controller for a long time. Thinking about what to get, like the victrix controller or dual sense edge, and now the Nacon Pro 5. For me, the PS5 Dualsense Edge looks more aesthetic, is more immersive, and is unique compared to all the other controllers. The Nacon Pro 5 is for diehard professional gamers that need every single performance upgrade they could have, while risking some of the more immersive features. In my opinion, the Dualsense Edge is just better for those who want a unique controller, and also immersion that would be more entertaining for longer gaming sessions, and the Dualsense Edge looks more comfier too. The case is also important for me while the Nacon Pro 5 might have more to offer, the Dualsense Edge is just the more unique controller.
Nacon for me. My problem with controllers have always been stick drift or broken trigger. I don't want to pay $199 and then have to buy parts later. Nice try, Sony. Learn some innovation like Nacon has with their magnetic sticks and no stick drift ever.
@4:56 I KNOW BF2042's KALEIDOSCOPE WHEN I SEE IT!!! l🤣🤣
No, but really, I'm rather disappointed in the thumbstick's overly large dead zone. :( I think I'll return it and just buy an extended warranty for the Edge controller so I can replace it when I innevitably get stick drift with that one, too.
i hate how sony didnt include mouseclick triggers... the controller wouldl iterally be perfect if it had mouseclicks
Truth. I'll stick with my nagashock with all mouse click buttons, no vibration.
Why would you buy a pro controller if you’re not playing something like cod?
Comfort and customization . Once you go pro controller it’s hard to go back to traditional
Dual sense edge is good. But battery sucks!
I came to hate PS5 controllers because of drift. Looks like a scheme to sell controllers and they are not cheap. PS4 controllers had zero issues.
I personally did get stick drift on a couple of PS4 controllers but admittedly not at the same frequency as the DualSense controllers - Aaron
@@pushsquare looks like they are playing a game of chances on us lol. I will probably try the Edge, being able to change the sticks looks like a good safety.

Nice try, Sony.
First of all, this is the only Nacon controller that is supported by the PS5, as their older models only work with the respective PS console of that generation and PC.
So, how is it possible for Sony to lock your old controller out when it was never supported by the PS5 in the first place?
Secondly, this Nacon controller is 100% worth the price because it has so many advantages over the DS Edge.
Thirdly, Sony literally can't lock you out of using controllers they officially license, as that would be breach of contract with those companies who manufacture these types of controllers.
Sony literally makes money from the sales of these controllers, as they're officially licensed, so it seems pretty stupid for them to suddenly sever that revenue stream.
