    Sawyer is an awesome company known for making great products and donating millions of dollars to humanitarian aid. Saving millions of lives. I knew they made contributions to humanitarian aid. I had no idea the scope of their contributions until I happened upon a Dan Becker video about the situation. I highly recommend watching this video. With trillions of dollars spent on bs, I think it pisses most people off that no everyone has access to clean water. Good on Sawyer. Great video as usual. Let gravity do the work! Best, Joe

      I have to agree. Like paying athletes a collective of billions of dollar. But no clean water for a large population of the world. Hungry, starving people the glob over. Pisses people off. Sawyer is doing solid work. A good thing. I'll support them

    My Sawyer Squeeze carry case has a loop on the closed end opposite to the open side to allow the pouch to be placed inside when full then hung upside down to work as a gravity filter. I did buy it a long time ago and it came with all the parts needed though.

    Awesome tip! Plus, if you backflow this way you probably don’t need to bring the syringe/tubing setup that comes with it. Thanks!!

    I saw the great videos about Sawyer’s very generous and kind humanitarian efforts to get the filters to people who really need them. I was so impressed I will use Sawyer filters going forward. Love the gravity feed mod! Thanks for showing how to do it and for helping to get the word out about the great work being done by Sawyer and the people representing them!

    If you you a collapsible water bottle to catch the water, you don't have to worry about the air gap. Collapse the bottle before you attach it. BOOM GOES THE CANNON!

    The mesh bag they provide allows you to hang the 1 liter bag upside down.

    Great video, I do the same, but use CNOC Vecto as my dirty side. Glad you mentioned to unscrew the input so it does not hydro lock.

    Excellent technique. After watching your video, to make those holes I used my handheld hole punch. Now, I need to purchase the blue thingy-bob for connecting the Sawyer to the bottle.
    Edited: Now I have the adapter, happy camper here.

    Nice hack with the bag. 👍 I use a ZingIt soft shackle on a Cnoc Vecto 2L to hang on the ridgeline or branch.

    You just couldn’t resist making that “ the best “ face !😂😂. Sawyer ,a great company doing great things. The filters,fantastic ! Those bags they come with, horrible. A pain in the ass to fill, and you can’t see how much is in them. There are plenty of other bag options out there that work way better and are more durable. Nice hack nonetheless ! Cheers !

    • @ItsGoodintheWoods
      @ItsGoodintheWoods  10 месяцев назад

      I had to make the face 😂 the bags are way better than horrible. Like I said. Not the best, but works for me. Besides, I like how much they weigh and it’s nice having backups that don’t weigh much as well. Paired with my platipus bag, they are really easy to fill and gives me the option of up to 7 liters at a time. I like it. Very versatile. Works for me.

    Why Dan Becker can explain more 🤔

    • @ItsGoodintheWoods
      @ItsGoodintheWoods  10 месяцев назад +1

      Dan has extensive knowledge of the situation, as he has traveled to foreign countries on humanitarian aid missions with his church and sawyer. There is a lot of information in his video that I linked. I didn't want to copy and regurgitate his information in my video. It would have made my video much longer and veered off the theme of the video. Plus his video offers much more than mine does because he was there putting in the work. Trust me, the video is worth watching. There is a lot of information and It'll make you feel good about humanity. Here is the link. Check it outruclips.net/video/jwDqlwew7IM/видео.html&t

    The RUclips face….😂, I have a hard time accepting the fact that the “RUclips Face” actually gets people interested. I am quite the opposite. Great video man and a great hack. I too use Sawyer products. Went with the BeFree for a
    Bit until it failed after the second outing. Pinhole leaks all over. I naturally went back to Sawyer. The Platypus is intriguing though although it appears the same bag material as the BeFree. Thanks for sharing man!

    NICE NIFTY little trick awesomeness!! Sawyer is the best in my eyes for the amount it filters and price beats everything else by a long shot. I got 2 for the price of 1 at wally world haha ✌️💚✊️🔥

    Could you use a modified bottle cap instead of the cleaning adapter? If you cut the top off the bottle cap so that it becomes a threaded sleeve, would there be enough threads to join the filter with the bottle (including the slack needed to prevent hydro lock)? If so, this mod could be done in the field.

    • @ItsGoodintheWoods
      @ItsGoodintheWoods  Месяц назад

      I guess that depends on the cap. It could probably be done. The cleaning adapter is cheap enough, but no harm in trying. Give it a shot, let me know how it turns out
