Those Cirrus have gotten so nice anymore, and with that glass cockpit it just looks like a breeze to fly. And what a destination! Can almost taste the conch salad (and sure would go for some right now!) and conch fritters, some of my fav. food on this earth. Hope you guys have a great time there.
That Foreflight system is VERY GOOD!! You can see other aircraft!! That helps out with safety!!

Excellent. I flew the Diamond Star (VFR) for 15 years. I have absolutely enjoyed your TBM flights and would have loved to own a Cirrus 22. Like moving up to a Cadillac for my skill level. FYI... That's a bad ass little plane.
I miss flying this aircraft, we used to train on these at Broward College KHWO Airport. they weren't top of the line, but still an SR-20. Beautiful flying machine.
The Bahamas is the ultimate for pilots. Cat Island is also great. I flew there with my dad in his bonanza couple years ago.

Thanks so much for showing more of the technical features of the aircraft during the flight. Please do keep showing us this. I want to learn as much as i can from you and others in the years and months to come. My goal is to acquire my pilots license in a few years. So I watch all of your content for the lingo, and would love to see as much technical stuff as you can share. The close up shots of the instrument panel help with this. Again, thanks for the great content, and you are one lucky man to have such a cool job flying awesome aircrafts. I would love to have a job like yours. This is my goal someday soon. I love airplanes.

Your videos are pretty inspiring. In 2016 after seeing your video we flew to Florida from the UK where we rented a PA28 and I flew us to the Bahamas. We could not stay at Staniel Cay as it was fully booked, so we ended up on Cat Island at stayed in Fernandez Bay. It was awesome and we still managed to swim with the pigs. We are planning our next trip to Bimini, so keep your videos coming.

50/50 on the Short & Long Landings, Steveo. There's something to be said for the patience involved in coming in long, especially when dealing with wind. Of course, the Shorts and exciting too!

Great flight, beautiful plane! The satellite phone is cool. One tip: most of the Cirrus instructors I know prefer to move the CAPS cover before takeoff so that the handle is accessible in an emergency without the extra step of removing the cover. It works pretty well to just move it aft so that the two "front" Velcro tabs on the cover are attached to the "back" Velcro tabs on the roof. That way the placard (printed on the cover) is still next to the handle.
I really enjoy flying the SR22 not in the real world but on my x-plane 11flight simulator. I am not wealthy enough nor licenced to fly. I usually fly from Reunion to Mauritius and back n( 132 nm one way) from FMEP to FIMP. I apply the manifold pressure and mixture settings too at cruising level it really reduces fuel consumption.

Man, what a BEAUTIFUL aircraft that is! Love the paint and interior. That glass cockpit setup looks like it came straight out of a jet!
I think Niko of Niko's Wings is going to be very happy with his upgrade to the turbo model - can tell that thing really moves (when not comparing it to the TBM, of course!).
Great shots of the islands! Still amazes me how I can sit here 1,400 miles to the north and see these sights. Got to love modern technology!

Hey steveo, haven’t seen ya for a while. Always enjoy your flight vlogs. Keep them coming. It’ll be interesting to see how well those composite airframes hold up to the salt air. Time will tell. The cirrus turbo sure looks nice and the avionics are pretty amazing.

Yeah, I'd have voted for the short approach. It reminds me of my Navy flight training days. Those 360 overhead breaks were the most fun of the flights!

Avionics have come so far since my flying days. Last I piloted a craft, TCAS was just made mandatory on airlines. FLYING magazine was talking about "what if" we could have it in general aviation.
