Something I have learned from buying and selling musical equipment is that while it might be worth a certain amount to the seller, what it’s worth to someone else usually differs like crazy. When I sell I try to price accordingly and fairly so I get a half decent price and the buyer gets good value for money. And then I also look for the stupid deals that I just can’t lose on 😂

David, nice video. There are many "sold items" on Reverb that were listed along with a "make offer" option, and those may have sold for less, and considerably less, than the list price. The actual sale price, however, is not shown when one does a "sold items" search unless the seller did not use the "make offer" option. I have sold a number of drum items on Reverb and always take offers, and when my sold listings are shown, they do not show the price I sold for if I accepted a lower offer.

how-about pricing out stuff that's heavily modified or even custom built? smiths like lance campeau do a good job of setting a standard for cymbals, but there isn't really a good analogue for drums, percussion, and hardware.

There are current eBay listings (about 30 of them) for a broken apart Tama Achai BD pedal wherein the seller listed absolutely every single component for $26 and above ...
