RESULTS REACTION: Money VS Fame VS Love (Splatoon 3 Splatfest #8)

Dude... what. I'm actually just sad at what I just witnessed. I'm shocked Money won popularity like I know that it was more popular in Japan but referencing the Splatoon 1 JP splatfest Love VS Money, Money was only popular by a couple% so it was really close. Guess times have changed huh? Also I'm not surprised by the Tricolor result as I found defending to be harder than attacking for once. It was admittedly cool to see a 3 way split on the clout screen though, I'm just sad that Love lost. Big Man I have failed you once again. Sadge

Seeing the popularity results, this actually explains a couple things this past splatfest.
Looking back, from my experience, a majority of my battles in both tricolor and open were mirror matches against other love teams, with a lesser amount of matches against money teams, and a sparse amount of matches against fame teams. If that's the case, then the clout results are probably skewed by the fact that only a small number of matches occurred between teams from different affiliations (for those on team love or team money anyway), and that a majority of the matches played were mirror matches. Seems Splatoon 3's match-making problem has struck again.
So mirror matched don’t add any points good to know
And it's weird because you would of thought that love would encounter more of team money. Unless there's something I don't know about?

it's kind of heartbreaking to think ab the fact that frye only got 9% votes for her team when what she values the most on life is popularity
And somehow was good enough to get the same amount of points overall as Team Love did with almost 5 times Fame’s population 😅
Nintendo has to make an experiment that gives Shiver the worst team and see if she still wins.

A random fun fact about this splatfest: Team Money getting 29.40% of clout on pro, is the lowest amount of clout won by any team in Splatoon 3, beating Team Paper's 29.89% (America)
The 29.89 was in open right? It was so random like Paper won pro battles but then got brutally destroyed in Open

@@59n66 The craziest part was that Team Paper went down 3% after halftime which also doesn’t make sense considering Team Rock re-took the lead after halftime and they were winning together during Tri-color matches
I was on team Money, and I was also surprised that Money got the most votes

I never got to participate in the previous Money vs Love splatfests because I always missed them but this time I got to participate and chose team Money because all I want is financial stability
This is probably the most Invested I’ve been in a Splatfest. Team Love was getting a little too comfortable on Twitter, claiming they had this one in the bag at Half time. So glad I played until Ruler status & won as Team Money! 😆😆
I’m disappointed my first fest was a loss because I was actually stuck between money and love (I like both and not bc they’re popular choices). Really thought love would have been more popular and I got a lot of mirror matches. This has taught me that if I really want shells badly, I need to vote Shiver 😂

I feel extremely cheated. Moreso than Nessie v Aliens v Bigfoot. Team Love had so many mirror matches
I found it extremely odd team money only got a bunch of mirror matches in tricolor than in turf war
Mirror matches don’t help nor hinder a team’s results. You get clout if you win regardless of the matchup. Popularity and community effort are the only things deciding the outcome

@@momsaccount4033 What numbers?! The only number that ups is the one for Conch shells. It literally says on Inkpedia that "Battling against the same Splatfest team does not contribute to Clout score" therefore no Clout for Mirror Matches.
Everyone blaming japan but nobody thinks about europe i mean in splatoon 1 when it was japanees exclusive love won thrn splatoon 2 it was north america and love won again europe never had this splatfest this is the first time and now money won so lets put 2 and 2 together and the Europa has countrys where money plays a big role it might just be europe that helped finally help money get the win

Pretty sure some voted for love, and a few for fame.

Love should have gotten popularity votes for sure because I could count on 1 hand how many times I fought against fame and how many times I fought against money on my hands and toes. It was all mirror that we fought. BUT WE DIDNT GET POPULAR SOME HOW. (PS: we should roast shiver above an open fire and make octopus kabobs)

I think its so bad that we know half the results before the end. We know the Warm Up and pretty much the Open, because it is literally the halftime report. And in the most Times you cant tell who is more popular.
I think its sad because there are Some people (including me) that are influenced by who won the Warm up, because this Team is likely to win

I mean, I don’t consider myself to be a simp for Shiver. I just find her appealing to me, to be honest. Not solely based on her looks but I genuinely like the character. Neither do I consider myself a sweat. I’d say I’m a casual player even though I played since the first game. I just play for the team that I like the most and play fair. If it happens to be Shiver, then it’s her. Ain’t really nothing else to it 🤷♂️😅

I mean, I’m not tryna be rude or anything, but if, for instance, if Shiver would get either a terrible or good option, and the result is that they still won, wouldn’t that kinda indicate that the team is skilled regardless of the option given? I hope I’m making sense.😅

I kept on getting mirror matches 60% of my matches being on team money so I see why we won popularity

To me it was almost all the time I always got love as opponents while fame and money I did see that much
I was on love and rarely probs my matches were 80% against other love players.. so idk why it won in popularity

I have a theory. Her team the first pick in the selection, so she'll always have an advantage. Why you ask? Some people don't care what team their on and just spam A, so shivers team is picked. Even with 3% of players picking a team it's a huge advantage towards shivers team. Just the fact that her team gets a bit more players means that team gets more chances for battles so really the other points really just favor the team with more players. Not only is it adding players, you gotta realize it's also subtracting potential players from other teams. I think they should make it so that the team selection is randomly shuffled for every person

My problem is that Shiver keeps winning and Frye only won once. Big Man is balanced but Shiver needs to be nerfed and Frye needs a slight buff to increase her chances of winning. It’s not fun if you know who’s winning from the very beginning.
