- Fishing my first ever Largemouth Bass Tournament at Assunpink Lake. This is a team bass tournament so me and my buddy Garrett are working together on his jon boat to catch largemouth bass. We fished the lily pads using plastic tubes and then fished the deep drop off using crankbaits. This is a small boat bass tournament with slay nation so no bass boats or gasoline engines are allowed to keep things affordable.

If anyone knows a good net man, I'm in the market for one! All kidding aside, this was a ton of fun. Chris and I have always found ourselves heavily invested into the hobbies we pick up. That one season of tournament fishing opened our eyes to a lot of new techniques. Can't wait for more ChrisFish content to drop so y'all can see some of our other adventures.

Hey I call that a win. Going into a tourny and only losing $5 each, but getting to be able to fish all day and enjoy the nice weather is definitely a win.
So I just watched the next tournament footage and they actually shorted us $5. I totally forgot but you are supposed to win back the entree fee so they gave us each $5 the next event haha. But yea, fishing all day with my friend and great weather and catching fish was what it's all about!

Nice fish guys. Look into the Bass Federation, you can get onto some very fancy glass boats as a back seat rider for larger tournaments in NJ

@@chrisfished There's also the FLW youth division! If you have kids / want to make content highlighting an organization that gets kids into fishing. Was a great experience for me growing up in NJ, got me into environmentalism. (Hope to see you at a tournament sometime!)

Great video. I am an experienced fisherman and catch lots of largemouth bass since I have a lake in the backyard but, my fave fishing is saltwater fishing. Living in Charleston, SC all my life provides the best of both worlds. I saw comment/s about you talking too much in the video and I disagree. It's great to hear what bait your using, how your using it, and why. Keep up the good work.

@@chrisfished The bass fishing here is great. It's crazy how many places exist that have bass. My PB is 6.4lbs on an imitation craw. I would think the average is right around 1.5lbs.
