It was immediately obvious the hijabi woman worked with people. She had such strong people skills and was ready to come back to any comment in a positive way. Absolute credit to our doctors!

If homie runs a 7 figure business but only pays himself 18k, that’s how you know he’s cooking the books. I guarantee his house is written off as an office, his car is written off as company vehicle, and half of his lifestyle is written off as a business expense.

@@Zerbon yes, I was a rotisseur (no one actually call it that) in a bistro for three years. I also have several finance and business certificates. Unfortunately not a degree but enough to know how to not make a business go bankrupt. Based off of the information this guy gave, it’s pretty reasonable to conclude most of his life is a has been written off. Epically when you consider the fact he’s living less than four grand above the poverty line.
If you work long hours every day you don't have time to spend money
You don't need to cook the books you can legally write off so much

Honestly, loved this entire group but the hijabi stole the show! she was hilarious and I can definitely see her being the favourite doctor amongst her patients

as a video editor who widely talks with other people in the industry, we are probably the most transparent people you could talk to when it comes to money. because the amount of people in my industry who are not charging enough, getting scammed or anything above is ridiculous. i find it staggering that its perceived as rude or awkward to talk about income
@@ojtiv interesting to hear this. I work in B2B sales and generally find sales people are very transparent about what we earn, partly because salaries can vary hugely between different industries (and good sales people can easily switch so we are all looking for the industry where we can make good money) and also because sales people tend to be very money focused.
@@ms-jw3oy yeah thats very similar to video editing. when i was just starting out my buisness, there were loads of people being transparent about their earnings and it helped me get a range of what i should price my service at. so all in all i think it helps both parties

Why does it matter? I just see people of different races You know “Diversity” is just a more acceptable soft word for races? Why not just say things as they are instead of beating around the bush

This has always been our plan! So much more uncomfortable getting people to talk about income in the UK but we’re working on it!

To everyone from the US saying we’re being robbed or that you feel bad for us:
I’ll take my
30k of student debt (for a dual-bachelors degree and two masters degrees from top universities) which I paid off rapidly
26 days (+ public holidays) of annual POT (which I HAVE to use),
basically unlimited sick leave,
free healthcare system (including when I give birth),
ENTIRE YEAR of paid parental leave
requirement to be given 3 months’ notice or equivalent compensation (no two week BS) if I’m being made redundant
ability to walk to work (or get there by way of a short and safe subway ride)
and
genuinely more “human” workplace
over an extra bit of cash any day 😂.

Braa! The salaries are too low. A junior doctor is equivalent to a fresh attending in the USA. GP Doctors earn nothing less than $265000 per annum. Software engineers earn at least $80,000- $700,000+ Damn! UK

Surely this isn’t including bonuses!? It can’t be in London either right. My base is more than these guys, and I’d say my earning is just average in London for someone in their 20s.

Not as wide of a spread as I was imagining. From the states here. I know that it’s in GBP but was surprised to learn that doctors make so little in the UK, that number would be 4-5x that in the US. Of course they pay a tremendous amount for schooling.
Underfunded NHS thanks to the right wing government. Salaries are high in the US because they’re private & pharmaceutical companies also subsidise part of their income

Her being thrown off by the woman with the Mercedes is so classic. Generally if I see someone with something like a Mercedes or Lexus I think crushing DEBT because far and away most people who have those cars really should not be putting their money (other peoples’ money, really) into cars like that, and they are a not a good decision even if you can pay for them in cash multiple times over. INVEST.
40K GBP as a software engineer 😱 Is that a livable wage in the UK? Junior positions are paying at least 70K in my country.

Watching this from Canada is wild, these salaries are almost all (minus a few) considered low income - that’s surprising
