I hope Blue is all better by now in real time but I used to work at the county shelter and one day my personal dog caught kennel cough from me. I put a small amount of melted honey in her water and it helped soothe her throat from all the coughing and she healed up on her own in a few days. Also, it’s crazy how sometimes it takes a devastating loss like losing a loved one to show us how fragile we are and how short life can be. A friend of mine was hit by a car at the age of 15 while walking to school and that changed my whole life. I have done so many things I never thought I was capable of in honor of her. We are so much more capable of achieving our dreams and goals than we realize and we might not have as much time to do them as we think so there’s no time to wait!
I lost my English Bulldog last year (Dec) he was 11. I’ve never cried so hard, especially for an animal. He was my first dog and the best dog I could ask for. I’ll never get over it. Life is too short, but especially for animals. You’re giving blue the life all dogs want. I love you for that

First to say, that Blue is looking great. By the way, our Australian Shepherd had an idiopathic cough her entire life (15 years). We gave her NAC (supplement) and it helped to protect her lungs.

When you starred to get the Buc-ees coffee, I was like, noooo. Don't worry, there are plenty of Dutch Brothers throughout Texas now. Seeing Buc-ees after midnight is the way to go. Just be prepared if you stop during the day...a zoo. And pricey. But, the brisket is worth it. AND BEVER NUGGETS!!!
If you read this and are still in Texas, I think you should go to Austin. It's a great city. Go to Blacks for their BBQ, and you can walk around and check out the city from there. Also, suggest checking out the Family Business brewery in Dripping Springs, Texas, just outside of Austin. Dog friendly.

I'm 65 now and have had many very serious health issues but we still went and saw so many beautiful places and parks all over this gorgeous country. I would have felt so deprived without doing so. Hubs and I love nature and he's a great photographer self taught. He is my rock and best friend. I can't go like I used to, facing 2 back surgeries and in so much pain. I remember every year I had to board my cats when I went back home for Christmas they would sometimes come home with kennel cough. They sounded like they were bringing up a dry lung all the hacking. They were also fully vaccinated too but it’s like a virus so very hard to not get if they were exposed. It’s kinda like a sinus drainage cough in us until it gets bad. He doesn’t sound so bad though. Sometimes they shake it off on their own sometimes you need antibiotics and meds. Part of parent life.
I can tell you're very passionate about what you do and your pup / son . You have to take care of yourself along with your children and blue lives you very much and it's a + to have your bestie along with you in your travels . Sorry for your loss. And Poor Blue. Our pups have gotten kennel cough before and were never kenneled. Vet said they can easily pick it up from anywhere if another dog was around with it. And like you said, the Kennel Cough vaccine doesn’t 100% prevent it since there are many strains (similar to human flu). They can prescribe antibiotics for Kennel Cough even if it’s not pneumonia yet, but it usually isn’t necessary unless they’re young puppies, older dogs, or immune-compromised. We did a homeopathic remedy (ordered from Chewy) that took care of ours pretty quickly. Feel better soon Blue!

A super easy way to go quickly stealth using towels is by using neodymium magnets. You can set up and tear down in 5 seconds with a perfect seal every time. The magnets come in ANY size you want. I have blinds in my RV, but when I want to go into super stealth mode I use this method to attach window blinds up blocking out ALL light.

Glad you finally made it to Buckys! I’ve only been once, and that was in Daytona Beach. If you’re in stealth mode, I think the dark color would be better facing forward, especially since you’re backed in and the lights shining right on your windshield it would be a little more discrete.

Blue is one cute puppers! He makes me miss my Sully Boy. We lost him to cancer in December of 2020. I miss him dearly every single day.

They can prescribe antibiotics for Kennel Cough even if it’s not pneumonia yet, but it usually isn’t necessary unless they’re young puppies, older dogs, or immune-compromised. We did a homeopathic remedy (ordered from Chewy) that took care of ours pretty quickly. Feel better soon Blue!

Hey girlie , grab you some magnets with hooks on them from home depot and grab you some cloth shower curtains with some cool scenery on them( because they have the eyelets) and use that set up to make privacy screens👍

A super easy way to go quickly stealth using towels is by using neodymium magnets. You can set up and tear down in 5 seconds with a perfect seal every time. The magnets come in ANY size you want. I have blinds in my RV, but when I want to go into super stealth mode I use this method to attach window blinds up blocking out ALL light.

Oh my gosh I live about 1.5 hrs from Melissa Tx. Glad your traveling like a pro by stopping at Buckees. It would have been so cool to meet y’all! I’m a van lifer but had to take a break because I fell out of my van and broke both of my legs. I’m all healed up now and in the process of starting again!!! I’m in Ft Worth Tx so if you come this way……🤓❤️ also if you still hanging out around Melissa go eat at the Hidden Patio that’s the English name it’s really and truly in Spanish but I don’t know the Spanish pronunciation

So sorry for your loss, always take care of yourself first! Texas humidity is gross and I’m so sad for you that it’s been so humid in winter when it shouldn’t be! If you haven’t been to HEB yet, you def need to do that in Texas. HEB is to grocery stores as Bucees is to gas stations lol.

Glad you finally made it to Buckys! I’ve only been once, and that was in Daytona Beach. If you’re in stealth mode, I think the dark color would be better facing forward, especially since you’re backed in and the lights shining right on your windshield it would be a little more discrete.
