There is no such thing as "just a dog." Today, I was with a 10-week-old Aussie and I fell in love in that instant. Blue was a part of you and Taz is super adorable but she's never going to be Bubby. Grief has no time limit. You know how to handle it, no one else.
Losing Bleu is understandably heartbreaking. As a lifetime dog owner, my husband I have morned the loss of 9 dogs in our 43 years of marriage. We have fostered and loved on our 3 grand dogs. They are not things, they are heartfelt therapy, goof balls, snuggle bugs that love you unconditionally. Most of our fur babies are buried on our property with individual name plaques. As a mother to Bleu, you did everything possible to give him a life that he deserved. Very proud of you. Taz is very fortunate to have you as her mom. ❤❤
Its not dramatic in the slightest. And those who say "its just a dog" arent our people and dont get it. I love my fur babies more than every human on this planet besides my kids. Blue and you spent all day every day together. Bonding since he was a baby. The one who held and you spoke to middle of the night. Yall kept eachother warm. He gave you unconditional love and goofiness. Nothing comparws. We get it
where is the information for Joel/ I like to get a Defender truck to travel in and camp around the US? Also I hope when the other trucks arrive that you will stp by Joel's and show us, please, please do!🥰🥰🥰😍
You will grieve forever. That’s the downside to love. You do what you need to do to heal. I love my Aussie more than most of the people in my life and equally as much as my most beloved family members. Walk in peace, my friend.
Anyone suggesting grieving the loss of a beloved pet as being "dramatic" or that "it was just a dog" has a heart made of rocks. Muddy. Colorless. Rocks.
Grieve as long and as much as you need. Your true supporters will be here no matter what! We all loved Blue! We love your content no matter if it’s chaotic or planned out! 🤗🤗🤗
You don't have to apologize for loving your beautiful dog Blue! The World would be a better place with more "You's" Maria and more Blue's to share it with! Sorry for your loss!
The best thing for you and Taz is to get a new routine together. I think she will love the consistency and help her shyness. You are the best dog mom ever
Girl, you don’t need to explain yourself or your feelings!! To anyone!!! Now, what a cool Camel Defender! Secondly, if you don’t fix that spare tire, I’m going to find you and kick your butt, then buy you another dang tire! 🤪🤪🤪I think Taz has a nervous tummy! That’s probably why she had to go out so much! Happy Camping and Safe Travels!! We love you both and can’t wait for the next adventure! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🐶🐶
Grief has no timeline. I still tear up when I think about my Levi, and he’s been gone 9 years. He was my child, my comfort and my best friend. He was never just a dog. And neither was Blue. You’re doing great. Give in to it when you need to. ♥️♥️
Hi Maria, I think the little Miss Taz is showing more of her dachund traits. They love blankets and their beds. If given the chance, Dachshunds will dig and hunt small varmints (mice). They are protective of their humans. She is such a cutie! ❤
Bleu was your soulmate, a companion to you in good times and in bad. No, not “just a dog”! For those who say such things I pray they someday earn the privilege to have a relationship as special as the one you and Bleu shared. Thank you for all of your openness throughout this journey, you’re helping many as I’m sure you know. At about the same time you lost Bleu I lost my Bella. She was only 10 and it was sudden. Tho “only a cat” she was my world, my service cat as it were. I cry all the time, I will for a very long time. We are ourselves privileged to have experienced the love given to us by our fur babies. I thank God for that!
I lost my Rotti, my best friend of 11 years to cancer , it hurt like nothing else, the loss left me empty and lost. Time heals and a new German Shepherd named Wynter, filled the Void of my Taz's loss. I named him Taz because when he was a Pup , he loved chasing his tail and was like a Tornado. Love the name you gave Her, when you say Tazzy, it brings back the wonderful time we had shared. Sending much love to you and Taz.
I'm 70 years old and I still mourn the loss of Dukie and Duchess, the pair of shelties we had when I was a small child. I mourn the loss of every critter I've ever had, not every day, but when I think of them. I like to think of all of them as a huge pack across the rainbow bridge waiting for me. It is never JUST a dog, or cat, or horse. Each and every one of them were special in their own way. Don't ever let anyone try to tell you what you should feel, it's your heart and only you know when you can look across that bridge and see your own pack with all the love and joy you felt while they were on this earth.
Girl, my heart goes out to you. Anyone who has lost their pup completely understands your mourning. You do what you have to do, and we'll be right here with you compassionately thinking about you and wishing you the best. I loved how you loved your beautiful friend.
It’s not dramatic at all. It took me a year to stop crying when my dog died. She was almost 16 years old. She was a teacup Yorky. She was my emotional support system and my child. I think it’s a miracle that you’re even making videos. Take as long as you need to get over Blue he was incredible. ❤😢❤
I’ve lost a child, and mourning your dog isn’t any different when your dog is your best friend, your family, your ride-or-die. I’ve enjoyed your content - especially the long stay in Alaska - and look forward to what’s still to come. ❤💙
Ria💙❤️‼️ PLease know that your Reckless Family understands your grieving Blue💙💔 We all loved him dearly and also miss him. Please be gentle with yourself and take as much time as you need. We know he was much more than “Just a Dog”, he was your everything. He was our everything too😢 Love that Taz Girl. She is an Angel. ❌⭕️💙❤️❤
My dear you will never get over the loss of Blue, but it will get easier to live with that loss. I'm glad to hear that you are getting back out there and getting on the road. I can tell the time home, with your family, has helped. Can't wait to watch your upcoming adventures. (ps. _ love the Tess protect against the big bad cat segment - got to love a good pupper)
Oh, my dear Maria, you dont have to apologize or even feel bad. All of us who love you in some ways are grieving Blue, too.♥️ it even helps a little to chat about him. There will always be room for Blue. I lost my sweet furbaby her name was Bindi 3 years ago to cancer, too. So I get what you're going through. So lots of love. Onwards and upwards.
Maria you don’t apologize for grieving Blue. It’s been a year and I still cry over my loss. Blue was special. Not just a dog,but a traveling companion, a friend who experienced and enjoyed your travels with you. Dogs give so much and losing one is difficult. Good video. You enjoy camping so much. Hug Taz for me. She loves you and she’ll be happy anywhere you are hopefully not as shy the more she travels. Be safe. ❤
Blue was your best friend and companion for a long time. Don't let anyone tell you, oh, it's just a dog, because they are family members. I lost my parakeet Moe four years ago when I was going through cancer treatments. I still miss him.
Do whatever drama you need to. When you live alone with your dog, they become your child. You have to do everything for them. Hell, I still cry now that I know Blue is gone and I try to catch up and binge watch you both. I opened this video 9 minutes after you posted and it already had over 1300 hits. I must have missed the one you named Taz. I think that's perfect for her. When I love my dog Every, and when we tuck in at night I think of Blue and send up a prayer for him...and you. My love...Scotty, passed in 2015 and love never ends. My heart twisted when you went to Homer and the sunset...and Blue...I knew what you were going to say. Aloha from Alaska
Dogs are so hard to grieve, because there love is so unwavering and pure. They don’t judge us and they love unconditionally. I can’t imagine what this last year has been like for you but you deserve all the time in the world to grieve such a special soul like Blue. I can feel his presence in every video you put out. also Taz is too cute 🥰 At least you know there will be no cat attacks because she doesn’t play around 😂
The purpose of a dog is to teach us to be more human. Those who don't understand that will never deserve the pure unconditional love that dogs offer without asking for anything in return. Over the years, I've grieved more for my dogs than I have for some people I've known. It's never just a dog...
I've experienced a lot of loss during this journey. From mom to grandparents, and even a murdered sister. I dont have children and haven't suffered that loss thank God however the loss of my dog of 13 years has been the most difficult grieving process. It was a year in June and it does get easier with time. My life will never be the same however is changing because thats what life is all about. I'm happy to see you and Taz connecting more. A black cat has been helping my healing process and for that i am super thankful. Thanks for creating this space 🙏🏽
Ria, healing from grief takes as long as it needs to, you don’t ever have to explain to anyone. Blue wasn’t ‘just a dog’ your heart knows love whether it’s for Blue or a human, and it doesn’t make it hurt any less when you lose either. Blue was a rare soul and most of us would be lucky to have such a bond. Glad to see that you are doing better. Miss Taz is very sweet. 🩵
I love that you’re honest. No need for apologies about blue. You were with him 365 days 24 hours a day for 8 1/2 years. He was a part of you. We all get it our hearts are with you.😊
My dog, Abby passed away 12 years ago and I still mourn the loss… She wasn’t my dog. She was my daughter and my companion. And I miss her every single day. I never want to stop mourning the loss of Abby because I never want to forget just how much she meant to me.. She is sadly missed, but I know I will see her again when I step over the rainbow…. I truly feel the pain you are going through Maria… Blue was an absolutely beautiful and loyal companion, and I sympathize with you for the loss of such a beautiful boy… Now you have a beautiful young girl that needs the same kind of love that her brother had from you…..
Losing a dog is never easy. 7 months now and I still sob often. I know how you feel. Find joy in the fact that you got to have all them wonderful experiences with him. You gave him the best life a dog could ask for. ❤
Our family does not deal well without a doggo. I’ve always felt that when my doggo passes , she /he leads me to my next doggo. I love your bond with Taz. Super awesome and clearly meant to be even though tho she is different than Blue. You are an amazing dog mom .
"Why is Summer a thing" is what I've been asking myself everyday, ugh😝 Anybody who says "He was just a dog" has clearly never been a dog parent & doesn't know what it's like to have the love & loyalty of a furry 4 legged child! Besides, grief has no timetable & all of us deal with it in different ways. I still miss every dog I've ever lost, every day! Blue was adored by so many & he will remain in our 💙's forever and will be a part of this channel,no matter what 😰
Grieving is a process and takes the time needed by each individual. We're happy to see whatever content you put up. Take your time, we'll be here. Little Taz is a sweety and the Tazmanian mascot sent by a viewer is so cute. I loved when Taz sat on her bed tipped sideways and seemed totally content with it that way. So funny. Take care.
No one can tell you how long or hard you can grieve sweet baby Blue! That’s your journey! Those of us that grasped just how in twined the two of you are know it will take time. We’re just happy to hang out with you doing whatever makes you smile! Having lost a child and a fur baby I can say they both suck. Time is the only thing that helped me find a new normal..a new peace! You’ll find yours! Much love from the Pacific Northwest 🌲❤️🌲
I'm happy for you Maria. I know something about grief and I am sure the past year has been rough on you. Losing your best friend it's gonna take a while even to get back to feeling a little bit normal. Give Taz a big hug every day.
Everyone grieves differently and I feel that the love of a dog is so genuine & different from any other love we experience in life. I lost my 12 year old Shih Tzu mix unexpectedly last November (which at that time I was 24 so I had her for half of my life) and I was a wreck. I had her bowl of food out for two weeks after her passing and just last month I finally packed up her kennel (and yes I broke down). The first year is always the hardest because when you’re so used to having them in your daily routine you notice their absence. I think you having Taz has helped your grieving process because we have two other dogs that helped with ours which was nice because it’s wasn’t as big of an absence vs. the dog that passed being your only dog (if that makes sense). Sending a lot of love and tight hugs to you💕
G'day, Glad to hear that things are getting better. I have never owned a dog in my many year but have had over 20 kit cats during our 44 years of marriage. Due to health issues we were unable to have children so our cats have been our furry kids. We can really relate to the loss of one of the kids. Blue will always be a part of you but your patience with Taz is really showing through. I am actually at retirement age and stored out on the farm is a high top converted Chevrolet Suburban. I have a lift kit and some really stout driveline for it. If I can I am going to put it together and see how truck camping is. Take care and be safe please.
When I found out Blue was gone, I have been grieving his loss too… I’m looking forward to the day you get another Aussie! I think a new puppy for tazzy to love would be an awesome addition to the channel! Maybe a little girl this time! You take all the time you need to grieve blue! We love u girl! ☺❤
Awesome and love to Tazzie! She is soo pretty :) We love you ! My dog son Chester is my entire life and I have been praying for you. I wish I had something better to say but know we all support you 100%! There is no "it's just a dog". They our babies and our hearts and souls.
Dogs are family. 'Nuff said. No need to apologize for taking the time you need or handling grief the way you do. What is right for you is right for you. Glad you are starting to feel human. I understand the daily struggle. Always looking forward to your next video! Stay safe Maria!
"H-O-T-T-O-G-O, you can take me hot to go" like your channel couldn't get any better, and then you throw in some Chappell Roan! New state, LFG! Glad you're feeling better, Maria.
I’ve enjoyed your sporadic schedule since blue died. I tear up thinking about him and I didn’t cry this much for any of my dogs. Don’t apologize you’re doing great. You have gone through the natural grieving process. Continue your sporadic schedule do crazy stuff you owe us nothing we enjoy everything you do no matter what it is. We’re here for the ride❤
Alright Maria, out of all the rigs, this is the coolest, besides Poe of course! You can never not have a Defender now. 🥰👍 (p.s. take all the time you need to grieve, I would be the same way about one of my special boys… you are doing the best you can! ) thank you for inspiring us!!
Pets aren’t “pets” they are apart of us our family our children they mean everything to us and blue was your son he was and will always be apart of you travelling along side you with taz, still with you finishing what you guys start years ago he was your bestfriend. I’ve had my cat for 9 years and she is my baby my soulmate I would do anything to protect her. I found your account at the start of January and I’ve been watching yours and blues journey and it’s been beautiful you could tell how much he loved you it was the sweetest thing ever ❤
Taz is so adorable it looks like she has a little white heart on her head in this video and the sweetest face ever. So excited you and Tazzy are heading out on the 50 state road trip. Maybe you will be back to finding all those beautiful forest and lakes I bet Taz will love that. I just put that book on my to read list. Can't wait for next week.
Maria, would you ever consider finding a “stationary” family for Taz? This dog lives in constant fear and anxiety. That’s cruel. She is not getting used to a lifestyle YOU choose for her. Maybe it would be best for her to live in the house permanently as she feels safe and happy staying at such environment?
We loved Blue and hope you are healing , He was a blessing ! Our Mr Jackpot has been gone 2 years and I miss him so much still we never forget their essence .
So good to see you back on the road. The camel is nice, but I like the literary connections of Poe. I mean, who else has a truck with a Raven on the passenger side door? You will go on and do more videos and live your life. That doesn't mean you will ever , ever, forget Blue, and neither will your subscribers: In the words of that other Poe, "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore.!" You will get stronger each day though, and while you will still do it through the tears, you will begin to focus more on the happy memories, and less on the horrible grief. Believe me, I know how it hurts to lose a fur baby.. They are such a special part of our lives. I am a new subscriber, so I have been going back and watching your other videos. I even ordered a tee shirt, and received it today. I like it, but I got the dark green one, and the logo doesn't show up very well on the dark color, so I may well get another one so Blue will show up even better. Stay safe out there on the road! See you next time!
I just want to say that sometimes rescuing an animal doesn't always mean it's their forever home. Sometimes it's just their chance to get a break and have a Guardian who will ensure they get to where they need to be, in the end. Just like humans, who may be RV-overlanding-tenting-or homebody folk, so are dogs. I don't think this is the lifestyle that suites Taz. It's not mean or sad to admit it and be her Guardian to find the place she needs to be. As a rescuer, you would never abandon her back at a shelter or on the side of road; however, that doesn't mean you need to keep her in a lifestyle that clearly isn't working for her. There's NO shame or hate in admitting that and finding what will work for her as you have found what works for you. I know we only see snippets, but since you've brought that dog in, from what I've seen, it just isn't her cup of tea. If you're at all feeling that in your gut-it's okay. I know and trust you'll find her the home that works for her. And in turn, you'll find the dog that works for you and your lifestyle.
I know you think this comment is nice but it's actually rude AF!!!! You're right we only see snippets Karen, so keep your rescue diagnosis to yourself. As someone that works in rescue, I can tell you with all confidence you don't know what you're talking about!!! Rescue dogs take a long time to adjust and that's what it happening here.
As an avid animal lover, I was searching for this comment, thank you for saying something!! I've only seen a couple of videos since she adopted her new dog, but I noticed that in each video that her car lifestyle is seemingly taking a huge emotional toll on Taz. No dog should be at those levels of stress consistently. Every animal is different. Heck, I am scared of being in public and being outside makes me feel physically sick. No animal or person deserves to feel anxious a majority of the time. We also only see a glimpse of their life so we also cannot just assume and judge her situation. But please consider professional training or a hiatus or something! Also I rescue elderly cats and loss is extremely hard. Sorry for your loss and please take it easy!!
Most people like myself completely understand what you’ve been going through through. Most of us are animals are our children and when you lose them, it’s extremely hard. I lost my fur baby on September 19 of 2015 and I still cry at times because of how much I miss her. And a few months ago, I had to rehome my dog because of behavior issues. Was a huge loss because I felt like I failed him. I spent as much as I could on training and trying to get help but the best thing for him was to be with somebody who isn’t me. He was being aggressive towards other people and animals because he felt he needed to protect me. he is doing amazing now and I know he’s going to continue to thrive and be the happiest dog he can be. You should never apologize for being a caring, loving human being.
I had Sammy til he was around 12-15 years old. That was at least 20 years ago and I still catch myself suddenly crying for him. I have a cat named Angel now with the same personality as Sammy! 😸
As much you love Taz and she loves you, this lifestyle is really not for her. I cannot imagine being under such a big stress every single day as she is when changing the environment so often. Hope you can give her some break to decompress.
It has been a year and a half and I still cry from time to time when I think of my Maggie. If people are coming at you they need to get over it. Hang in there Maria
Hearing you feel compounded to apologise just confirms what a genuine down to earth person you are. The loss of animal is a real hart ache. How do I know this simple I’ve gone though it 8 times in the years past. But that is all part of having a dog as a member of your family. It doesn’t make you feel any better but it does get easier. You can reflect and access all the memories and even look at photos and nowadays we have video footage. Please as far as I’m concerned I am not expecting you or even assume that you need to explain yourself. I view your channel purely to see America as a country as I live in the uk I am fully aware America is a beautiful part of the world , and to be honest it’s cheaper to just let RUclipsrs do the touring for us folk that don’t live or come from America. For this I thank-you I also thank you for your channel allowing us limited access into your life. And being limited it should be. I wonder if joe gets his defenders from my bud who sends quite a lot worldwide because I have 250 of them and I do supply shipping agents occasionally. They were designed purely to be industrial work horses but their versatility makes them a true British favourite amongst the farming community.. Once again many thanks for your content safe travels and give your dog a huge tickle for me 😊
Mom type post. Love your videos. Taz is sweet. And especially with you. We have a dear rescue. He took a year to go out the doggy door. And then one day. Flap flap we heard him going out! Same thing with his bark. Didn’t bark for a year! Ours is the sweetest best dog we’ve had. Everyone needs grace and time for healing. Sending you love.
Hi Maria. We will always be here for you, to help you grieve and watch your journey through life. You have given all of us a joy that cannot be described with words alone. Here to show my support and gratitude for all that you do and who you are.
Maria, you do whatever you have to do to grieve and heal ❤I'm not even a dog person but I loved Blue and your connection to him (and his to you) was clear. I have experienced losses like this before, including a baby, and what I can say is that 1. you HAVE to let yourself go through the grief and let it move through you so it can leave you eventually and 2. I promise that dark haze that you feel is coating everything will dissipate and your longing for Blue will become something that you can hold inside while functioning normally. I think we are lucky to have experienced these incredible relationships that can't even be described by words ❤You're handling it really well and I'm proud of you and inspired by you
Grieve as much as you need, i lost my Sam over 2 years, still can't watch his videos or pictures, just hurts too much. I'm sending you prayers and positive energy... Love your content. ❤❤❤
Don’t ever let anyone tell you he was just a dog. I’ve lost several pets in my life and it never gets easier. I’ve lost my parents too, and I can’t tell you one loss was more painful than another. When we lose what we love, we hurt. Your Blue will always be a part of you and that’s as it should be.
I totally, totally understand about your grieving process for dear Blue. My Riley has been gone for almost 10 years and it still guts me unexpectedly now and then. Those first months it was like I was swimming through thick jello or something. I’ve never grieved anyone like him. I truly feel like I lost part of my heart when he died, like I lost… my soul’s other half. Like I’m a widow now. So, anyway, I get it girl!!!! You’re doin’ great. I can see the life coming back into your eyes, your enthusiasm starting to kick in again. It was so sad to see how hurt you were the last months. I had to keep watching the channel to support you. I just get it so much. ❤💔
Maria, my boxer mix Jazz is with me 24/7. The bond you create with your dog when you're with them all the time is undeniable. When I heard of you losing Blue, it broke me too. The joy and happiness between you two was inspiring. I truly dread the day when I lose Jazz. You never get over losing a special family member that has given so much love and joy. We learn to live without them. With a hole in our hearts they used to fill. Big air hug to you and Tas from Jazz and I. Keep Roaming Reckless, knowing Blue is watching over the two of you.
Oh gosh! There is never a time limit of any loss! It doesn't matter if it's human or animal! I have lost many dear and beloved animals, which included so many dogs! Grief has to work it's way out till it is no longer painful! There will probably always be sadness but, Taz can help you through that. I still grieve for animals I lost in my childhood, and I am elderly now. I hope you continue to love Taz like I see you do on your videos! If Taz could talk, I am sure she could tell you many sad stories of her past! She really is a great dog and will, as time goes by, bond with you even more deeply than she already has! She is a great little dog! I know and love Aussies so very well, as I live with quite a few! I love your videos and the wonderful young woman that you are! Kisses and Hugs to both you and Taz!!
You don't need to apologize to any of us. You and Blue are like family to all of us that watches you. You take all the time you need. Blue was your child in so many ways and your constant companion and was with you thru so much, So you take the time you need and don't feel like you need to rush back to what was normal before. To all of us that watch you, You and Blue turned into our family and became part of our lifes. We all loved Blue and know how much you loved and cared for him. We will be here thru it all and ready when you are. Much love,To you and Taz.
🐶♥️ you did loose a child, you cared for him just like a mother would a child. They rely on you their whole lives for everything so it’s like having a baby for years. I lost two of my dogs in the same month and it ripped my heart out! I do have 2 kids as well but my pets are my babies too. I am so excited for your future videos.
As someone who just lost one of my dogs unexpectedly over the weekend. Hearing you talk about it, helps. The process takes time and he was my kid before my actual kids. Him and his sister have been together for 10 years from birth till Friday. Having her here helps, but the process you are going through has just started for me. I feel it. Dogs are not just dogs.. anyone that has had a dog/pet knows that. The first time you get licked in the face by your dog your heart grows 3 sizes like the Grinch's did. Keep it going! Love from a fellow Michigander!
I completely understand how you felt about Blue!!!! I lost my 14 yr old fur baby back in January and I cried today playing with my sister’s little dog! They become part of the family very quickly if you love them! I love your channel and all videos! I’m glad you and Tazzy have each other! Stay safe out there! Hugs and prayers 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻🌹
I don’t know you personally but I do know what heartache and grief are. As a pawrent I have seen three fur babies go over the rainbow. I now have two maltipoo/Shih tzu’s and at first they sort of filled the the huge void but now we are bonded. After the loss of my husband on 8/29/22, I don’t know what I would do without them. Grief has no time limit and your are entitled to feel as you do. Glad that you have Taz who also knew Blue. That’s so special. Sending hugs and much love - Ginger. 🫂♥️
Your grief is real. My pup is everything to me and when blue was sick i loved on my pup more. Grieve and live your life as you see fit. Love all your content and your compassion for living beings
Maria you are a wonderful Mom and of course you are going through immense grief, and we all care so much for you and Blue (and now Jazzy Tazzy :). I am so happy to see you post at all because that kind level of grief is debilitating and really difficult on its own, but you add a life lived as a youtube creator, of which Blue was a huge part of, and I think that makes it so much harder for you dear. I cried every day for 2 years when my beloved Balto passed, and it took me 2 years to get another dog as well. And now I have Tucky and he is also my kid! My human kids are grown up now so our fur babies are almost like having them still home and still really young. It is wonderful and healing, so I am sure having Taz helps. But nothing heals grief like time, and allowing your happy memories of Blue to stay alive. You are very fortunate to have years of pictures and videos with Blue, and you know he still lives in Heaven and can hear you. Much Love to you and Tazz!
Never apologize for how you grieve. Grieving is a personal journey unique to you and the reason you are grieving. Your loss is real and deep. Dogs imprint on our soul at the deepest level. Not everyone will get this until they experience a loss like you have. My view is that any content you share during your grieving process is bonus content and highly appreciated. The fact that you still post and discuss the loss of Blue is a testament to your strong character and dedication to your life’s mission. Stay Reckless, Keep Roaming!!
Girl, I lost a friend and my dad last year and I am in absolute pieces. I feel like losing an animal can be similar and if worse because of how specific that bond is. My dog is my sunshine and he is a mystery age because I adopted him with almost no background information. Every day is an absolute gift, and I know I will be a wreck for a very long time when he leaves me. I’m so sorry again for your loss and that pain is gonna stick with you, but like you said we are becoming human again. I’m starting slowly but surely to feel like a human again too from the grief. I still cry about an aunt that I lost over 12 years ago and it hurts like it was yesterday. I’m excited to watch your adventures. We all miss Blue too! 💔
Maria, I get you. I loved my 17-year-old Cat Q. I had him since he was a few months old. He has been gone for 18 years and I still tear up thinking about him. Blue was with you for as long as he needed to be. Taz needs love from you as she will also give you. Dogs love us unconditionally and show us how to be better people. Be well and happy camping!
Losing blue is like losing a child there’s no such thing as he’s just a dog. He was your fur baby and your lifelong companion. You need to grieve in whatever way is best for you. Many prayers your way and Taz is a beautiful little rescue pup.✌🏽💜🙏🏽
I look at both of my boys and my heart aches thinking about the day I won’t be able to love on them or get annoyed by them or take them on adventures. They’re not “just” dogs and Blue was such a massive part of your life. Of course you’re going to grieve him for more than a few weeks. There’s no need to apologize for that or feel like you’re not moving on fast enough. Blue was such a special man and he deserves the love he’s still getting from you, and the people in the community you built. Grief doesn’t have a time limit. We all feel the loss of blue.
There is no such thing as "just a dog." Today, I was with a 10-week-old Aussie and I fell in love in that instant. Blue was a part of you and Taz is super adorable but she's never going to be Bubby. Grief has no time limit. You know how to handle it, no one else.
Amen! You take as much time as you need, sweetheart!!! We are all grieving for Blue with you!!!!!
No need to tell us how deeply you loved Blue. He was family ❤ ...please don't give naysayers an ounce of you 🫂
💙
Blues collar on the rear view mirror. 😢
@@aussiesandtrails Yes, that is something I'm sure I'd do too. Maria keeps him as close to her as she should.
In honor of Blue, you should collect something blue in color from each state visited going forward 💙💙
I love this!!!
Such a wonderful idea 💙🇦🇺
We love you 💙
💙🐶
No need to ever apologize for how you deal with grief. You just take care of you.
We all really enjoy your content. Stay safe!
Girl!!! 4 years later and i am still grieving the loss of my 20 year old cat that I lost during 2020! There is no time limit and you do you!!!
About mosquitos… try running a fan and blowing air on the two of you - they can’t fly in wind of fan ..
We get it
Well said. Anyone you thinks Blue was just a dog, has never had the love of a dog 💙
Joel gives off such dad vibes I love it
where is the information for Joel/ I like to get a Defender truck to travel in and camp around the US? Also I hope when the other trucks arrive that you will stp by Joel's and show us, please, please do!🥰🥰🥰😍
You will grieve forever. That’s the downside to love. You do what you need to do to heal. I love my Aussie more than most of the people in my life and equally as much as my most beloved family members. Walk in peace, my friend.
Going home was the best you could of done. Grieving is no joke. Take Care ❤❤
I should've done it a lot sooner
Anyone suggesting grieving the loss of a beloved pet as being "dramatic" or that "it was just a dog" has a heart made of rocks. Muddy. Colorless. Rocks.
Grieve as long and as much as you need. Your true supporters will be here no matter what! We all loved Blue! We love your content no matter if it’s chaotic or planned out! 🤗🤗🤗
You don't have to apologize for loving your beautiful dog Blue! The World would be a better place with more "You's" Maria and more Blue's to share it with! Sorry for your loss!
Beautifully said!
Well I WAS headed to bed, but not now! 😅 can't miss a new Roaming Reckless video.
Everyone loves and also grieves DIFFERENTLY. Cry when you feel it and cherish those beautiful memories. ❤
Girl you got this! Blue was not “just a dog” he was your friend, your companion and your protector. Keep on truckin’ you’re doing so good!
Same, my girl has been gone almost 3 years. I still cry every single day thinking of her. I’ll miss her until the day I die.
😢😢😢sorry for your losses.
"Time has a way of taking time." Glad to see you're healing but never forgetting. 🐶
You just take your time grieving, you don't need to apologize to anyone. Only you know how deep your love for Bleu was. You will be ok.
Now that’s much better than the cybertruck.
Realll
Yes! But you gotta admit the Cyber Truck was cool cuz Maria and Taz were camping in it 😂
not as reliable we have seen poe LOL
No need to apologize! Dogs are family and we will enjoy your content any time you post it!
So sorry for all your losses. I pray God will comfort you.
I truly feel the pain you are going through Maria… Blue was an absolutely beautiful and loyal companion, and I sympathize with you for the loss of such a beautiful boy…
Now you have a beautiful young girl that needs the same kind of love that her brother had from you…..
I lost my dog Pauline 5 years ago (she was 18 years old), I still talk to her out loud when I'm alone 🥲
I do the same. Never stop talking to them They may not be standing beside you in body, but they are definitely there in soul.
Losing a dog is never easy. 7 months now and I still sob often. I know how you feel. Find joy in the fact that you got to have all them wonderful experiences with him. You gave him the best life a dog could ask for. ❤
That ‘98 blue defender though. Wow!
I wish she’d get some a/c
Our family does not deal well without a doggo. I’ve always felt that when my doggo passes , she /he leads me to my next doggo. I love your bond with Taz. Super awesome and clearly meant to be even though tho she is different than Blue. You are an amazing dog mom .
"Why is Summer a thing" is what I've
been asking myself everyday,ugh😝
Anybody who says "He was just a dog"
has clearly never been a dog parent &
doesn't know what it's like to have the
love & loyalty of a furry 4 legged child!
Besides, grief has no timetable & all of
us deal with it in different ways. I still
miss every dog I've ever lost, every day!
Blue was adored by so many & he will
remain in our 💙's forever and will be a
part of this channel,no matter what 😰
When you lose an animal, it’s just like losing a loved one take all the time you need to grieve I pray for you daily
Thanks!
Sending a lot of love and tight hugs to you💕
Grief takes as Long as it takes Blue was Your family 🌹
G'day, Glad to hear that things are getting better. I have never owned a dog in my many year but have had over 20 kit cats during our 44 years of marriage. Due to health issues we were unable to have children so our cats have been our furry kids. We can really relate to the loss of one of the kids. Blue will always be a part of you but your patience with Taz is really showing through.
I am actually at retirement age and stored out on the farm is a high top converted Chevrolet Suburban. I have a lift kit and some really stout driveline for it. If I can I am going to put it together and see how truck camping is.
Take care and be safe please.
No such a thing as “just a dog”. The love for and of a dog is like no other 💙
When I found out Blue was gone, I have been grieving his loss too… I’m looking forward to the day you get another Aussie!
Safe travels!!💚
We all progress through the fog at our own pace…. Blessings!!💚💚💚
Hang in there Maria your fans are here for you ❤
My pets are my kids. Period.
We all grieve at our own pace. We’re all here for you. ❤
"Ray men noodles"
That's the first time I ever heard anybody pronounce it like that 🤣
Ria, it's pronounced "raw-men." ❤
Taz is so adorable it looks like she has a little white heart on her head in this video and the sweetest face ever.
I was thinking this too ❤
He was not just a dog he was your best friend and good boy! Every single person’s grief is different that’s a fact
MAAAAAAAAARIA..........LEEEEEEEEEEETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
🥹
We loved Blue and hope you are healing , He was a blessing !
Our Mr Jackpot has been gone 2 years and I miss him so much still we never forget their essence .
Really need to get one of those extendo leashes for Taz. Let her run around a bit while still hooked up to the truck 😭
I agree
@@Mko007 the 4ft leash ain’t it.. 😩
she has a 50 footer, I just don't film with her on it I guess
That's true 👍🏻🙏🏻
Richmond Hill Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Blue was a family member, no need to apologize. I think most of us get it.
