Thanks for the update! I'm similar starting weight and same goal as you :) I am 4wks post op on Tuesday. Bring on soft foods! ( May have been naughty n had a lil this weekend though 😳😳 Hope everything continues to stabilize and get easier and easier for you :)
Love it, challenge accepted. 😀 Our docs stick to averages and statistics. It is possible to achieve more than average. I personally like to use the doc's number as a stepping stone.
Indeed Barb! thanks for your comment..... I am so keen to get this weight off but my brain is being an obstinate 2 year old this week but I will get there!
When I eat out, I always ask for a to-go box. Leftovers make great meals. I always worry that the waiter/waitress will think I didn't like the food. Just a word of advice, beef and raw veggies, lettuce, carrots, celery are harder to digest so you might want to avoid those to well over 3 months. I haven't had too many problems with Tiny P accepting different foods but even last week, (8 months out) my tummy protested Canadian bacon. 3 days later, I ate the bacon and was fine. I'm actually surprised I tried the bacon again because if Tiny P gets unhappy, I don't try it again. I'm getting better about that. Sympathize with the arthritis issues. I find that if I keep walking, the stiffness gets better and my stationary bike has really helped my knees. One sign/s that you are full is hiccups or in my case, one hiccup (weird), sneezing or a belch. There's a reason and I'll explain it if you like but those are non-stomach kinds of signs to say you are full. Great weight loss. You are doing so awesome and you should be very proud of yourself.
Thank you so much Lyn! I seem to be able to stomach beef and anything else which dietician was impressed with but of course when I eat these things it is a little less. I have now experienced the hiccupy belch sneeze fullness which is quite funny despite the little bit of discomfort!. I am pleased with my weightloss 6 1/2 weeks post op I'm down nearly 19kg. My physio has now corrected/or re taught me how to walk and I am having much less trouble and walking much quicker with less discomfort now which is amazing. Actually just came back from a walk with Hubby and dogs and it was a bit of a hill to the end of our street and I did it. I can't wait for water aerobics to start again the week after next and I will be starting pilates with the physio in the next week or so..... Not sure how I will get time to go to work or do work at home but I am determined that I need to do these things for me and fit the rest in instead of the other way around! thanks again for your comments and advice.
