I have to thank you guys again, your videos have been invaluable to me as a new player! Though all this inspiration comes with the somewhat unfortunate side-effect of wanting to buy lots of new ships haha
Thank you for watching, Riley. We find that we have to apologize to a lot of wallets. However, if we are creating opportunities for inspiration that is not necessarily a bad thing, right?
Nice to see a GAR Ywing swarm in action, although the Rebel squadrons did a good job keeping them engaged. I had a real "Duh!" moment watching deployment : I had never realised that you can deploy squadrons before ships with Hyperspace Rings! Thanks for that, gives me some ideas to try out!
Gar ywings are pretty much my favorite gar fighters. Hyperspace rings was my experiment for this fleet. It is kinda cool to not have a single ship down till after the other player has put out their whole fleet. Hopefully it is fun if u give it a try. -John
You can snipe out of engagement as long as the squad that you are engaged with does not have escort. If you are engaged with a squad with escort you can still snipe out at a squad that also has escort. Page 34 bottom left corner of the rules reference covers this. -John
I was trying an idea of keeping all the ships closer in points. In retrospect the CR90 would have been better - just not “thematic.” Thus my biggest downfall whilst list building. - Ken
@@IONRadio Mine as well, I recently built a Thrawn-inspired fleet and swapped Howlrunner for a Defender which was objectively a worse play considering my other 3 squadrons were Interceptors haha
@@Ayaksblack Oh! That's a complicated interaction. So it's like this then? 1. Activate unit 2. Give it Snipe X 3. FC increases the Snipe X anti-squadron armament
Clenched right to the end!
Great batrep, THANKS!
This was definitely one of the better ones. Glad you enjoyed it, Scott!

Great video!
Thanks, Jacob!
One of the best battles, thanks
Thanks, coolcatkid20 Frisk. What was the best part of this one?
The last snipe attack you made on Dutch to finish it off was engaged to Lando. Fun game right to the end.

Ven I with XI7 + two Medical Pelta commanding 8 squadrons with AFFM and FCT.
Yes, that might not be optimal. 😀
Ken is braver than me, putting his admiral in a Nebulon.

Winner gets a bottle of glue!
We definitely need more glue for some of our squadrons…

33:04 clam is rolling criminally high. Both because of high variance and because of cheating 1 extra black
This is more likely an honest mistake than cheating. Neither one of us caught this while filming (nor during post).
@@IONRadio that's a lie! We all know that John can't win without cheating and Ken's skills are vastly superior. Go team Ken!
Doesn't Ahsoka limit your Snipe pool to 3 dice because she caps out at Snipe 3?
FC can apply after that, as they share the timing window in which case the active player is free to choose which one is applied first
@@Ayaksblack Oh! That's a complicated interaction. So it's like this then?
1. Activate unit
2. Give it Snipe X
3. FC increases the Snipe X anti-squadron armament
@@thecalicokid that's right. That way 4 dice fighters will still fling 4 snipe, the same as 3 dice fighters. Take note that snipe is always blues
The answers here are correct. You get to pick the order so u use ahsoka 1st and then u can increase it with flight controllers. -John
