I love Brietling Avenger and Colt. They truly do give Omega and Rolex a run for the money. Its just as beautiful and masculine, very finely executed , mechanically equally tough and truly functional pieces. Marketing just isn't on par with the big two - but its a masterpiece and a true high end tool in its own right- just as are Omega and Rolex. Great watch. 👍
This is a perfect example why you're my favorite watch personality on RUclips. I was waiting impatiently for a complete video of this watch and you're the first to come out with one. It's a beautiful watch, the only thing I would have changed is maybe make it 1 mm smaller, it really depends on how it will fit on wrists. Looking forward to the comparison with the Seamaster.
I tried the blue version on today but on a strap and I also love it that bruce has made this video!😁 Btw my wrist is not the biggest but this breitling fits very good on smaller wrists as well. Maybe because of the strap. The steal bracelet could come a little bit more bulky...
Breitling is a most have watch brand, within any collection. I often wear my avenger2 seawolf, its 240grams of pure Steel with a beater ETA inside, whats not to like. Solid and easy to service, and its like the toiletpaper in School from the Old Days...IT takes No shit😎. Find your model, you cant go wrong with a Breitling on your wrist. Great review Bruce💪
That’s beautiful, and breitling helped themselves by the brushing on that bracelet opposed to all polished. Sitting there like a boss between the Rolex and the Omega.
That is definitely the old style Breitling and I like it. My old Breitling is completely brushed and I like how Breitling have given this watch a modern look. The price isn’t too bad either.
Had mine nearly a year now, very pleased with it. I love the slanted links in the bracelet and I agree that it looks better with it part brushed. The video shows the old style box, mine came with the new 'eco friendly' one which isn't as nice.
And notice how the case back is almost aligned. I think Breitling have always made a concerted effort to do this, as I've seen so many like this, including all 3 B's I've owned. Most aren't gonna care, but for us WIS, it's a nice feature.
they have done a really great job with this brand now. Even got a hater like myself to get the new superocean on rubber with deployant. I think their clasps are the best
I have both, Avenger in Blue and Colt. The Colt was supposed to be sent with a silver dial and it arrived on a cream dial. It looked so good I kept it. I just can’t wear them with a bracelet, I am not careful enough. I change the Avenger to a blue rubber original strap (the one with the holes) and the Colt to a brown leather bracelet from a vendor in Kiev on ETSY. I wanted the Colt for casual elegant and the Avenger for more casual attire. They both are great quality. They look fabulous!!!

Great review, as usual. Funny thing, when you do the comparison shot with the Omega and Rolex. The Omega and Rolex almost look dated in comparison, even though the Breitling has the stainless steel bezel and rider tabs. I love that. And even though Avenger doesn't appear to bill itself as a diver watch, it still has that 300m water resistance. Even on the Avenger chronographs! Love the very large crown as well. That is one area where the Omega falls short IMO, is on crown size. I have rather large fingers, and just don't find the Seamaster crown easy to grasp. Of course, bang for buck and, IMO coolness factor, Breitling has it over the other two! And neither the Rolex nor Omega offer the secured bezel which, even though I don't dive, I find a big deal. My Breitling AD, who also has a huge service center for locally servicing Omega and Rolex, tells me about the large number of dive watches that they service because the bezel has come loose.
Nice intro. Like the upbeat music and quick unboxing. Not sure this watch isn’t talked about more for a first time luxury watch. Looks great and good price point with discounts.
You read my mind on what I’d like to see reviewed. Looks great, and a step up from the already excellent Colt. Nice work, looking forward to the full review, but I think this will be top of my wish list. Keep up the good work!
I have a 8900 PO and my steel bezel avenger is a perfect brother for it. It’s in a tough price bracket as it’s priced the same as a BB58 but fortunately for us, no one pays MSRP for a non LE breitling lol. My only wish was that they put the Tudor movement in it like the SOHII!
Breitling dimensions sound huge, but they wear smaller on the wrist. I don't wear anything above 42 mm in general, but I tried the Avenger automatic 43 and it wears smaller than 42 to be honest.

In 2007 or 2008 I bought another one , and again I loved the new design , but it was too heavy and blingy /shiny. When I went to sell it I got a third of what I paid for it. Breitling loses a lot of value on the second hand market. The only one I would consider now is the Breitling SuperOcean Heritage in 42 mm in black. On Jomashop it’s $3150 so that’s not bad. I like the dial on this one but 43 mm is too big, and due to the size it will be too heavy. I also don’t like the polished , shiny centre links they will end up getting scratched up much faster and it a bit misplaced on a tool watch I think. This should be 41 mm not 43 mm. How can breitlings dial looks much cleaner than the submariner that cost 3 times. Everytime i look at the sub it often shows reflection, not with the breitling
The Breitling has a double domed crystal with antri reflective treatment on both sides that makes it look almost as if there is no crystal in most angles and so you can see the beauty of the dial. The Rolex has a flat crystal with no anti reflective treatment that makes it extremely reflective and unclear. The downside of having a Breitling crystal is that the exterior AR coating can sctrach up if you don't take care of it and can look bad. But overall- Nothing compares to the clarity of a Breitling dial.
Just no. This has nothing on the old GMT, IMHO (Admitting that I would not wear a watch with a metal bezel on a bracelet anyway. So the “not shiny” argument falls flat). And if they “updated” the clasp, why not finally add trigger release? Just a detail, but packaging seems cheaper, too.
I like this watch, but the bezel movement stopped me from buying it... was horrible. The clasp also sucked. Breitling needs a clasp like a glide lock or the one used on new Omegas.
Have to say that when I see this Breitling right next to the Omega, I think the Breitling looks way better.
I have to agree! And to me, even better looking than the Roly also
of course..
