You mean the comparison with HD....it might work when you leave home but you will never know when to arrive at your destination due to unavoidable malfunction.....😂😂😂
Good to see you are happy with the Avenger, mine is the one watch I do wear the most, the just nailed it with that line. Prefer yours on the breitling strap but also the MN Strap suits it. Have a happy new year Bro
Breitling offer tremendous history and quality for price. They always wear smaller and feel great on the wrist…6.5 wrist. As a treat, take a look on the outside of bezel between 11 and 12 and you will find a little B.
I received this watch brand new from my wife on father day 2020 with the steel bracelet. I now have it on a quality leather strap during the winter months and I love it even more. It’s nice to have the option to thrown on the bracelet whenever I’d take it swimming or in the summer when a steel bracelet seems like the perfect fit. Great review!
Ive got the same watch too, can you let me know what tool you used to change the bracelet over to a strap please, Breitling tell me, i need to visit one of their boutiques.
When I tried on an Avenger 43 for the first time a couple of months ago I was amazed at how well it fit my 7" wrist. Ended up buying an Avenger II GMT with a creamy silver dial about a week ago... and I freaking love it!
I had almost made up my mind to buy the Endurance Pro but than I saw this one and I wonder if it is worth the extra money. It’ll be my first and ever luxury sports watch and probably the only one for the next ten years. Which one would you recommend?
@@HiltonFen The Avenger is definitely the more clean and classy choice with the more restrained dial and steel case. The Endurance Pro has a lot more going on with the dial, and the angular carbon case will wear larger, so I personally would recommend the Avenger if you want more luxurious looks and versatility in terms of what situations it would be appropriate for.
@@glassisking Fair enough! Luxurious looks and versatility that’s what I want and is important for me if I’m spending that much money on a watch 🙂 Thanks a lot!
I had the Avenger GMT II and it was amazing. Basically the same case. I loved the quality of it 👌 Now I replaced it with a Superocean 42, also a great watch, in my opinion
I was looking to purchase a Rolex last year but was have great difficulty finding the one I wanted, the AD I had visited suggested breitling as an alternative I ended up buying a super ocean 42 and have to say I am absolutely loving the watch for me breitling is worth a look.
Great review Oleg! Between the Avenger and the Colt, Breitling definitely offers some great quality for a price that won't destroy your wallet. Would love to add one of those to my collection
Hello from Chicago! I’ve unfortunately seen very few Breitling’s in the wild. They have amazing history and I love the way the Navitimer looks just think it would be to big for me. Great video!!
Great review! Thank you. Avenger is little big for me, that’s why I bought Colt 41mm with same movement. That’s my favourite and most wearing watch at the moment.
I was picking between that Breitling model and the Colt 41mm with the cream/silver dial. Since they stopped production of the Colt, I guess I'll just go with the Avenger 43.
This is so true, i have a 6.4” wrist and this 43 feels so good and to put it word of word “hugs your wrist in all the right places”. More comfy than SMP 300. However, i still didnt pull the trigger because it may be a bit too blingy for me
Great video and great looking watch. Hoping to pick one up in the next few weeks. Agree with the comment about it looking better on the leather strap compared to the bracelet. Looks awesome in blue.
hello OB. Great watch and Great review to start off 2022!!!! Yes, This Breitling is bit more subdued and softer look than most of other Breitling. And I think that this is one of the best other Breitling, as you have mentioned. Great looking, classic, simple and very versatile watch that you can wear just about anywhere and everywhere. By the way, Bond okay? Normally you start your youtube with Bond in front of your face, but I guess that either you have changed your format or Bond is on Vacation in Las Vegas???!!! ha ha ha. Anyway, Happy New Year, Oleg and hope to see you more often in 2022.
Great review. This is a special watch in my opinion too. Great looking, classic, perfect over-size case (but not too large) and looks amazing on the wrist.
Hey Oleg. I really love that finally a good rewiev of this watch. I have been looking for it. Iam torned between the Avenger with black dial and the Oris Aquis in black and blue. If they where prized at the same what watch would you choose between.
My 2007 cockpit 41 wind rider EDT big date in mother of pearl with diamond hour markers on the indices hasn't been serviced in its life still works like a dream to this very day ;) I still think it's the best looking watch I have ever saw in the flesh! Even the pilot bracelet hasn't stretched or worn without ever being polished.
Black rubber is more modern but the leather always give dressed up or vintage vibe. If it was me I would go for the rubber strap. It would lean heavy toward a cleaner, refined submariner look. Either way you can’t go wrong 😊
You know what is missing from Breitling in 2022? Standard 5 years warranty. 72h power reserve. Because this has an ETA even Longines is a competitor to this watch and even them offer 5y warranty, 72h power reserve and chronometer certification.
I agree with your opinion. I buy the gmt 43 with white dial on leather/ canvas strap and a rubber too. It’s such a great watch. Normally I buy on bracelet but at this fall it would be to massive and heavy for me and with the polish center links maybe to blingi.
It’s a good watch and a little big, but the more you wear it, the faster you get used to it, on my wrist the 6.69 seems to look fine, I think that the original black bracelet makes it look bigger for some reason. looks better on rubber and smaller on the hand
Absolutely love this under rated avenger as well as my blue super ocean 42!! It has become my new travel watch because of how much it can take a beating. I already put it through several tests. Have taken it shooting, go karting, free diving, roller coasters, hiking, wake boarding, and I even shot a . 50 cal with it multiple times!! It also has the modified eta 2824 by Breitling and I will tell you that the way Breitling modifies it is on another level. I truly believe it's superior than Oris' caliber 400 in house movement. Out of everyone I've talked to running this movement, it's keeping time better than a superlative chronometer. Mine is running only 1 second fast a day. Everyone else I've talked to they're either 1 second slow/fast or +2 /-2 straight from the factory (no regulation other than what Breitling does). Also 500 meters so u know it's a tank! Also love seeing Oleg at the end!! 😍
I just bought one of these and good lord, what a watch. Compared to my Rolex Sub, this may be my new daily driver. So freaking happy with this purchase
Aside from brietling brand, i didnt find something special from this watch…yeah its beautiful and classic but at this price point i think baume mercier with inhouse baumatic is better?
have just ordered a breitling avenger gmt 45 red arrows edition i think its 2020-21 this is my first ever watch and cant find any reviews on youtube does anyone know if it is any good or should i have saved up for a base rolex
That's weird you didn't like the bracelet. Almost bought one of these and the bracelet was one of the selling features for me! I still look at this but I think the last generation Breitling spoke to me more. I just started looking at them a little late.
Ich hab mir grad eine 2022er Aveger 43 MM gegönnt. Alleine schon am spezifischen Kautschukband erreicht man mit der Uhr auch für Außenstehende eine Optik die niemals Rolexlastig wirkt.
Very pretty watch. One thing that's turned me off of Breitling is something I was told by the instructor of an AWCI class I was taking. He said that Breitling movement "service" is the same as Seiko's. They throw your movement in the trash and put in a new one. While that may be cost effective, it really kills the brand for me. One of the most interesting things about a watch is the accumulated experiences you've had with it. Tossing the movement on every service gets into a ship of Theseus sort of a situation. Is it even the same watch after a service?
I do not know if Rolex is still doing this now but in the past when servicing the watch they replaced aged hands, indices and even the dial so people got a so to speek new watch back what for a lot people might be nice and welcome but the patina or the look of the watch just changed.
@@Taragaca I imagine there have been many customers that have had the market value of a valuable vintage piece cut in half or worse with this practice. Do they return the replaced parts to the customer?
@@dommerdom You're so right! I don't know if they returned them. I had an Explorer I at that time and this was the reason not to let it be servicec by Rolex.
