I just found you and you are awesome. Most sites or books I try to learn from don't go into so much detail. I really like how you break stuff down so it is easier to understand. Like how you broke down "Konnichiwa". I was always curious about that, and now I know. :) I took an etymology class in high school, which is learning how to break down the word while learning its roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Well actually, living there would be by far the best way to learn. Try something like teaching English in Japan. You don't need to speak any Japanese but you do (almost always) need a degree. I don't think the subject matters, though I guess English or something related would be best. You can learn Japanese there while also having a job that actually wants you to speak English, so you get the best of both worlds.
Luke Carroll Thanks for your advice. There is only one problem: my age. I am only 16 years old so I don't really get a chance to go there yet. I can at least try a german-japanese related job here after finishing school, but it takes at least 5 more years until I can travel to japan. :/
Well that's okay. Just get a degree and you'll be in a position to teach in Japan. If you don't want to do it in the end, you'll still have a degree for any other job. A win win situation.
Good to see so many helpful and kind comments. Spykeluc you could also study abroad as a student in whatever subject you may choose.
