I made the right choice when I decided to learn Japanese off of RUclips. 9 months ago I didn't know anything about Japanese, and now after watching a lot of Misa's videos I am 2/5 of the way through JLPT n4. I can watch my favorite anime and have a general idea of what is going on without any subtitles. Thank you so much!

Quick review: Taksuan is an adverb that should be used primarily after the particle and before the verb, tatoeba: ~ wo takusan nomimashit. Takusan is prescribed to use with with objects and things. When talking about people use Oi rather: Hito ga oi! Meaning there are a lot of people with a slight nuanced connotation of people more people than a setting can accommodate. Note also when using oi for objects it may have an implied meaning of comparison: "kono machi wa otera ga oi" can suggest subtle shading of say the city has more temples than shrines. Finally, Oozei can be used in lieu of oi when refering to a large group of people: "koko ni wa utsukushii josei ga oozei" And a useful phrase at the end: "Mou taksuan" means enough is enough; I had enough. Minasan, isshoukenmei ganbarimasu!

For my ears the use of "in the middle" (as in, before the verb; I seem to have realized that now, with this video presenting that fact for me) just sounded like the most natural place ever. Typicly/often, I believe it is also stressed, isn't it? I can imagine an anime character using with this certain kind of way to say it. Might just be my imagination tough...

I learned a few things about it from talking to a Japanese woman online for a while although I'm a guy: • They use acronyms from English like PMS and PMDD too • 「生理」 [せいり] is used for menstruation or menstruation period, even though technically it literally means "physiology", which is kinda funny to think about but yeah • If you're on your period, you say 「生理中」 which translates directly to "currently physiology" or more naturally "currently on my period" (and you can use 中 on many things like 「PMDD中」) • If you don't wanna use PMS (which can generally be used interchangeably), you can use 「生理前」 to talk about the premenstrual period • You can use 「重い」 to describe a heavy [PMS, possibly menstruation as well] • When you "got on your period", it's 「生理になった」, you can also say it started by saying 「生理が始まった」, and you can even say 生理が来た to say the period has come • I don't know if it's unique to my friend, but she calls a pad 「生理ナプキン」 or "period napkin" • 食欲不振になる[しょくよくふしんになる] - become anorexic, which I add because that's a symptom she has from her period so it might be useful if its a symptom for anyone else • 「生理痛」 is menstrual cramps, so to say you have menstrual cramps is 「生理痛はある」 I'll add more stuff if I find anything more useful, but hope this helps anyone needing to know :) and I'm aware Misa can definitely do a better video as a woman so hopefully she will make that for you all if there isn't a good one out there already
Because Nihon is the subject here. As for Japan, there are many shrines. You can also say Nihon ni wa - as for in Japan? It's a common construction for sentences like there is x in y. 部屋にはぬいぐるみがあります。私は猫がいます。レストランではタバコを吸わないでください は in these sentences marks what place, who I'm talking about. 日本は神社がたくさんあります here im talking about the state of japan (subject). Speaking of Japan, there are many shrines in it. Like, Japan is the main focus and then you add other things that you notice/think about it. Hope you understand

I like anime but I'm not a gamer and I don't know anything about online games. Even so, I went to see this "twitch". For me, who doesn't play games, I have to admit it's a bit tedious. I'd like to know if you have any videos with Japanese tips and mini-lessons on that twitch channel. Is there any way to search for those specific videos without having to watch entire afternoons and evenings of games? Don't get me wrong. It is not wrong, it is another way of saying a camera is used often. It is a negligible aspect of the useful video to quibble over, especially when her English is correct.
So... Could one say "Nihon ni wa" plaplaplaa... ? I am doing some duolingo rigth now and it gave me a sentence "there are many department stores in Shibuya." Duo usually includes both partiles ni and wa, and this seems to be "the correct answer" in duo. I guess it's not nesessary, but I was just wondering about it. also, quite the coinsidence 😄
