    15 minute lesson, no big deal, right? LOL! They are all packed with information and I need to keep pausing to write things down that it takes four times that long or more to get through it. Misa-sensei, you are easily the best Japanese teacher on YT! I have gotten here step by step from the first beginner lesson and I am eager to keep going.

    it's funny because we have Moo as the cow noise but for some reason they say Mew ^_^ it's like our alphabet system is crazy here, as i've started to learn other languages a little bit, thats when i noticed about the fact that the UK has two ways of saying the Alphabet. At primary School they teach you the proper way, like similar to how the french say some of the letters and even how japan say it, and that's also how we pronounce the words too but for some reason when you get to high school or whenever it is, they teach you to prounounce the alphabet differently.
    So A used to be like Ah but then they give you a different way and you have to then say EY for A. They should do it the way other countries do it.

    Hi Misa, thank you for this video, but one thing confuses me. At 11'20'' you say 'sorry I'm late' but you use the past tense for late (okuremashita) - surely this should be the present tense (okuremasu), as you are saying 'sorry I AM late'. Can you please clarify this? Thanks!

    • @JapaneseAmmowithMisa
      @JapaneseAmmowithMisa  8 лет назад +3

      Hi! "okureru" is more like "to arrive late / come late" so maybe I should have said "Sorry I came late!". ^^

    • @nickinlondon4644
      @nickinlondon4644 8 лет назад

      Oh right, I get it - the English would be 'Sorry I've arrived late'. So the Japanese past tense is also used where we would use the present perfect - that's really interesting, and useful to know. Thank you for clearing that up.
      You are so kind and helpful - and late on Sunday night too! You should be relaxing with a glass of wine (or sake), not working at this time! Thanks again.
