Yeah it's one of the chunkier demos I've played. I think a good sign is that I'm actually totally ok with playing the entire demo section over when the game comes out, I almost wanted to replay it while I was editing this video even. Bodes well for the final release
So glad they released a demo months prior the release because there are indeed many issues with the combat system. However, I am glad that the team has listen to the fans and will eventually fix all the issues ( in hope ). I replayed the demo 2 times and I am deeply in love with this game. As an Italian I am truly happy that Pinocchio gets his own game under the light of a Soulsborne like game and I am truly hyped for September ( in hope that they won't move the release foward ).
Nice video. Lies of P seems like it has a ton of potential. One thing from your positive section struck me as a possible negative though, and that's the recovery of a health vial through combat. I think that might diminish the escalating tension of exploration that's honestly one of my favourite things about most Souls-like games. It's good that it's only one health vial, but it just means that if you're good at combat (or able to be excessively careful and aggro one enemy at a time), you could theoretically explore perpetually without the tension of running out of healing. I haven't played the game though, so it might not be the detriment I'm imagining, but it has me a little concerned.
A fair point to bring up, although to me I never felt like any of the sections were a cakewalk even with the recovering health flask system. Elden Ring actually had a similar system where in the open world you could recover flasks by defeating camps of enemies, and they did it so that you were incentivized to interact with the open world without always needing to run back to a bonfire because of your limited heals. Any tension lost here is replaced be the tension of recovering that last bit of the health flask before you take another hit and die. Plus, anything is better than Bloodbornes vial system
Im glad that this demo exists and I really hope future devs release more demos. Personally after playing it I realized that this game just isnt for me 😅
Honestly fair enough, that's the beauty of a demo I guess. I do feel like demos are starting to become a bit more normalized nowadays (Game Pass and PS Plus also have a lot of game trials) which is nice to see
@@335449286 that was meant to be the next video but I've been SO busy that I've legit only played 1 demo. Kind of a bummer actually. But I'll probably do a video for the next one when it swings by

Idk, man, I played the demo myself, and it just feels like a soul game🤷🏾♂️ idk maybe I'm tired of these types of games. lol sorry guys guess I'm not a True from Software player 😅 (lol I be kinda good at these games but I just don't care sometimes) I honestly had more fun playing darksiders 3 I know I'm weird. The graphics are beautiful tho, also I liked the having to sharpen the sword during combat that was pretty cool i guess 👍video still!
Yeah doesn't have to be for everyone. It doesn't do anything super new (besides some nice smaller ideas and quality of life stuff) but it's just a very polished version of something I already know I like. Darksiders 3 ain't bad also, I'm not the biggest fan of hack and slash but I played that one front to back. Overhated imo
Doubt this game is gonna be as good as BB, I've seen some gameplay from a RUclipsr/Reviewer i like here and when i pointed out my nitpicks he basically responded with: "Yeah this game's kinda clunky" So i won't be trying it, if quick stepping is mid, I'm out. If there's no trick weapons, I'm flabbergasted. If you can't parry >with a gun< I'll go play Sekiro (which i haven't played yet but i will someday)
@@SbgTK Nah, I'll get a PS5 for payday 3 and Spider-Man 2 instead. Sekiro can wait, already has waited a lot because of Bloodborne and just because i think Bloodborne is a lot better, I don't have a craving to try Sekiro yet. Eventually though, i want to git gud at it's perfect combat system
i mean... it is just a bloodborne ripoff if we're going to be honest here lmao. And that's fine considering Bloodborne isn't on PC anyways but to say it's not just a ripoff just like Lords of the Fallen is kinda cringe. Let's hope it's an "ok" ripoff and not the aliexpress version at the very least.
Finally a game where I can play as Timothée Chalamet
Ain't no reason they had to make Pinocchio look that sexy

Another great video. I can’t get over how incredible all the enemy animations look; they’re all stunning - can’t wait to play on release
This game is insanely polished on basically all fronts, I feel like this is gonna be one of the best games of the year purely on a technical level
The demo of the game was incredible & with how long it was, it seems the devs are really confident. Hope it works out well for them.

Bloodborne is one of my favorite games and the only game I've ever platinumed. I can't wait for this to come out.
This game is more fun than bloodborne. 😮😮😮
I definitely dont agree with that.
As an Italian, I give my approval in the form of: bippity bappity boopy!
great review! this is a high-quality video, looking forward to more of your game critiques

Me personally, I don’t need the game, I get the same experience just walking around in Britain
😂😂😂😂
Real quick I'd kill to know what music was in the background of this video wtf that shit went fucking hard
Everything is from the the Lies of P OST (besides the music that plays on the little title screens)
i feel like character creation should be more of a souls like pillar
After the last boss in the demo you get an eletric arm
Good to know. The electric arm definitely seems like it'll be a fun one to use

We could say bloodborne is a copy of nightmare creatures to some extent
