@@lemex27gamesnshit It's still "Gently" Just an updated version as the one Slipknot play now was re-recorded for the Iowa album with Corey. Gently was also the very first Slipknot (at the time called The Pale Ones) song written and played together in full.
Corey really does have a phenomenal vocal range and overall flexibility with his voice, but I think I know of a vocalist who can compete with Corey for their range, of which is Samy Elbanna, lead vocalist and guitarist for the band Lost Society
I don't know, I took a look on Google, and the circumference of his neck looks normal for a dude his size. I'll have to try listening to their music, next.

2:30 Wow I didn't know that he could do the David Lee Roth scream! There's so few people that can do it. One that really got it is Michael Starr from Steel Panther.
I don’t think any of these were his top vocal lines lol. Maybe some of his 94 high notes or the chorus on me inside, or just his switch from screaming to clean vocals live is always insane cause that’s extremely difficult to do without some sort of rasp
I gotta agree with you. The fist one was just a regular falsetto note that most singers could hit. John Fogerty (the original singer of that song) doesn't use falsetto on that note and it sounds way better and is a lot more impressive. The second one was just decent screaming but that's par for the course for Corey and doesn't really have anything to do with his vocal range, imo. I don't even know what the third one was, a 3 second scream from Iowa in 2015? That's just random really. The 0 spot was impressive though.
The C2 note at 0:17 is misleading. It's Gently by Slipknot, but not THE Slipknot. It's 1996 demo "Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat." recorded and released BEFORE Corey was even in the band and sung by Anders Colsefni. I don't know how you managed to listen to that song and think that it's Corey singing it, but could you please make a comment about it for people to see? Not everyone will be able to read my comment.
Huge CMFT fan. Corey taylor is the standard that I followed years ago. It hurt, I sounded like shit, it was embarrassing. But I eventually got it and can sing to almost ANY song and people will think I grew up in a church until the electric guitar hits. My voice no longer hurts because of Corey Taylor, long live the GOAT
corey taylor, mike patton, and maynard james keenan have voices that are so insane they are the only vocalists that can alter my mood... and touch my soul... maynard can put me in a trance
I'm sure the vocal lessons helped, but I believe it's just raw talent that the man was born with. There's some things you just can't teach, and Corey was a great singer before he ever took any lessons. When the first Slipknot record was recorded, Corey hadn't had any lessons.
Hehe there's better of him Hey there's a vocalist that is dying of throat cancer.... Christopher Hall.. his screams are at a 160% which is more than how even Chester Bennington pushes himself. Could you cover some of his live screams of "How can I hold on" and "Lies"
Hey I love your videos because you bring my favourite vocals, and eveyone else's favourite, and you talk about them very interestingly, but if im allowed to express my opinion then I think maybe the clickbait vibes in "you cant sing this" titles you put on all your videos is a bit played out, now I'm no expert or anything about anything but I think it can be a nice change to your channel... Keep up the good work, so fun watching your vids
This video is just full of false info. First the c2 note is not corey its Anderson from MFKR and the song that was so brutal was the song iowa and it was 10 min long not 20 and he didnt damage his voice he just for got how to scream properly and learned how to again in 2016. Get your facts right if your gunna make a video about a legend of a band and a singer/screamer
You should look up Corey before he joined Slipknot, his voice was so high he even hated it. After all of the booze and poor vocal screams it deepened his voice down. I Can't Believe was an old song from 1994, 3 years before he joined Slipknot and the vocals on that song are insanely high.
Corey was recently awarded a Guinness World record for the male singer having the widest singing range, of course they used his early stone sour albums and compare that to later slipknot growls. Regardless he is a phenomenal singer. I have a bunch of his acapella singing from my shitty handheld recorder from 1999/2000
