the only annoying thing about the pics is when u already got the order in the bag and u in the car then u go to hit confirm and BAM, gotta take it all out and take the pic 🤣🤣not a big deal just kinda inconvenient.
More pics are all great and stuff until you deliver to an area with horrible cellphone service and you get screwed lol. I end up driving away and taking a picture of my doordash bag
I got a contract violation yesterday because it was stupid far and hit some delays. Stupid stuff. Orders over 10 miles need to have enough time for traffic.
I'm totally on board with your idea of the QR code Great Idea. To me the most aggravating thing about taking a pic of the receipt is that its not consistent. Many times I already have the food in my hot bag zipped up and I have to unzip and position the receipt.
I haven't been able to deliver in quiet a while. Somehow, this video gave me a peaceful, relaxing feeling. Edit: The pickup delivery parts. Thank you for the video :)
I had to take a receipt picture for the first time the other day. I thought it was going to be at one of the national chain restaurants but instead it was at a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant downtown.
I’m seeing this on Charleston too. This is what I do …. Take a picture of my shoes . They don’t pay me enough to do this bullshit

I also had to make sure I didn’t drop off the wrong bag at the wrong address with a double order. Very stupid, if you can read you can do this, but DoorDash acts like toddlers are driving around doing this

Scanning the bar code does make sense. I love delivering for Dicks
The more DD makes the wrong changes and add features that makes it harder to earn a decent amount without having to be at certain level, the more I’m thankful for the season God allowed me to Dash when I did! The last time I dashed was at the beginning of August.

It is to prove you actually picked it up, I think. I had to do that at Chipotle today. And half the time, they give you just a bag, no receipt whatsoever.

Soon we're going to have to record our entire delivery and then submit it to doordash after it is dropped off. These shady and moron dashers are screwing it up for all of us that dash the correct way!! 🤬
They've been randomly asking me to take pictures off and on for at least six months. While it happens in bunches, there's no rhyme or reason to when it'll happen. It's a pain in the butt.
You're lucky that you can walk up to the counter at your Black Rock. There are a bunch of them in my area, and all but two are drive-up only, and waiting in the drive thru line is even worse than waiting for them to make it.
Monday was the first day I had to take a photo of the receipt on DD. Mine was Rasing Cane's, and it was a double order as well
Scanning a code or taking a photo is still one extra step that should be only needed if doordash suspects that your doing something wrong with your deliveries. Like a probation period.

they want us to be photographers now. Unfortunately this has been a thing in my market since I started DoorDash a year ago..
While it's annoying I do agree a barcode or qr code would be helpful I have had other dashers in my market grab the wrong order (the store thinks it was a non native English speaker or just not a English speaker at all but that's besides the point) if there was a barcode or qr code generated for that specific order on the receipt it would protect against wrong order grabs and mistakes
The receipt pictures are pretty common now in my area I'm surprised when I don't have to take a pic....it's the speedometer on the app that I find annoying
I hate the speed notice. My area has many sections of road that are not up to date with the GPS. Tells me I am speeding 10 over all the time in a 55 zone it thinks is 45. It also thinks a residential area is 55 mph when it is only 30. If stuff like that is compiled and used to deactivate drivers I will EXPLODE!
It’s only for customers that complain a lot. It’s not every order if you notice it’s just random customers. The ones that complained.

I just had the "take a pic of the receipt" happen this weekend. Definitely not a fan, and I don't really see the purpose behind it. It's just another hoop to jump through.

Remember when McDonald's had you input the last 4 numbers from the receipt? I always forgot and had to get out of my car, open hatch and bag to get the number. It wasvpain, literally, because my tailbone was/is fractured. A few times i remembered or took a pic prior. I wish people were honest
They still do make you put in order number (last three digits)
Just for alcohol orders you press the button 5 or 6 times before you take a picture of the ID.
we are taking pictures of the reciepts so we don't get the wrong order received contract violation which I have had about 5 times awhile back and since this started I haven't gotton one in a awhile and its only for newer customers, the regular customers we don't have too
What the hell does "protect your rating" mean? Does this mean that the customer cannot rate you? because I think thats the only way to truly "protect your rating".
To me it seems they're calling us thieves

qr code works way better...walmart spark does it that way
NO NO NO QR scan. What happens when it is damaged or won't scan? Without a skip option you can't take the food and deliver it and Confirm it to get paid. A skip option then defeats the entire purpose. This happened to me when scanning a bag of candy on a shop order. It was the correct bag but the scan would say incorrect item every single time and not allow me to mark scanned. It would not even let me do it as a substitute. Everything was identical between the bag of candy I had and the bag of candy on the shop list. However, after scanning the bar code the wording was different between the bag of candy I was holding and the acceptable item. I am thinking there was a design change regarding the wording on the bag and the bar code on my bag of candy was coming up different than what was loaded into the DD scanning system.
I wouldn't mind having the scan a QR code or a barcode but what if for some reason it won't scan then what do you do call support I guess and deal with all that crap no matter what they do there's always going to be some problem to make it difficult
Hi buddy, like ur vids. Go got a question, this happened to me today. I'm platinum, bfd. I get an order at 1:07 that says needs to be delivered by 12:55. Yes, 12:55 so I didn't take it. Just for kicks I called support. They said "of course it goes against ur AR. I said so my choice was to take a hit on AR or late delivery"? They said YA... U gotta love jt
Support is almost always no help, so don't bother unless it is super important. Had to of been an order everyone was declining or a case where it was already picked up by customer and drivers were un assigning without calling support to get their half pay and get it cleared from the system. I don't trust that orders that get un assigned always get a new pickup and deliver time. I got $7 half pay yesterday on an order that a customer picked up and the first Dasher to get it just un assigned and left without getting half pay or having it cleared from the system.
Lol does anybody ever ask you why you are talking to yourself/phone??
