Yeah but it held up. Motors can run 200 degrees but they lose efficiency at that temperature. Starts to hurt the magnets inside. So I discontinued use for that day. Lastest long enough!

The stock Dboots Copperhead rims are too unstable with the Big 1/5th scale electronics in mine , they turn into pizza cutters half throttle. The PL badlands Wheels are heavy, but worth the trade with heavier rubber Compound there's less ballooning for bashing

I bought the XLX to 800 KV combo for my Kraton 8S. Did I fuck up should I have gotten the 1100 I don’t want my truck to top out at 55 after having just dropped another $465 plus an upgraded servo just so that I could do a couple miles an hour faster than the whack a spectrum motor that was already in it. No I took that 8S spectrum motor and 160 amp ESC and I put it in my in fraction GT it runs great armor should’ve put the ETA system in the in fraction to begin with however Kraton was under powered always with that motor so I purchased this new combo and it’s been on my workbench I haven’t even open the boxes. I’m feeling like after watching a couple videos of people only reaching 55 and 60 miles an hour with the axle Alex to 800 KV combo it has me worried but then I see you running the 1100 KV and it is ripping
Your more than fine! I actually prefer the 800 over 1100lv in my K8s. Just gear it up a little higher to compensate the speed loss. The 800 can take a lot more gear!

Thanks, I didn't exactly intend to run this setup for off-road but I wanted to see what temperatures would be like at the end of a session. I also need a better place to run on grass. Way too tall, inconsistent, and wet over here.

No sir I haven't had any issues. It's a strange thing going on with them. I bought my second xlx2 from my hobby shop. On the same shelf as 10 of them were there. One if my buddies had one go in smoke. But mine never choked. Ran it in the Kraton over 100 Mph 3 times and no issue

Looks like he’s got the stock 47T spur and a 40T pinion…On the outcast you can run 1:1 gearing and not worry about a thing, I hear.. It’s lighter 1/8 not 1/5 and it’s a shorter wheelbase.
I am getting that system and have a kraton 8s I am running 1to1 gearing 39 / 39 mmx8s 800kv combo. So I feel that if you don't want to admit what gearing you are running don't mention the gearing at all. You make great vids and I watch them all the time but I am disappointed you did not add the gearing that you are using
No you are wrong if you understand wiring. The esc is capable of only 8s. If I ran 16 it wouldn't arm or blow up. Two sets of Parallel 4s doubles mah, combined in series one time. Double voltage once. Thus 8s 12,000mah. Just more runtime

I'd say this motor will have more torque than the hobbywing 1100kv. I am running overdrive gears. NOT recommended whatsoever for off-road use

Yes most likely. Short dry grass would be best. Plus they just trimmed the grass so it all got stuck inside the vehicle
