Why do these type of videos not record from inside the vehicle too. I own the car and pay for the exhaust upgrade, I want to know how it will sound like to me when driving it.
I mean they dont have to provide a video at all. And even if they provided in cab sound footage and you bought it then youd probably complain that it doesnt sound the same as a video.
I just got a 2016 Colorado. I love the truck, but I've always owned V8's prior to this. The sound is something I will never get used to. You can't make a 4cyl or V6 sound good. The louder you make them, the worse they sound.
He just said you can’t make a v6 sound good ☠️ you obviously haven’t heard many Japanese and European cars before
I have the 2016 Colorado and an mbrp single exhaust on it and it sounds way better than this one
Just make them "BREATH" so they operate better.

Cut off the exhaust at the cat, install a flow master super 44, add turn down. Sounds much better than anything in this video.

What year of truck is the exhaust on? Years 2017 and newer have the engine from the Cadillac ATS with Variable Valve Timing. There might be noticeable difference in exhaust note.

There is no drone associated with this exhaust system. Zero drone, in any gear, speed or RPM.
I agree with Bikes. That is not the Borla sound I have come to know and love. All drone and no burble.
You are probably right. The Borla Touring that I put in my '14 Challenger R/T drones like a MF'er.
is the same exhaust that one gets if one orders the GM "CAT-BACK PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM" when ordering the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado? I've heard that GM uses Borla for this option, but not sure.
It is not the same exhaust. The Cat-Back systems we manufacture for GM are different from our aftermarket products. The GM system will be a bit quieter.
@@borla is there a benefit to getting the GM version of your exhaust and have them install it when I buy my truck? Or is it better to get an aftermarket exhaust from you guys directly? I guess I'm just curious how big a performance difference there is between the GM version of your exhaust and your exhaust you demonstrate in this video.

I'm really interested in purchasing this for my truck but I can't find the DB rating anywhere I live in California and the new law requires a vehicle that's under a 6000 gvwr to have an exhaust 98db or less and which sucks is my canyons gvwr is 5700

Fairly certain the stock system on my 01 Sonoma 4.3 sounds more aggressive, and my 3.7 5 cylinder Colorado definitely sounds way more aggressive. Not too bad for an off the shelf system though.
The 4.3 and 3.7 have half the horsepower though.

gosh that's a terrible Hp increase percentage wise. like 2% hp gain and nominal sound improvement. Please tell me y'all are designing something that has at least 4% hp gain or better sound
Hello. We try and get as much power we can with our cat-backs from the stock engine. Some vehicles see more gains. Sound is subjective. Check out our other videos if you'd like!

Hi. Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, we only offer the S-Type for the Colorado/Canyon.
You can. Buy the muffler, have a shop do custom piping and welding to fit the muffler in properly. You can make any muffler fit on almost any vehicle with custom piping and welding. It’s pretty cheap and simple and a exhaust shop should be able to install for $100, $200 at most

The 3.6 v6 is far better then the 4.3 vortec.
Not by any means. The 4.3 has a lot more low end torque and is far more proven. The 3.6 is a car motor at best.
They still make them and use them in boats.

All right well they sound shitty on video. Admittedly, I haven't driven one or been around the new ones up close enough yet to know how they sound in person. I'm just saying, comparing between my first gen in person with flows super 44 and these on video with the borla, mine sounds better. Don't get me wrong, I had custom bent 3.5" borla x pipe, borla glass packs and edelbrock headers on my 02 ws6 and they sounded sick as fuck. Just in this application imo flows sound better. On my old f body, the flows sound awful. Just my two cents.
