First of all thanks for your mention and subscribe my channel.your answer is: you can use connect or tesselate options on edit poly modifier or you can use turbo smooth or mesh smooth modifier instructions .if your problem not solved!i prefer to reinstall max again.i thing its a bug in it and maybe it will fix.
