I used to play this deck in paper. You get unbelievably tired of announcing triggers. So. So. Tired. In one turn cycle with the holy trinity in play, you can hit 6-10 triggers. Add an impact tremors or a chamber, and the triggers soar into the 15s-20s. And your head starts to hurt.
I miss it.

I love all three of you, but when I watch LSV and Saffron, I skip through their deck techs because it's 10 minutes of looking at card lists. You are the only MTG content creator I watch all sections of the video for due to your editing and humor packed throughout. You are the absolute best at what you do. Pheasant canery is my favorite mtg RUclipsr
+4 Champion of the Parish, +4 Thalia's Lieutenant, -1 aetherflux reservoir, -2 Impact Tremors, -1 Emeria, the Skyruin, -2 Goblin Rabblemaster, -2 Mentor of the Meek. When I played this deck back in the day, Champion of the Parish was probably the strongest card in the deck and it should definitely be played.

Also, I've always wanted to try White/Black Soul Sisters using Bob and Bitterblossom. Maybe add Lingering Souls and whatever is good in the Orzhov card list.

I also run Suture Priest over Soul's attendant so they lose life when the genesis chamber proc for them.
Since I don't play soul's attendant, I can replace the Eos Rangers by Phuroros, so the kill comes earlier.
25:35 I'm pretty sure the way it works is you have to select always yes THEN select always yield. If you always yield first, it won't give you the chance to click always yes as you have to have priority in order to change your setting. Always yielding makes it so you pass priority automatically and the ability resolves.

A friend of mine has played this deck for a couple of years now with varying levels of success. Some cards that he plays that you didn't have were champion of the parish (norin, the sisters, ranger, and mentor are all human), purphoros, and westvale abbey
Legion Loyalist is great for breaking Myr token board stalls. It’s a decent bit of tech.

Before I stomp on this deck I wanted to say this is well produced content.
Alright. This deck exemplifies everything that isn't, never has, and never will be good in modern.
Slow deck trying to grind out long games with value based on weak synergies. The interactive decks can easily break up your synergies and outvalue you with higher quality cards and the unfair/combo decks literally don't give a single fuck about what you're doing.
I wouldn't touch this deck unless your LGS is extremely casual or you don't care about getting roflstomped every match.
I play a similar version of this deck in non budget. My sideboard needs some work but I absolutely love it, any midrange/grindy matchup usually favors me and with a great draw it races bugles pretty well

Back in the day I had a GBW soul sisters deck with Bobs, Dryad Arbors, Abrupt Decays and Thoughtseizes. It was probably never as good as any similar liliana/thoughtsieze/tarmagoyf deck it was contemporary to, but it was fun.
Hey Vince, you do understand the difference between 2 and 3 card combos right? Like, Vizier and Druid need another card to win. Splinter Twin don't.
There is also the non haste component,.
But Vizier combo seems realli stable, green is having acces to an insane card advantage + mana discaunts instant speed with collected company. I feel that once you have to 2 card combo for the infinite mana its preti much over they have like 19 enablers to procede form this point.

I had a g/w build a few years ago that went 4-1 and did Aetherflux Reservoir several times.

I cut the ghost quarters from mine and replaced impact tremors, aetherflux, and goblin boys for Panharmonicon and Purphorous. It’s fun.

Hello Mister Kenobi, I saw a list a couple of years ago that ran The red god for extra walue off of Norin, and genesis chamber. Just food for thought if you are thinking of maximising damage instead of death starring people with aetherflux. Just a bit of food for thought 😀. I think it was featured on a scg RUclips video at some point. I think it was piloted by Chris Lands something rather. He said he was a level 2 judge and even he was missing triggers!
I play with Purphoros in my build, but he's not currently budget is he? 😂

I don't know much of anything about Modern, but I feel like this deck might have been stronger if it was running 4 Faithless Looting. It looked like you were having issues with consistency and drawing what you need, seeing an extra 2-4 cards in most games would probably have made a lot of your hands better. I know the deck centers around Norin, but I think 2-3 copies is more than enough when you also have Ranger of Eos to help you find it.
That said, this deck did a lot more lifting than I expected it to. It looks fun!

In the 4th round, you could ghost quarter your second ghost quarter to get a plains (or mountain) and kill his devoted druid with your lightning helix. I cried. :'(

@pleasantKenobi in the game against spirits you probably should have been swinging with the rabble master, opponent doesn't have vile and only has supreme phantom up master would be a 3/2 attacking they had multiple turns where he could have got in. The worst case scenario in all of these situations was flashing in rattlechains and trading with master which tbh means it turned into a crappy kill spell and prevents your opponent from having lethal so...

53:03 Wouldn't the correct line be to let them grab the vez then when they move to cast it you path the devoted because statistically there is less chance they draw the "last" devoted druid in the deck. Your line means they need to draw a card they have 4 of still so a 4/44 % instead of a 1/44 %. anyway love your videos !
The game against Vizier Combo is a shining example that WotC doesn’t have a clue what to and what not to ban in Modern!

As a dedicated druid combo player, the best timing would have been in the draw step. It minimizes the mana available during the turn and that is massive

Have you considered Militia Bugler for consistency? It hits almost everything.
I wrecked a Norin EDH deck just by playing turn 2 Overburden.
I have a version of this deck and I will vouch for missing triggers.

Is it worth running faithless looting to discard redundant norins? Can also make draws slightly better
Take out the 3rd and 4th impact tremor in favor of 4 champion of the parish. He's like pridemate, all your guys are humans, he gets huge.
Also this deck prefers to operate on 2-3 lands, emeria is a pipe dream, and 4 drops are also.
I think Emeria was a silly include. I thought it was "free" but actually the hideaway lands might be better.
Ranger of Eos is very good for ending the game with a Whacker etc
@@PleasantKenobi yeah, ranger and maybe 1 purphoros were my 4 drops when I played the deck. Most people tend to run legionnaire over whack, because it allows you to ignore opposing myr tokens, as well as incidental others like lingering souls spirits.

You would have had to ghost quarter your 2nd ghost quarter to cast helix so I'm pretty sure not helixing against a mull to 5 is correct. If you had the lands might be a different story
