I am in Saskatchewan Canada. Here we have cheap potash by-product that salt the roads in winter with. It rust out vehicles in 10 years. So we have do more rust prevention. Before your sound deadner we would have heavily painted . You done very nice job for your area. It looks new. I have a 81 myself. The cab mounts rusted out and the clutch linkage is not working. Just a matter of time to fix it . Great job you done.
You Aussies are SO lucky to have these cool old F-Series trucks that we don’t even get in the USA. Those factory seats are what came in the Mustang GT here, back then. That wasn’t an option for us. I would give my left NUT to have a nice Right hand driver Bull Nose like that to tool around here in. No one else here has one, that’s for sure. This model is close to what was called the “Lariat” trim level here. I guess they decided to let our Aussie Brothers and Sisters have the cool version and call it an XLT Ranger? That’s cool though. You guys deserve it. I love Australia! Im come over one day and get me a Ford truck and go catch me a Tazmanian Tiger. I know y’all probly still got some of them runnin around way back in the bush.

I aways sand off paint before fillers, Treatment of rust, Looks ok for a while, Paint jobs sales, This is why you need to find untouched cars and trucks, Easy to hide damage
I didn't watch the vid, but I noticed it has FORD across the hood and also the blue oval in the grill. Were any years made that way? I thought '81 was the last year of the lettered hood, then they switched to the grill oval. Any info. appreciated.
What country are you in I've never seen a Ford truck with the steering wheel on the right I'm sure they made them in different countries first time I've ever saw one

It's OK not to apply a clearcoat after the paint? I haven't painted a vehicle before so not sure.
Single stage doesn't require clear coat as it's in the paint already
