This is interesting. On the part I'm currently working on (On the Mazak Integrex) I have a Key projecting into the bore on one end. I order to reach it I will need to tilt the B axis to get a 1/16" ball mill into the corners. This may work. I don't as of yet have a functional post. But if I can post the code for just the tool path I can manually insert it into the program made by Esprit. The Esprit software believe it or not is not as good as Fusion's ability when it comes to this kind of thing. This is one reason I would like to get Fusion to work for the Mazak Integrex.
very interesting to see a very knowlegable man like you still watching videos and learning from them a true example of the no limit for learning and no particular source for it
@@EdgePrecision my words can't describe the great feelings that I had when you replied me it is facinating to be replied by a great man that I respect thank you so much bith for the amazing amount of knowledge that you share
What a great video to show the ease of simultaneous 5 axis through fusion. I’ve used powermill and featurecam and always thought fusion was the weakest when it comes to toolpaths, I will have to give it a try after watching this. 👍🏻
On this subject for those who use Mastercam I had always checked the box "make all rapid moves feed moves" then I would make the feed 500 ipm. That way the machines I ran would use deceleration and they would have a smooth movement like gliding.
Thanks for the tips. was just messing around with 5 axis in simulation and couldn't get it to do anything I wanted. Have you ever tried Autodesk Feature Mill? If it does what it says it could really speed up programing time.
How do you measure the tool stickout? Do you do that manually, and if so, what setup do you use? Alternatively, do you measure based on theoretical/given values from the manufacturer? Thanks!
Hi,you could try setting the tool sweap angle to something really big like 45-90 degree,it makes the linking moves nice and smooth. Thnx for doing alot of interesting videos :)
Just from an education standpoint... You didn't really show it working faster with the new smoother way side by side... Just to drive it all home. Thanks for great thoughts and ideas
I'm always thankful that even your business grew a lot you still are sharing your knowledge. Thank you!
when john is excited his own body start moving in 5 axes
This is pure enjoyment and education. Could not ask to be better.

Knowing you, it's probably Inconel :)

@@marouanebenderradji137 John is much better at Fusion than I am. So I do learn from his videos.

In mastercam adjusting the tolerace helps. Also use smoothing setting and arcs work faster than tons of xy moves

Thanks for this post. We are new to five axis simultaneous machining with Fusion 360 and this will help a lot.
More 5 axis tutorials please!!!
Once again John...you saved me! Would love to come to Ohio for a class

Such small details explained so simply. Not easy, well done.

Awesome video, I just wish someone would do a video this awesome for Camworks.
Incredible video, really awesome.
Thanks!
How or where do you get the job orders that you manufacture?
would love to get a 5 axis machine but don't see it happening any time soon:)

Interesting the more moves smoothed it up but it didn't really seem to slow it down.

Forgot to mention that swarf with a forced tilting angle usually gives a nice toolpath.
Excellent!
ATB, Robin
No 'porting' toolpaths in fusion? Or ability to align tool vector through a point or curve?
GARRETT LEWIS Nope, not yet anyways
Hallo, welche Art von software erhalten sie in einem Fünf Achsen_Programm?
Thanks for sharing this!
Welche software eignet sich am besten Für Fünf Achsen _programm? Danke
Great stuff.

Nice video
5:10 the answer
Generative design work as per metal plastic slip line theory and redistributes material according to shear stress flow of the part.
Im going home to download fusion 360 right when i get out of work its time

Great! Now just to get such a machine... in my shed... maybe get a second mortgage on my house.
hi there.
hello how are you doing
