Christian's harmonic awareness is truly outstanding. Through that, he shaped the music perfectly whilst creating such a warm and beautiful tone. This recording has deeply touched me. Thank you!
It is clear that you understand this music to an incredibly precise degree. You can shape the phrases, voice the melody, and create an all-encompassing experience that I haven't heard any other violinist do. I listened to your performance at the Menuhin competition, and you were incredible then, but it's a treat to see your talent evolve and expand as you continue to play. Your music brings me so much joy, and I hope you continue to play :) Great job!
This is not a prodigy anymore. This is a marvelous accomplished musician.
The adjective transcendental defined in Cambridge dictionary: ”A transcendental experience, event, object, or idea is extremely special and unusual and cannot be understood in ordinary ways”. Alternatively, listening to Christian playing the violin gives the definition directly to your heart without any logical explanations needed. ❤️
Thank you, Christian and Lawrence, for this very beautiful, touching, expressive performance. I have sung "Après un Rêve" (I'm sure you know it is originally for voice and piano), and your playing it on violin was wonderfully "vocal" in phrasing, delicacy, and expression. The communication between you, Christian and Lawrence, a seamless and intuitive. It was a pleasure to see and hear you in this Fauré.
As soon as I hear the first note, I cannot stop listening. I do not pause the video and must watch until the end. I'm mesmerized by the beauty of the sound he creates. I've never heard the violin played more beautifully. This applies to every video of his that I've seen.
it is christmas soon. do you allready have his two albums. i can only say: they are a priviledge to listen to. such a gift for the world.
Christian, if a thief comes and steals your violin while you are playing, we will continue to hear its sweet sound, because you also play with your heart and with your whole body. all this can be seen very well, observing the passion you put into each piece of music.
christian!!! you are amazing!! ❤️from South korea.
Laurence and Christian have been playing together for a long time, no wonder they match so well. It is an absolute pleasure to have heard your playing as I was deeply moved by this. Just more than 3 minutes of sublime music is enough to make one's day. Thank you both for the astounding sound and for posting this after Menuhin has taken it down.
If possible, you should definitely upload your Sarasate caprice ❤️
This performance touched my soul and moved me to tears. The beauty of tone and the range of colours made for an exquisite, bitter-sweet experience. Sublime! Most sensitively accompanied too.Thank you.both.
The first time I saw them playing together, Christian was shorter than Laurence sitting. Now finally. Christian just plays better and better.
This is the Best I ever heard and so depth with the emotion comes from his deep involvement. Christian is mature, probably the best i ever heard. And his accompanist was so quiet and calm- together it was Subtle and Beautiful! thank both of you!
the pianist plays with him for years but not only him - he is a professional too and these two are such a great match. on the new album they also play something together. so beautiful!
The tone of his Violin🤯 the tone he’s able to produce….
As a violinist you are my biggest inspiration for performance and interpretation. This is one of the most beautiful performances I've heard. Thank you 😄
INCRIDIBILMENTE UN GRANDE VIOLINISTA ,ANIMA, CORPO E MUSICALITA,' MI INCANTO A SENTIRLO E VEDERLO SUONARE, GRAZIE CRISTIANO
在如此凄美的小提琴声中,仿佛我也陷在梦境中不能自拔!Christian Li谢谢你一如既往的用心的演奏,会一直关注你的音乐!
Thank you! Christian Li, for yet another transcendental listening experience. You are truly amazing !
Beautiful sound, tempo, and emotions. Such a singing sound on the E-string. One of my absolute favourite interpretations! Kudos to the pianist as well! Great job!
出だしの一音から引き込まれました!So beautiful sounds Christian! Bravo from Japan!
shivers all over.. i usually don’t enjoy violin interpretations of this piece, but this is not only the first one I actually enjoy but also my new favourite interpretation of the piece. congrats to both
divine..absolutely divine and the accomponist is brilliant...x
He’s mature and sensitive beyond his years. His phrasing and colors, and varied use of vibrato, are the marks of an authentic artist (and virtuoso violinist) in the making.
As per usual another perfectly played piece, not a note out of place, just total control of the violin. I don’t think that Christian, at this high standard of playing, can play anything that dose not sound exquisite. Once again a master class in how a violin should be played.
This piece of music touches my heart deeply. Thank you, Christian, for your subtle interpretation.
Amazing playing! Your sound always makes my heart full of joy and sorrow. Thank you, Christian for uploading this for us to listen!
As always, a poignant masterful performance from Christian Li.
That is just sublime, Mr Li. Only a beautiful and mature soul can produce such music. Thank you for allowing me to soar with you again.
Exquisite. And a superb piano and violin duo.
So glad to be able to hear this again!!! Would you also upload the other two pieces you played? Missed them a lot.
What a beautiful tone! And your emotional expression is great. I am fascinated so much.
Your playing is so special...wide range of abstract colors, subtletly, and nuance.
Heartfelt and impressionistic.
Heavenly……. 🙏💛🙏
Never stop uploading videos of your playing, it's a joy to watch and listen, thank you for sharing ❤️💐

Christian can you be honest with us,
You are more than 13 this year right?
What's with the dislike? the envy and jealousy is that strong? LOL. Get a life, just enjoy the performance.
What a beautiful recording! Amazing, as usual.
I was sad when this was taken down, very glad it’s back up again!!!
아름답다... 아름답다....
Genius
wow, Chris, - you are probably working super hard to improve your plays, but talent is here too, - obvious.
Just beautiful. Thank you.
The pianist is amazing omg
i remember seeing this for the recent menuhin prizewinner concert, along with the grieg sonata. i was terribly disapointed when the video got taken down, especially the grieg sonata! are you planning to post that recording too? i loved the way you interacted with the pianist, it felt that it was truly played like a sonata, not a piano accompanying a violin soloist which many other performances of sonatas can feel like.
do you happen to know the name of the other song that he played? the russian one.
@@ianr7442 i don’t think he played a Russian piece? I’m pretty sure it was après un rêve by fauré
@@ianr7442 He played Grieg violin sonata no.3, Après un rêve, and Caprice Basque, Op.24 for the winner concert :)
Nur ein ganz großes Bravo solch ein Musicalitaet
You are Amazing ,you have biggest talent!!!
He inspires a lot of people to learn and enjoy music like the way he does
Will Christian appear in twosetviolin?😃
와우 ~!!대박~!!🥳🥳🥳🙏🙏🙏
I can't 😭😭😭😭 wow
It would be cool to do a collaboration with Lydian Nadhaswaram.
how do you do that? :/ am i that bad?
Could you learn the Beethoven Romance in F major and then upload it? Could you give me tips on how to control the bow even better?
Cool!
Muchas gracias!
Thank you Christian for this wonderful music. This is just what I needed!❤️ Thank you
and a little angel fell from heaven and played music for us.
I remember hearing this first in the Menuhin Winner's Gala video that was taken down (I think). Nice to be able to listen to it again
I wonder why it was taken down?
@@Choclatify might have be matters of copyright and requirements of musicians' union rules for compensation
@@Choclatify
The Menuhin Competition had to take it down on 1 June because Decca/Christian only gave it rights to the recital until that date.
@@jackburgess8579 do you know the name of the russian song that he played?

Christian performed:
Grieg - Violin Sonata No. 3, Op. 45
Fauré - Après un rêve
Sarasate - Caprice Basque, Op. 24
Perhaps you are thinking of Sarasate's Caprice? I think Christian hasn't re-posted it but Hannah Tam performed it recently if you want to check whether it is the piece you have in mind.
Wow! Thank you both for a stunning and gorgeous performance!
Sin palabras. Todo belleza.
Absolutely magnificent!!! Bravo!!
What a beautiful musician ❤, a true sensitive soul
bagus sekali ! lagu kesukaanku
Wow Chris your expressions! its like your about to burst into tears!
Now the musical term espressivo has a new meaning.
Muito lindo .

So the sound is profound!

Beautiful🙏🙏! One question: what violin do you play on?
Hi, I’m playing on a Guarneri violin. Thanks.
Perfect Cristian li

Can you post the video you play grieg violin sonata no. 3 in at the menhuin competition because it was deleted some weeks ago and I really enjoyed it

Absolutely stunning as usual!

@@ILikeBirds yup
Gorgeous, sensitive, amazing musicianship
바로 들어와서 들어봅니다 ♡
🎻🎻🎻❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇲🇽
I like how he plays while watching into the audience
And he still plays a 3/4 violin😲
@@ChiefHerzensCoach
I guess you meant "his 3/4"" rather than "this 3/4"!
@@ChiefHerzensCoach
I had thought it was a typo but now I see that it was a point of grammar. One cannot say "this 3/4 he had before ..." either. In such a phrase "this" has to refer to an object presently in view (such as the violin in the video), as it must too in "this 3/4 size violin was ..."
The phrase needed is "the 3/4 he had before ...." and likewise "his/the 3/4 size violin was ..."
I really don't mean to be pedantic! Just to be clear, your English is excellent whereas I am ashamed to say that I couldn't speak a language other than English to save my life!
tocas tan hermosos y con mucho sentimiento
Absolutely sublime!
🌹
The best!
OMG!

How can anybody thumbs down this. That's what i don't understand.
