Hi, thank you for using the stencils I sent you in one of your videos - woke up to quite a few orders! I've out of stock of the little ones you are using but do have plenty of the bigger 5.75 inch. Love how you just painted right through the stencil; had not thought of doing that, I traced them. You way is way better and less time consuming!!!
I was like "haha imagine If White nights was on the list" and I WAS SURPRISED OKAY. White Nights paints hold a special place in my heart. I love them for being so affordable and having so many new and nice colors lately!
May May maybe the price varies in different countries? :0 where I live, White Nights is MUCH cheaper than most other professional brands! plus it’s whole pans :,,) the 12 pan set is £20 here, which I find quite good
I love that White Nights are your number one. I love my White Nights! Though I haven't tried other brands. I'm content with my White Nights right now and look forward to growing my collection of them. I wasn't able to buy the larger set at one time. So I started with the 12 pan set. Then recently bought some pans on Jackson's for really cheap. I also bought a larger metal palette to hold them and ones to come.💓
It’s always such a pleasure to see foreign artists support Russian paint makers. All three listed watercolor sets are really great and universal, but they do have many differences, so it would be pretty cool to do a side-by-side comparison and analysis, though there is much stuff like this on youtube, but your vision clearly differs from the others. Funny thing is that many Russian artists hate on White Nights just because they are a bit dull, but I think it’s just because the formulas haven’t changed much in 80 years.
@@shanealexsmith6201 You're welcome! Since this is such an affordable and good quality line, this makes this medium more accessible for a ton more people.

As a russian I am very happy for White Nights. It's nice to know that our brands can be really useful in the civilized world :D But I personally prefer Mijello Mission Gold because of its saturation. So I've been delighted twice with your top list :D
I love my white nights! They are so nice and have a wonderful price point and size and color selection. I have the 36 pan set from Amazon, the 9 pastels and their 7 metallics!
The fact that your top 3 favourite paints are similar and preform the same just means that you learned what works the best for you and that you're growing as an artist ❤️
My 3 tops are: 1. Mission Gold (absolutely loves these) 2. QOR Mini 3. White Nights I like the idea of making your own colors and putting them into their own palette. Thanks for the idea.
I too also love my White Nights palette. Always reliable and never cease to amaze me with their vibrancy and ease of use. I am also loving my Da Vinci palette right now too. My third go to would be Daniel Smith and then my Micador/Koch I Noor brilliant dye based watercolor discs. Always bright and great for wow effects. Thanks for the video Arleesha. Looking forward to seeing your next one.
Before I start, your Dragon Age stickers give me life!! It makes me feel so giddy and happy seeing them :> As for the video, I love the White Nights and Mijello watercolors! I'm glad they're at the top two spots :> Mijello are so beautifully pigmented and incredible, while White Nights are lovely, beautiful and so cheap for a professional brand! Thank you for this video, it was really interesting :>
@@bunnyydoesthings same here, they're so pretty!! i think if you look on etsy you might be able to find some as some artists do have their shops there :>
Yay!! So happy to see your 1st choice is NP White Nights! And yes thank you for making these beautiful videos to take our minds off of what’s going on... 🤗👍🏼🙏🏼
What I do when I cannot afford a brand’s paint - I usually buy a tube a month or whatever and I get a limited palette - a cadmium yellow light (or similar), quinacridone magenta, cerulean blue (or French ultramarine), titanium white and burnt umber. You can substitute the burnt umber with ivory black or paynes grey. This palette follows the CYMD palette which is a better mixing palette than typical primaries. I did this with my gouaches.
White Nights and Roman Szmal are VERY affordable. I am waiting for Oto Kano to finish her swatching series of Szmals and making a pared down list myself.
Terri Light I like my Van Gogh set of bright paints, too. I am not primarily a watercolourist or gouache painter - as I use them mostly for sketching and stuff SO, keep that in mind. But yeah, those work way better than my KOI paints which where the same price.
Thanks for the great video! Qor are my absolute favorite, but I love White Nights, M. Graham, and Daniel Smith too and don't really know how I would rank those, they are all just great. Would love to see your review of the Roman Szmal paints!
Just wanted to say that you are one of my favourite artist and your videos and works are super inspiring!❤️ My top three watercolours are: White Nights Van Gogh Rosa Gallery (which are only three that I have tried so far, tbh:)) my first watercolours were 12 colours set by White nights, and i really love them and I so happy that you to! After I started watching your channel I was really inspired to try watercolor again, and shortly realized that I need few extra colours, and i really wanted to try some tube watercolor but just couldn't find any White nights tubes in my city, so I grab a local brand ones, the Rosa Gallery, and I really enjoyed them, there's a lot of single pigment colours in their palette and all information such as lightfastnes, coverage and pigment names is listed on a tubes and pans, and they performed very well from what I've experienced, which was a big surprise for a new and local brand. Maybe you will try these some day :) And then I just kept buy some new tubes if I was feeling like I need new colours and also gave a try to Van Gogh and really liked them too, it's a good student grade watercolours :) (I know I'm a little bit long-winded, sorry for that, and also sorry for my English, I'm trying my best and just hoping my comment makes any sense x)) Have a great day and greetings from Ukraine!❤️
I must say I love my paints to be reliable as well but by now I am COMPLETELY over colors by brand. I completely gave up buying new paints, for the reason that my “literally every brand” mix in my main pallet does EXACTLY what I want from them! Also, the color wheels oh my, that first one, gorgeous
I just got that same White Knights palette last week. I’m enjoying it so far, haven’t had a lot of time to play with them because we just converted our garage to a rec room and my art space moved out there. So I’m only half sorted right now and the last bit of construction just got finished today. I have to say, I feel like I’m always the voice of dissent when it comes to Schminke watercolors. I don’t dislike them, but I just don’t seem nearly as drawn to them as everyone else. I think they are too smooth for me. I don’t do much representational art, and I adore granulation and wild pigment dispersion. So my top brands are currently QOR and Daniel Smith. I could probably just be happy with QOR but DS specialty paints are too much fun. I love the primatek range and the lunar colors. They’re just too much fun.
I had to relegate my traditional art to the waaay back burner when I started learning digital art. I spent 15 years working with computers to create my art and stay active in the work force! I choose mission gold when I came back to traditional art and as a watercolor artist I had a hard time breaking out of my mold. Denise Soden from “In Liquid Color” has converted me to DaVinci Paints! Even mixing multiple brands in one palette! This is sacrilege! My college instructor is rolling over in his grave! Don’t get me started on white paint! Hee Hee! I am still trying to adapt and continue to re-learn even extend my knowledge about my craft. I applaud your willingness to change your favorites and hope your art journey continues to bring you and others JOY!
I just expanded my collection from cotman and kuretake. The Roman Szmall are gorgeous! Only got three pans, to see if I enjoy them, and they're amazing. Definitely deserve to grow a lot!
I went on a watercolor journey starting about 2 years ago and I tried a lot of different brands, and somehow managed to not try any of these (with the exception of a single tube of mission gold I got on sale). I don't actually have 3 favorite brands I have 2 atm and they Daniel Smith and Qor. I like Qor because they're just so fun and vibrant and I like Daniel Smith because they are unique and a pretty reliable selection. Both of these brands are fairly accessible to me as well. I have been interested in Schminke from the beginning but I shied away from them for 2 reasons: 1. They are very expensive and 2. they didn't to my knowledge have options without oxgall which at the time was something that I was trying to avoid. I've been intrigued by both White Nights and Mijello paints but I decided that I was more or less happy with the collection that I have amassed and I don't want to be wasteful, so I am using up what I have (which includes paints from atleast 5 brands) before I experiment any further. I think my next watercolor exploration will be from DaVinci because I'm super interested in the palette that was created by Denise Soden. I don't know if it's still available but I think I can at least build it up by the tube. After this video I am definitely interested in Whites Nights now too!!
Thanks so much Arleesha - I have two of those palettes Mission and White Nights and just a few Schminckes but they are all my faves too!! love your videos they are so relaxing. I always paint while I am watching and I feel like I am in your studio with you.
White Nights is my fave as well: big wells, also available in tubes, high quality, cheap and we'll available. I also like Van Gogh for the same reasons. Other artist brands are nice as well, but they are in the expensive side and not so widely available whee I live.
Yay for Schmike 😃. My top three are the only three I really have fullish sets of which are 1. Schmike 2. Daniel Smith 3. Kuretake. Also have a lot of W&N professional grade which I also love and am getting into Qors because of Jenny Granberry, Oh yes, also enjoying the few Hobein colours I have. Also, have just put a couple of colour wheels in my Etsy cart because they're from AUSTRALIA!!! (yes, I'm Australian 😬). Thanks for another awesome vid x
I use different types of watercolor paints - normal, pencils and gouache. I'm not too fussy on the normals. I buy the best quality I can afford, which is low cost. I save my money for wc pencils, specifically the Faber-Castell Albrecht Durers. PS I'm in Canada, and the brands you like are not available here in most art stores.
Roman Szmal are my new watercolour crush! I have to say I am so glad you chose White Nights for the number one spot... Last year I bought the 36 palette thanks to your review and I am still in love with them! Beautiful colour wheels. They're lovely and so convenient!
I loved this video and that stencil is SO CUTE. also, if you're feeling wheezy, please get checked for coronavirus! I don't know when this was filmed or where you live, but its wise to have caution.
I'm using Akademia from Schminke and i really like it, so no wonder Hoaradam made it to top 3. Tbh, from color perspective i like those paintings of yours the most.
I was going to buy the Winsor and Newton cotman 12 set, it's so beautiful tiny and pretty but then i saw white nights and i felt in love of the 12 FULL pans plastic set. Also tiny and beautiful. I understand the little higher price is affordable if you're offering FULL pans and more pigmented and vibrant colors. Also i start doing my own research, reviews tons of reviews on Google and in RUclips. I'm waiting to get my white nights set. It's already in transit the set. *__* I made a really good choice. And they are artist grade. :)
Oh! I am so in agreement with your #1 choice x 10! I have ordered other White Nights colors in tubes, and just...wow. I cannot distinguish between Sennielier and “Jackson’s” brand and enjoy those , too. I’m making paints, so I do like what I’ve made, too! So economical, if you add it up. I was blessed with a paint making set, including an amazing piece of heavy, beveled tempered glass. I beg for paint making vids, as you know. My binder ratios are just a bit different from yours, but the primaries are incredible. I hope to buy some of yours someday! I make smaller batches, so far, except for my first batch. I was inspired by you! I can’t choose a # 3, right now. I love granulation in watercolor and few do that well consistently. Again, put me on the buyers list for your paints and your # 1 choice would be mine, too!
My tastes have changed also. Right now I have a top 5. 5. Paul Reubens 48 colors, 4. Daniel Smith, 3. Fine Tec 24 metallics, 2. QoR (just acquired) 1. White Nights as well. I have others and do go through them. But the one thing all of these have in common for is that the color lays out smoothly. I do abstract and geometric abstract and have color lay where I want is very satisfying to me. Thank you for sharing your favs and your artwork. Though we are very different types of artist your work inspires me. I have learned a lot about creating with watercolor from you. Peace and love.
Well, I don't have white nights so can u tell me why do u liked them the most? My list right now is: - Paul Rubens (And that's it, I don't have a whole lot of sets lol)
I loved watching this Arlee!! I enjoyed watching the cute stencil and those colors!! Wow! I can see why you love them! My favorites at home are Mission Gold and Mission White and Daniel Smith! I have wanted Schmicke paints for sooooo long! Hugs and I hope you feel better!
Ahhh! I’m so excited for a new video. Your channel is absolutely killer and an inspiration to me on my journey as an artist. 💛 sending you all my love. Xx
I have only tried Søstrene Grene's very cheap, pretty bad watercolours to find out if I liked working with watercolours before I got my set of White Nights watercolours. It's nice to be confirmed in the opinion that the White Nights watercolours are really good from someone who has tried a lot of brands! Especially since I don't really have the extra funds to explore other watercolour brands myself. Thank you for another lovely video ^_^
Anne Stenbye Art I have had exactly the same journey when I started painting two and three years ago and white nights are still my favorite even though I have tried other more expensive brands later on as well :)
My favourites are Schmincke Horadam as there are easy to work with and easy to obtain here in Germany, Qor as they have kind of a modern touch compared to other brands and I like watercolors with a good flow and White Nights because they are good quality for their price, I just bought the pastel colors. I had a 24 pan set from Mijello but sold it because there behavior was pretty similar to White Nights. Also, I got my set for a good price on ebay, I think, Mijello is kind of overhyped compared to others and you always should go for a low price. And I am really interested in trying Roman Szmal colors, they look very tempting!
This template is so cute 💞 Out of these that you chose I only know White Nights very well, but I also have one little happy quinacridone gold paint of the Roman Szmal's watercolors, as they are from my country and I wanted to try them out :) (and I really like it, but they are a lil bit pricier than White Nights so for now I'll just stick to what I have ^^) Also, the name of the paints is actually what I believe is the creators/producer name (it's used as a brand name, cause it's also on their other products ;)) and it's pronounced "Sh-mah-l" (?) (The 'sz' is pronounced like 'sh' in 'shake' 😅 and there goes 'ma' which is just 'm' with 'ah' ('mah') and then the 'l' comes 😂 hope that helps if anybody was curious 🙈 It was very realxing to listen to you talking about your favourite watercolours and watch you make the charts, thank! 💞
I wish Nevskaya Palitra could present all its production for foreign online shops. They are modernizing their line of products, adding new rich and vibrant and transparent colours. Also they have metallic colours and pastel colours. New metal tins for their full pans (very lovely colours, one is rich purple, other is light reddish blue). And individual tubes. In Russia I can buy 10 ml tube for the price of one pan on Jackson's Art. I'm happy that they are constantly improving and gaining recognition outside home country.
Do you think, at some point, you could make a video on how you convey emotion and gesture in your pieces? I have a hard time portraying emotion in most of my pieces, (my pieces seem pretty lifeless and look like carbon copies of my references-which I really don’t like), I think it would really help if I could observe what your process is for it. I really enjoy your videos and your art style and would like to know more about your thought process when you go to create a piece. Also, please stay safe. This whole pandemic really sucks to be honest...
If you haven't tried Grumbacher's Finest...just buy a tube of their Deft blue and then...you will see :) also Utrecht's cerulean blue chromium pure is amazing. 2 highly underrated brands.
Great video! I'm still a watercolor beginner so I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to paints but I'm really enjoying the arteza set that I got ^^ it's nothing fancy but it does everything it needs to do for someone who's trying to get into watercolors
Of the brands I've tried (which are none of the ones you mentioned) I enjoy Qor best I think. I've tried Sennelier, Qor, M. Graham, Da Vinci and Daniel Smith. I've found that what I appreciate most in a paint is the texture it has in the pan when dried. M. Graham is sticky, Sennelier is kind of puffy like salt water taffy, Da Vinci and Daniel Smith are more rock-like and Qor is a bit in between, kind of like plastic. The harder paints aren't as quick to rewet but still work fine. Qor rewets with the ease of the softer paints without being used up as quickly. They all perform well though, and I don't really see a difference on paper between any of them except with M. Graham which has a weird texture. I am really interested in trying all of the brands you listed (including your handmade paints), but I'm going to have to be economical and use up what I have first. Thank you very much for the video though, and I love that cute stencil :)
I love those brands! I just recently got my schmincke palette and I love it but I have to get to know it better and play more with it before I call it a favorite. I really like mission gold, but I only have 3 colors so far 😄 I like them but no set spoke to me so far so I just hand pick singles. My white klnights are the most used but not the big set but the little selected color palette. I found I prefer very small amount of paints over a big set with only the paints that I really like
YESSSSSSS MIJELLO MISSION GOLD! I've wanted Schmincke for so long but I just cannot afford the investment. My go-to's are currently Mijello, Daniel Smith, Ph Martin Hydrus, and some Holbein.
I like the white nights, they are so affordable. I did just order a bunch of van gogh tubes from blick and couldn't help but also throw in 2 daniel smith: shadow violet and raw umber violet as a stand in caput mortuum. Just love that color but I'm tired of mixing it because I'm lazy and impatient. I can't wait to try the shadow violet. I just saw in a comment (can't remember by whom but it was on oto kano's comparison video of the moonglow vs shadow violet) and she said that she had gone to a tour through the ds factory and shadow violet actually came to be because of an accident. It was supposed to be moonglow but instead of adding pr 177 the person added po73 and that is how shadow violet came to be. I thought that was just such a great story. I take no credit for it, please check the reviews on oto kano's video for the nice lady who provided this info. That was a rant, sorry. How do y'all feel about van gogh paints? Has anyone tried them in excess? I can't wait to see how they perform. Less than 3 bucks for a tube is fantastic. I'll definitely be stocking up some more at a later time
I enjoy watching your vids and listening to you talk about watercolors - hearing your passion makes me excited too, even though I’m just starting out and learning all this stuff. I want to get that 36 White Nights set so bad, but it’s so difficult to find here and buying from amazon would cost me 3x as much with shipping and other fees :( Hopefully one of the shops here restock soon-ish. Get well soon and take care! I’m fairly new, but I looooove your content 💚
My top brands are probably Stoneground Paint Co., followed by Beam Paints, (I'm on that handmade small batch kick lately), and then my trusty Winsor & Newton because their yellow ochre is my underpainting holy grail.
4:49 i LOVEEE your pieces, they're so gorgeous and dreamy! the middle one especially captured me here because you pull off heterochromatic eyes so well! 💕
The Roman Szmal paints are a new favorite, and I really hope we get a US supplier at some point. My go-to is Daniel Smith. I use Qor for plein air, Mission Gold for bright illustrations, and a mixture of DS, Da Vinci, and M Graham on my general palette. I've heard mixed things about White Nights, so haven't tried them, but you make them look very nice!
Actually the meaning would be the common way to say 'money', like english 'dough' :) (idk if that's widely used, but that's the best one I could find in english 😂)
It's always so much fun to hear and see another artists take on favorites. I would have to say I tend to go through fazes of what I use. I'm not sure if it's because I feel guilty to spend the money and then just let them sit on a shelf. I do use my White Nights a lot and they are one of my top favorites. In fact I have nearly all of their colors. I just ordered the new colors for 2020. I have be experimenting a lot with the Qor paints that my daughter gave me and I also love my Sennelier. All 3 are very different as I'm sure you know. I have many brands though, some in just a few colors but in most I have enough colors brand to be able to paint more than just stroke work. I love Daniel Smith too, just don't like how hard they dry in the pans.
"White Nights" is only ones watercolors I have and I love them. After discovering how much of new colors I actually can mix from them I don't even thing about buying next colors or colors from others brands (I have set with 24 pans).
I love my White Nights watercolours. They are my mainstays and I find them very dependable and very affordable. They were my first watercolour set and I've never regretted it. And I've been adding to it ever since.
Oh I love your videos so much! I've just started my artistic journey with watercolors and I've started with a 12 half pan set of Windsor and Newton cotman. You made me fall in love with the white nights so I got their 12 full pan set, I haven't received it yet but I'm very excited to see how they'll be ❤️ Please keep your videos coming, they're very inspiring ❤️
I feel the same way when I get a good deal on my paints too - making me feel good so I use them more often :) I love all the three brands (and have all of them too). I have a set of Aquarius and a few of its individuals pans; and I love them too... As far as professional paint goes, I like everyone of them - and use them depending on my mood (I'm using Maimeri Blu set today). I saw that Daniel Smith is finally coming out with two sets of 24 in metal tins; and Da Vinci has its Jackson's signature 20 colors in a metal tin - both are on my wish list for this year. I'm just waiting for a good deal!
You can't mix all the secondary colours from the same primaries; you need a warm and cool version of each primary. For example, to make a good purple you need a cool red like alizarin and a warm blue (ultramarine), whereas to make a good green you need a cool blue (prussian) and a warm yellow (mid cadmium yellow), though green is more forgiving if you want to make natural, rather than pure greens. This is why your purple always looks muddy - you're using a warm red and cool blue.
I have a few Schminke, Daniel Smith, DaVinci, Winsor &Newton, one White Night and Holbein gouache. My first set was White Nights until I got my more saturated ones and really studied color theory. Favorite all time permanent alizarin crimson is from DaVinci surprise! Also the Cerulean blue is lovely. DaVinci is underrated as a whole in the industry and so affordable. Their DaVinci pyrrol orange is great and perylene green is more saturated then DS. My all time favorite convenience sap green is from Winsor & Newton. It’s brown madder is exactly the same as DS burnt scarlet and the burnt oranges are the same. Mixed with nickel azo yellow you get quinacridone gold or a little more burnt orange and you have a stronger version sold by DS. Phalo green mixed with the previous makes a beauteous sap green too. And DaVinci darker cobalt turquoise is a dream.
I'm late to this party, but I'm genuinely surprised to see so many people who love White Nights. The only thing I really liked about my set was the price! They are, for me, just okay. They are reliable, but lack...something. I'm not actually sure what! I use them for sketchbook work (where I want the reliability because I want to be quick), but nothing else.
I have just completed my palette of 36 White Nights watercolours! I really love how creamy they are & how they seem to glide onto the paper. I also watch one of your old videos & have just treated myself to the Paul Rubens Glitter set which I have just tried & I love them. By the way I'm sure lots of people tell you but you have a beautiful voice, I'm sure you could get work as a voice over artist. Loved this video....(*,*)...
Ya know I think I’ve used white knights as a little kid I recognize the packaging it’s weird I used those and idk they were professional I used those for finger painting
I really wanted to try Mijello paints but in my country there were only available the non-pure pigment set. I bought it and I wanted to love them but I had such a hard time with them. They were too bright too saturated for me and when I tried to tame them down a little bit they started to get to muddy...

Except that they are modernizing their entire line right now. The new colors are more lightfast and vibrant!
Jennifer Wells well, I’ve only heard of adding new colors to the line, but I’m glad they’re improving! Thanks for the information.

@@bunnyydoesthings same here, they're so pretty!! i think if you look on etsy you might be able to find some as some artists do have their shops there :>
@@vulpaes256 I've looked and haven't been able to find any
Zevran for life!, love Dragon Age and White Nights!
Yay!! So happy to see your 1st choice is NP White Nights! And yes thank you for making these beautiful videos to take our minds off of what’s going on... 🤗👍🏼🙏🏼
pretty sure your 3 favorite watercolors, are the watercolors I can't afford hahahaha
White Nights are the cheapest among three though
White Nights aren't too bad. You can get a full pan on Jackson's for less then $2. I'm slowly building my collection.
QOR are my favorite too. 😊
Just wanted to say that you are one of my favourite artist and your videos and works are super inspiring!❤️
My top three watercolours are:
White Nights
Van Gogh
Rosa Gallery
(which are only three that I have tried so far, tbh:))
my first watercolours were 12 colours set by White nights, and i really love them and I so happy that you to! Maybe you will try these some day :) And then I just kept buy some new tubes if I was feeling like I need new colours and also gave a try to Van Gogh and really liked them too, it's a good student grade watercolours :)
(I know I'm a little bit long-winded, sorry for that, and also sorry for my English, I'm trying my best and just hoping my comment makes any sense x))
Have a great day and greetings from Ukraine!❤️
Just yesterday I received the 36 colour set from white nights; I’m in love with them!
(That color wheel stencil it’s so cute ❤️)
My top 3 watercolor :
-Isaro
-sennelier
-schmincke
Holy- I aspire to have a collection as big as yours
Your massive collection of watercolours makes me feel better about my growing hoard. LOL
I agree!😂😂
I just expanded my collection from cotman and kuretake. The Roman Szmall are gorgeous! Only got three pans, to see if I enjoy them, and they're amazing. Definitely deserve to grow a lot!
I am just glad to see I am not the only one that has so much paint!
The earth friendly pallete is still available in different configurations 👍
Sweet! Thanks 💙
Thanks so much Arleesha - I have two of those palettes Mission and White Nights and just a few Schminckes but they are all my faves too!! love your videos they are so relaxing. I always paint while I am watching and I feel like I am in your studio with you.
Keep going arleesha! Your paintings inspired me to keep going with watercolor and you’re work is amazing. Anyway, just wanted to let you know.
Thank you...it would be great....if you put those 3 color wheels side by side....for us to see comparatively.
I use different types of watercolor paints - normal, pencils and gouache. I'm not too fussy on the normals. I buy the best quality I can afford, which is low cost.
I save my money for wc pencils, specifically the
Faber-Castell Albrecht Durers.
Omgg same
I loved this video and that stencil is SO CUTE. also, if you're feeling wheezy, please get checked for coronavirus! I don't know when this was filmed or where you live, but its wise to have caution.
Schmincke really are the definition of reliability. I feel they are very "German" in that way haha
I'm using Akademia from Schminke and i really like it, so no wonder Hoaradam made it to top 3. Tbh, from color perspective i like those paintings of yours the most.
Ура ура, победили "Белые ночи", меня аж гордость за отечественного производителя пробрала))) Я очень люблю эту акварель
I ordered White Nights like a week ago, I receive it tomorrow. I’m soooo happy I did. 🔥🌻
*Nights
Idellle thanks!✨❤️
I was going to buy the Winsor and Newton cotman 12 set, it's so beautiful tiny and pretty but then i saw white nights and i felt in love of the 12 FULL pans plastic set. Also tiny and beautiful.
I understand the little higher price is affordable if you're offering FULL pans and more pigmented and vibrant colors. Also i start doing my own research, reviews tons of reviews on Google and in RUclips.
I'm waiting to get my white nights set. It's already in transit the set. *__*
I made a really good choice.
And they are artist grade.
:)
You picked three I do not own but always wanted to try.
My list right now is:
- Paul Rubens
(And that's it, I don't have a whole lot of sets lol)
I loved watching this Arlee!! I enjoyed watching the cute stencil and those colors!! Wow! I can see why you love them! My favorites at home are Mission Gold and Mission White and Daniel Smith! I have wanted Schmicke paints for sooooo long! Hugs and I hope you feel better!
Ahhh! I’m so excited for a new video. Your channel is absolutely killer and an inspiration to me on my journey as an artist. 💛 sending you all my love. Xx
thaaaankyou for giving white nights so much appreciation :') will get them hehe
@@Tatiana-xi9gb that's really nice to know :D
My favourites are Schmincke Horadam as there are easy to work with and easy to obtain here in Germany, Qor as they have kind of a modern touch compared to other brands and I like watercolors with a good flow and White Nights because they are good quality for their price, I just bought the pastel colors.
I had a 24 pan set from Mijello but sold it because there behavior was pretty similar to White Nights. Also, I got my set for a good price on ebay, I think, Mijello is kind of overhyped compared to others and you always should go for a low price.
And I am really interested in trying Roman Szmal colors, they look very tempting!
yay i'm early
This template is so cute 💞 Out of these that you chose I only know White Nights very well, but I also have one little happy quinacridone gold paint of the Roman Szmal's watercolors, as they are from my country and I wanted to try them out :) (and I really like it, but they are a lil bit pricier than White Nights so for now I'll just stick to what I have ^^)
Also, the name of the paints is actually what I believe is the creators/producer name (it's used as a brand name, cause it's also on their other products ;)) and it's pronounced "Sh-mah-l" (?)
(The 'sz' is pronounced like 'sh' in 'shake' 😅 and there goes 'ma' which is just 'm' with 'ah' ('mah') and then the 'l' comes 😂 hope that helps if anybody was curious 🙈
It was very realxing to listen to you talking about your favourite watercolours and watch you make the charts, thank! 💞
Aaaahhhhh so many stacks of paint 😍💕
Wow, thanks for this comment. I heard that DS is very solid when dried, good to see confirmation.
I found I prefer very small amount of paints over a big set with only the paints that I really like
HAHAHA I thought I had too many palettes until I saw the intro lol
YESSSSSSS MIJELLO MISSION GOLD! I've wanted Schmincke for so long but I just cannot afford the investment. My go-to's are currently Mijello, Daniel Smith, Ph Martin Hydrus, and some Holbein.
Daniel smith, mission gold, sennelier, and holbein are my favorites!
I'll definitely be stocking up some more at a later time
PewPewCat I can’t pick favorites-- but my palette used for painting commissions has Van Gogh colors in it, I actually love them!
I was literally just watching the video you made last year! Clicked away from it to this video
Your art is so fucking inspiringgg. My favorites are at 4:55. The piece on the very right is so so beautiful.
Roman Szmal is polish, which means the easiest and closest pronunciation would be “Shmal” :)
My favourite watercolor brands are shinhan and mijello !
Oh my Gosh I rediscovered this video - thankyou universe. Love artistic people like me appreciate your content n efforts thankyou.
My 3 faves too.
"I'm sorry if I sound congested and a little bit wheeze. That's because I am congested and a little bit wheezy" 😅 💀
Can you do a giveaway with the ones that you don't like as much??
Great information!! I have some new one to try and explore now. Thank you! 👍
Do you have any want to try a white knight it looks beautiful, wish you would have swatched yours
I don´t like White Nights, my favorites: Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton and Schmicke.
I still haven't watch the video but my guesses are:
Daniel Smith or M. Graham
White Nights for sure
Sennelier
Ya know I think I’ve used white knights as a little kid I recognize the packaging it’s weird I used those and idk they were professional I used those for finger painting
Compulsive shopping. A sign of times. No one needs so much. It's actually sad you feel the need to.
What brushes are you using?
I really wanted to try Mijello paints but in my country there were only available the non-pure pigment set. I bought it and I wanted to love them but I had such a hard time with them. They were too bright too saturated for me and when I tried to tame them down a little bit they started to get to muddy...
Are White Knights and Yakra the same? I keep hearing conflicting things.
@0:05 ... hmmm
@0:15 ... tch still not enough
@0:30 ... now we're getting somewhere!
I've been waiting for this 😆
Can’t find the color wheel stencil. Guess she closed her Etsy shop! I really liked that stencil.
Really enjoyed your video. You have great energy and are so easy to watch and listen to. Thanks for the info.
I have the Mission gold colors found in nature. I love them!
You got a lot of watercolour
