Thank you Alice! ❤️ So glad you wound the info useful - there are so many swatching videos and not enough demos - so I thought I’d make one 😊 Happy Holidays!!!! ❄️🎄💙
This is exactly how a palette description video should be made. The amount of effort put into it is commendable. This is by far my favorite video of this kind. Not like the others where they just swatch out their palettes which anyway contains just the most basic colors. Great work! You earned a fan.
Thank you so much for your feedback Kartikey!!! 😊 A lot of work goes into these video edits (vs simple timelaoses) and I REALLY appreciate hearing that people find it enjoyable and informative. Feeling encouraged to do more! Have a wonderful day 💙
@@AnnaBucciarelli I am still learning the basics & have many questions- and in particular- why are the top watercolor brands worthy of the rating? Your description of these colors help so much bc you explain how you use them- what they are capable of, what thet mix well with..in short- this is like a mini- class & review all wrapped up in one.!! Very powerful information. You are an amazing teacher-thank you! 💕
@@firechick561 Thank you so much for your feedback - I am glad you enjoyed the video! :) I would say that the most important thing { what makes the biggest difference } is the quality of your paper. Meaning using less than 100% cotton will always reduce the quality of your work regardless of technique or skill level. So I would invest in high quality paper above all else including pigments and brushes. In terms of pigments, yes the brand makes a difference, but only if the paper quality is good. You pigments will be more vibrant pure and flow better with top brands. But that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune - there are "student" grade lower priced options from top brands like Winsor & Newton. In addition, you can always purchase dot charts that allow you to test all pigments from a bran like Daniel Smith for the cost of 1 tube { i buy them all the time } before investing in a full tube of your favourite color. At the end of the day you probably won't use ,more than a dozen pigments and those tubes last years. So get a dot chart, try it out, then pick your favourites. But paper quality first! :)
@@AnnaBucciarelli Thank you for your reply /input!. I will order quality, 100% cotton paper this week & I'll also try the dots now that I know what they are! 😄
Anna, how does one join your patreon group, also, have you ever bought a DS tube which was defective? I bought a tube of potters pink and it was labeled correctly but the paint did not give any pink shade when swatched. Can you suggest a tube brand to achieve a light pink? Thanks for sharing your incredible gift! We love your awesome gift
New to the art world and watercolor. Have supplies and started a little with some loose watercolor... and just playing with my favorite colors... one ended up looking like the Caribbean luscious waters of greens and blues. But you're the best realistic artist I've seen! I learned from this lesson, but so much more I need to understand. I thought, at 68, this will be like crayons & colorbook. OH BOY I HAD A SURPRISE BIT BY BIT UNFOLD BEFORE MY EYES EVERY DAY. I signed up as I love to see artists as they create. Love your sweet, gentle voice. God bless you as you share with everyone around the world. You're a gift! Love to you and all who watch from a grateful California gramma 😄🌴🌺
Apart from your super smooth voice that explains everything so effortlessly, this video has truly opened my eyes and mind to how colours work. As a beginner with no formal art background, engineer here, these concepts and principles have escaped me until now. Thank you for this excellent video, which I'm sure I'll be going back to again and again. For now, I've made a few notes of a couple of the colours I might try. I might have to make do with paints I have already, as Daniel Smith is quite expensive for me.
Wow… my husband bought these little pans of Windsor Newton years ago when we were newlyweds. I had no idea they were so lovely! I had no confidence back then but over a decade later, I am ready to learn. Thank you, Anna ❤
Thank you :) Those are my favorite projects, although most are not watercolor-based, I work primarily in black / white ink and digital to produce coin designs. But I am keeping the channel mostly watercolor focused to avoid confusion 💖 Happy New Year!

I've much better understanding of watercolour paints through your vlogs in particular this one. I'm going to see if I can get some of the. Many thanks, Anna.
Wonderful colours. I hadn't heard of the QoR range. I have a large collection of Daniel Smith including all the Primatek and iridescents which are amazing. However, recently I also fell in love with the Schmincke Horadam range; most of them are extremely light fast. If only I had your skill I could make better use of them. 😄

That is such a beautiful coin! I’ve always collected specialty coins that are in circulation anytime I come across them, ever since I discovered and fell in love with Alex Colville’s 1967 Centennial collection, many years after it was produced. I hope to come across your stunning cheery blossoms. They are absolutely gorgeous! Congrats on having your art used by the Mint.
Thank you for your favourite list. I have only recently started in watercolour. I have built my favourites on both Winsor and Newton Cotman and Professional single pigment shades. The other brand I adore is MaimeriBlu, their purple and turquoise single pigment shades are just scrumptious. I recently did a painting that was just based on those 2 colours and some watercolour pencil as well. I was so proud when I finished it with some gold flakes as it came out looking how I actually wanted. 4 days of love and care went into it and I didn't care about how much pain I put myself into (I have chronic pain issues as well as a myriad of health issues). When I am feeling a bit more confident I will join skillshare and take your classes.
Thank you so much for sharing your favs! I am now very interested in MaimeriBlu based on your recommendation 😊 Wasn’t able to find it in my art store this week (Toronto is so so when it comes to art supplies, but I’ll check Amazon) sorry to hear about your pain issue - I get it (have arthritis myself but luckily not so bad in my fingers yet) 🙁 I look forward to seeing you on SkillShare! ❤️
Your style of painting is so intricate with perfect blending of colors. My question is about Opera - if you glaze over or mix with another non fugitive pigment, does it become more lightfast? Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I just recently started the channel so it really means a lot! I try to be thorough (unfortunately it means I can't only manage about 1 video/ week...but so happy to hear that people find it informative! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this video and how you use the different colors. I started with M. Graham because that's what my local art store sells. I recently bought a tin of 6 QoR and they are actually fun to play with when you don't know what you want to paint.
Thank you Sara! I used a bit of M. Graham but our local stores tend to focus on W&N and Daniel Smith (only recently Schminke and only a few of them) QOR is definitely great for experimenting - I agree:)))
Hi Anna, Have you tried Winser & Newton Winser Violet, that is a Dioxazine violet pigment also. A (PV23) the same as Qors. I have both and my favorite is Winser Violet (PV23) and Holbein's Permanent Violet (PV23). They just seem to keep more of that brightness after totally dried than my other brands. You are right that they all are a little different in hue. PS, I have Perylene Violet in both Daniel Smith & Winser & Newton. They look identical except the W&N one is a bit more transparent. I use them all the time too for the shadowed areas in my infant portraits. I used a lot on my Cedar Wax Wing painting showing on my icon here.
Love seeing your favourite colours:) Thank you for the video Anna : I have been thinking about getting Quinacridone Coral since you first mentioned it. I do not have a good art store near me but when my friend visits me from Victoria I will ask her to bring me a tube. I have quite few favourites and although most of my paints are Daniel Smith, Winsor Newton and Dr PH Martins I have 2 gorgeous violets from Holbein that I adore! One is their Permanent Violet and the other their Bright Violet. I also love translucent orange by Schminke, a gorgeous vivd orange.
Thank you for the reco's - I MUST try Schminke now and very interested in the Bright Violet you've mentioned (I am still searching for a perfect violet]. Have you tried ordering through Amazon? They must deliver to your area!
Very nice selections! I have most of these already, but you’ve inspired me to try Perylene Violet, specifically for shadows. I have been using Moonglow and Shadow Violet, but like you I don’t care much for granulating colors. This looks perfect!
Thank you so much Jenn 😊 I am so happy to hear this was useful ❤️ Have a wonderful holiday season ! ps: yep granulating colors are fun but not practical when it comes to work projects especially (can’t scan and digitize them well - which means can’t use them much for any commercial work 🤷🏻♀️ but gorgeous to look at and play with wet on wet like the Moonglow you’ve mentioned 💙)
Lovely to watch. I totally agree with your Quin Coral, by DS. W&N has the same pigment called Quinacridone Red. The one I use most is from Holbein. I have no problem having black pigments. I just mix into it any other pigment and its not actually black anymore. But it's so handy having Indigos and Paynes Grays premixed. I use tube W&N alot and have a few W&N pans too. They are slightly different formulas. The tubes when dry to not disperse as quickly as their pans. But an expert from W&N said that just a few drops of glycerin in the Winser & Newton tube paint is exactly how their pan's are formulated. It just has more glycerin. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you Renee - completely agree on mixing blacks. ❤️ I used to do that all the time, and when i do full comprehensive tutorials in SkillSHare I always mention that you can simply mix your blacks so people don't feel pressured to buy exactly the same colors in order to get the results. W&N tubes are most definitely not the same, we only have them in tubes, so I finally brought some pans from Spain! :))) Have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to seeing you on YT in 2020!
Your paintings are beautiful. So glad you came up on my feed. New subscriber to your channel. Just now learning how to use watercolors. Thanks for this information.
This was such a pleasure to watch and listen to you. Since the new year I’ve gotten busy and haven’t had much time to paint and this really inspired me to paint today. Thank you for sharing!!
The ones I create are collectable limited mintage featuring stones, glass, sometimes diamonds... not really circulation coins but rather expensive unique gifts / collectable items 😁
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. These colors are exactly what I need to round out what I have in my pallet now. I also have been searching for "a Look" that speaks to my heart and soul. I cannot wait to get my hands on these colors. QUESTION: When you were talking about Winsor Blue Green Shade, you mentioned other paint brands call their's Phthalo Blue. Do you mean Phthalo Blue Green Shade or just Phthalo Blue?
One color i think i am going to go get is maybe a cobalt teal because i love the bright colors, bright opera is my all time favorite, while i have a lime green, and also a lot of yellows that i work with. Blue is definitley not my favorite color, but mijello mission gold’s peacock blue is nice, but i just need that cobalt!,!your art and video are so pretty, and i love your work
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️Glad you enjoyed it (sorry about your pockets - maybe you can put some on your holiday wish list? That’s what I do every year 😊😊😊)
Just found this! lol You should include all your amazon paint links to every video you make, just in case newbies to your channel (like me!) miss this video. 💜🤣
Wonderful video. I happened to just see on Jane Blundell's blog that in her own lightfastness tests, Daniel Smith Opera did not fade in 19 months of Australian sun. I heard someone else say that Opera faded in a day in the window, but I don't know what brand. Perhaps it really varies by brand.
Thank you so much for your comment Jenn - I am actually really happy to hear this, I trust Jane's expertise. Personally I haven't seen fading from this pigment in DS and WN version, and I've been painting for about 10 years. That said, I am always hesitant to straight up recommend it, because 1) can't control which brands people use 2) how the hang the work and more importantly 3) I've gotten SO MUCH flack early on in my RUclips experience for simply mentioning it, I am a bit scarred by the experience lol :) My goal is to provide balanced information with real demos, so hopefully artists can make up their mind, knowing it *might* fade. Thank you!!
You may not see this, but I just "found' you and immediately subscribed. I don't paint florals (too many talented artists can do it so well) but enjoy your advice on birds and other subjects. explanation of the pigments was outstanding, and an updated version would be most welcome. My only wee suggestion would be to list the pigment numbers, as that is how I label them on my palette.
I saw your comment Joy! Thank you and welcome to the channel 👋❤️ you are 100% correct on the pigment numbers - This was one of my earlier videos and I’ve learned since then to always try and include them (as a Canadian I was under a false impression that only 3 brands of Watercolor exist and names would be enough but now I know better 😜
@@AnnaBucciarelli You (and other RUclips artists) are such a treasure to the art world for sharing your gifts! I neglected to mention my surname is Ukrainian, originally ending in "j". I have a very vague memory of doing pysanky eggs as a child, and I think they may have been duck's eggs. Paraffin was melted and applied as a resist with a nail.
You’re amazing! Love your painting, it’s absolutely spectacular! Thank you for all information, you’ve a new subscriber 😃 Will definitely use your tutorial and wait for more 🥰💕💐
Thanks to Anna I've discovered one of my new favourite pigments! QOR quinacridone magenta.I too love working in vivid colours and this magenta has such great staining properties.
Wow, so interesting, thank you for sharing your favourites! They’re very different from my own choices despite similarities in subjects and a love for vibrant colours! I do share your love of Perylene violet
Thank you Lee! 💖 It all depends on the style right? What are top your favourites? I checked out your channel and I see you are using a lot of earthy greens and blues.I love your plain-air videos 💖💖💖
Anna Bucciarelli I love playing with earthy greens but they wouldn’t make my top 10. For basic mixing I use nickel Azo yellow(PY150), Quinacridones Magenta (PR122) and phthalo Turquoise (PB16) for a CMY triad. Then I add (mostly complementary) colours like transparent orange (PO71 or PO107), phthalo green (PG7 or PG36) and Indanthrone Blue (PB60). Perylene Green and Perylene violet round out my basic 8 and the last 2 are something just for fun like cobalt teal ;)
just found your channel and really enjoy your video!! thanks so much for being so informative and illustrating how you work with each of these colors!! really beautiful work !
aaahhhhh Jacklyn we think alike - never to much red and pinks!! ❤️ You probably noticed my red palette is the biggest :))) Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday!
I don’t fully understand about your use of the fugitive colour Opera pink. When used as a base, are you saying that fading won’t matter because of what you paint on subsequent layers? And also, doesn’t it matter that a fugitive is used as a mixing colour? Do these principles apply to other fugitives like Alizarin or moo glow ? Thank you so much for your teaching. As a beginner it is refreshing to understand how another artist uses colour.
I have only recently discovered your videos and love your work. I wonder if you use Daniel Smith Moonglow and what you think of it? I realise you may cover this in a previous video. If so, my apologies for missing it.
Welcome to the channel! I haven’t used Moonglow specifically but something very similar called Tundra Violet from Schminke 😊 these super granulating pigments are a lot of fun (from both brands). I have a video here with vegetables where I apply it on the background, and another one with a sealion sitting on a rock. It’s really great for texture!
Does your ultra marine color really contain ultra marine pigments or is it just a matching hue? I am confused bc ultramarine is normally a rather granulating color. Perylene violet and indigo are my faves! Have them from white nights ❤
This is very interesting. Looking up the pigments, all but 2 are also available by Winsor and Newton, although their formula might be a bit different. Still, I’m in the U.K. and trying to reduce what I buy that’s flown over from further away. I’ve been looking into Sennelier and Schmincke for that too, though. It’s interesting to compare prices and the descriptions of the formula they each use.
Thank you for your feedback! ❤️ I am 100% with you on ordering overseas which is why I stocked up on my recent trip to Europe (that's where my W&N pans come from - we don't have these in Toronto). Yes, most would be available by W&N i just don't like their formula in the tubes and alas this is all we have here... I am looking into Sennelier and Schmincke and will likely get myself some greens - I need more greens:) and I want to try these two brands (i've heard good things, particularly Schmincke which recently became available in our stores. Will definitely review in 2020. Have a wonderful holiday! ❤️❤️❤️
You can get the exact same pigment in Holbein and Winser & Newton Artist grade. Just look for pigment number (PR209). It's very comparable in quality and hue in all professional artist brands who make it.
Thank you Renee - this is a great suggestion 💖 And yes, Daniel Smith is unfortunately very pricey in Canada.... I am thinking about buying a few new greens but don't want to make my wallet cry especially after the holidays 💖 Happy [almost] New Year
Dear Anna I am a complete beginner, is there a particular water color set you recommend for a beginner instead of different brands on different colors?
Newby over here 😁 opera is my favourite too, it breaks my heart knowing it's a fugitive colour. I've searched so many brands and they're all the same! Your work is so beyond beautiful, really looking forward to watching more of your videos xxx
Thank you Emma! 💖 I know, its a bummer but I still use it especially for personal / commercial work [not so much for commissions] - I think it used to be a bigger issue back in the day, but now everything can be digitized our paintings will remain vibrant after scanning / photographing...plus - its all about enjoying the process - and opera pink makes the painting process just so much more enjoyable, right? 💖 xoxo Have a great holiday season!
Yes those fluorescent dyes in the paint really make them amazing. But take heart because if its made with PR122 with that PV dye, at least the PR122 will be left because it is quite lightfast according to HANDPRINT dot com. That is why I use pure PR122 for my brightest pinks. It's the best alternative.
Thank you Francoise! I am so happy you found this interesting and I will definitely plan to share more details about my red-green-purple-blue pigment collections in the new year 💖💖💖 Happy holidays and I hope to see you here in the new year:)
Yes I definitely use Payne’s gray, but have a small sample from WN, and a full tube from QOR. I like their version instead of WN because I like their flow better. WN is always top quality tho! 👌
Your WN Ultramarine is not French Ultramarine because that would be a granulating color. I can’t find a color of WN Ultramarine by itself without the “French” in its name. Any help would be so appreciated because the color on your swatch looks amazing!! ❤😍
Sorry - i didn't include this info...It should have said "excellent". It was an error on my end - I couldn't find the specific number at the time of editing the video, and didn't want to guess. 💖 Of course - silly me - it's easily available online: danielsmith.com/perylene-violet-15ml-tube-daniel-smith-extra-fine-watercolor/
Hi Jacklyn :) Yes! I use these to protect the paper. I work a lot digitally and that's how I "discovered" these smudge guards. They are made for iPad / Tablet designers but I find they work amazing for traditional painting. You can get them for left-handed artists too. My favorite is Laughing Paw: amzn.to/2LLqcyC
Which of the WN Ultramarines is this? They have two different ultramarines. Is it French Ultramarine or Ultramarine Green Shade? There is not one called Winsor Ultramarinen
This is an old video… I don’t think it was French U, just regular. I think you may be referring to Winsor Blue Green Shade - that is not ultramarine, it’s Phthalo Blue; I actually prefer it these days as it’s not granulating 😊
@@AnnaBucciarelliThank you for answering. Im not referring to phthalo blue g s. If you look at a chart of WN watercolours, they have two versions of ultramarine. I have both of them. The green shade is not granulating like the other one. I know the range very well and have used them for many years.
You are absolutely right - it was HUGE mistake on my part and was pointed out already...I corrected it in subsequent videos.... But unfortunately have no idea how to edit this existing video ☹ And I feel awful about it....If you have any ideas how to make a correction - please let me know!

Yes, MaimeriBlu, is fantastic artist quality paint! I have some of them.
Your style of painting is so intricate with perfect blending of colors. My question is about Opera - if you glaze over or mix with another non fugitive pigment, does it become more lightfast? Thank you.
So useful and generous tips! Thank you Anna ❤

Your review was so thorough in terms of the functionality of each color. Thank you so, so much for sharing this!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I just recently started the channel so it really means a lot! I try to be thorough (unfortunately it means I can't only manage about 1 video/ week...but so happy to hear that people find it informative! ❤️❤️❤️
Sensational work. The colors blew me away. DS Quinacridone Coral is one of my favorites too. I took you up on the Hansa. I'll get it on Friday. ☺️
Thanks for the info. I ought to use what I have, but I will definitely keep these in mind when I am ready try some new paints.
Sherry Woods enjoy! ❤️ try Quin Coral for sure when you have a chance 😊
This information is so helpful!! Thank you. I love your work! So beautiful!!
Thank you ! 😊😊😊 your comments made my day 💜
Love this video and how you use the different colors.
Thank you for such beautiful tutorials!
Thank you so much! I watch all your videos since I found your channel. I love to know the in-depth analysis of each color/brand. 💞
Excellent. So lovely colours. I will maintain this❤❤❤
Your paintings are beautiful. So glad you came up on my feed. New subscriber to your channel. Just now learning how to use watercolors. Thanks for this information.
Thank you Pam, for taking the time to leave a comment 💖 Happy Holidays and will see you here in 2020 💖💖💖
Fantastic painting and great information thank you so much
Thank you Navin 💖
Is that a sleeve on your right hand pinky finger - to prevent hand oils from contaminating your paper? Fantastic idea!
That’s exactly what it is 😊😊😊 thank you!!
This was such a pleasure to watch and listen to you. Since the new year I’ve gotten busy and haven’t had much time to paint and this really inspired me to paint today. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you Reem! Hope you are finding more time to paint this year - Have a great day! :)
Absolutely beautiful colours…love your work 😀
Thank you Gordon! 😊💜
Wow! Again a perfect tutorial! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome! :))) Have a wonderful weekend!
Woa. I never seen coloured Canadian coins before actually.
Blue is definitley not my favorite color, but mijello mission gold’s peacock blue is nice, but i just need that cobalt!,!your art and video are so pretty, and i love your work
I agree Hansa is MORE ORANGE! I’m not sure where people get perfect yellow 😂❤ Best class thank you
What a wonderful video, love your thorough descriptions on each colors and how you use them. My pockets are screaming right now!
You have such a pleasant voice ♥️
You’re amazing! Love your painting, it’s absolutely spectacular! Thank you for all information, you’ve a new subscriber 😃
Will definitely use your tutorial and wait for more 🥰💕💐
Thank you for the pigment review! So helpful!
Thank you Melanie 💜😊
Thanks to Anna I've discovered one of my new favourite pigments! QOR quinacridone magenta.I too love working in vivid colours and this magenta has such great staining properties.
Oh that's so wonderful! Enjoy! and I hope you are well and safe during these crazy times ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment - so glad to hear you enjoyed it! Happy. Holidays and I'll see you here in 2020 💖
Loved this video. Thank you
The colors are intoxicating, like your voice. You could do late night talk radio.
Awww thank you so much 🩵 English is not my first (or even 2nd language) and I get quite self conscious about speaking so your feedback means a lot 😊
I love this. Thank you.
Do you have an opinion on Schminke colors?:)
I'm going to get the quinacridone coral. I too paint vibrant botanicals and one can't never have too many reds and pinks.
aaahhhhh Jacklyn we think alike - never to much red and pinks!!
Your art are so beautiful! The subject do you sketch it or use projector?
Wow! Great tips with explicit explanations. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! 💖💖💖
Your art is so stunning ❤😊
Thank you so much 😀
Fabulous 🙏🏼 thank you for sharing
Thank you Marianne! 💜
I love Winsor & Newton! Have you tried Rembrandt? That's my favourite brand so far.
Oh my! You pay so much for daniel smith in Canada! I love the quin coral as well!
I am thinking about buying a few new greens but don't want to make my wallet cry especially after the holidays 💖 Happy [almost] New Year
Love this! So helpful!
💗
Have you completed a painting using these colors exclusively? If so, which video? Thank you for sharing your passion for art!
New subbie here. Just found your channel. Loving it ! Now I get to binge watch .Yaaayy !
Thank you so much Susie ❤️ So happy to know these are helpful and enjoyable! Have a wonderful holiday and I'll see you here in 2020!!!
Dear Anna
I am a complete beginner, is there a particular water color set you recommend for a beginner instead of different brands on different colors?
So useful
@@AnnaBucciarelli very true xxx
Daniel smith rhodinite genuine is a decent sub for opera. Not quite the same, but great lightfastness.
@@glorioskiola great, thank you. Will give it a try xxx
What brushes are you using? And or prefer?
I am curious as to why you buy and use Windsor & Newton watercolours in pans and not from tubes like you do for other brands.
Good question. I generally dislike pans, but W&N tubes are very VERY expensive in Canada. I bought several pans when I was in Spain last year:)
Please show us more of your palette thank you
Thank you Francoise! I am so happy you found this interesting and I will definitely plan to share more details about my red-green-purple-blue pigment collections in the new year 💖💖💖 Happy holidays and I hope to see you here in the new year:)
Thank you for this video it was great!
You are so welcome! Thank you and Enjoy :)
Winsor red deep is pyrrol crimson in daniel smith paints.
Thank you! I didn't know that :)
brilliant!
Thank you for this video! Well-done, and your voice so calming. What can you say about W and N Payne’s Gray? Do you use it too?
Yes I definitely use Payne’s gray, but have a small sample from WN, and a full tube from QOR. I like their version instead of WN because I like their flow better. WN is always top quality tho! 👌
@@AnnaBucciarelli Thank you for your reply, Anna! I’m your subscriber. You are so generous with your talent.
@@cheerp7313 thank you for your support! ❤️❤️❤️
Your WN Ultramarine is not French Ultramarine because that would be a granulating color. I can’t find a color of WN Ultramarine by itself without the “French” in its name. Any help would be so appreciated because the color on your swatch looks amazing!! ❤😍
Also, I don’t see a link for it in the video description. Thank you Anna! 💕😃
Thankyou for doing this. Can you explain why the perylene violet has lightfastness n/a.
When you said Winsor & Newton Ultramarine, did you mean their French Ultramarine (263)?
I noticed that you wear something on your hand. Is that to prevent transferring oils from your hand on to the paper?
Hi Jacklyn :) Yes! I use these to protect the paper. I work a lot digitally and that's how I "discovered" these smudge guards. They are made for iPad / Tablet designers but I find they work amazing for traditional painting. You can get them for left-handed artists too. My favorite is Laughing Paw: amzn.to/2LLqcyC
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support 😊💜💜💜
You listed that the ultramarine was non-granulating but pigment pb29 is considered one of the most granulating colours?
You are absolutely right - it was HUGE mistake on my part and was pointed out already...I corrected it in subsequent videos.... But unfortunately have no idea how to edit this existing video ☹ And I feel awful about it....If you have any ideas how to make a correction - please let me know!
Do you have a class on painting the peony?
Hi Elizabeth! I posted a yellow peony video 2 weeks ago here on youtube: ruclips.net/video/u1JpHvjowDQ/видео.html
It's a quick tutorial focusing on 3 techniques, but I will have a full class on pink peony in real-time [about 2 hours] coming up on my SkillShare channel in February. ❤️
