Gosto muito também do trabalho dele em 2017 no Psycosis do Cavalera Conspiracy. Ouço direto esse album. RIZZO Sta muito inspirado nas composições, voz do Max muito bem gravada e mixada
Exatamente o que eu estava pensando, já entra a questão da criatividade., muitos ganham habilidade extrema em um instrumento mas não conseguem ter uma originalidade.

The year is 1993. A 13 year old boy is in his room playing a BC Rich Warlock guitar plugged into a Marshall Valvestate guitar amp, and wearing a Sepultura hoodie his grandmother bought him in Glasgow. Thanks Iggor for reminding me how fantastic life was back in the 90’s.
While u were doing that, I was in US playing beneath the remains through my bass players peavey amp and trying to stick with the double bass work on drums.

I dated this girl a number of years ago who was younger than me so missed Sepultura. She was a drummer. I played the drum tracks from Arise and she said he is using a click track. I said no sweetie that's raw talent.@@inedenimadam

The addition of the Samba elements on Chaos AD was a marked step as the band started pivoting towards their Roots. I remember when this first came out, it kind of confused us because it started to sound so different compared to the historical Death/Trash that we were used to from Sepultura. However, I remember listening to this album almost every day, and after seeing the band again live again they played this new stuff: it hit me and I internalized how awesome this new element was.

Man i cant believe to this day i could just type a message to you that you could read!! Your playing Mr Cavalera, inspired me so much right from the start, its awesome to see you still thrash the shit outta your kit, i was like 13 when i watched live in barcelona and heared beneth the remains and arise. now i am 40 yrs old and it still carries all the enjoyment it did back then. Hearing those songs recorded is so much better than today, when you had to play it good from start to finish, nowadays you can punch in whatever or dont evwen have to really be able to play it, its all gone fake. but whaqt you did, and what inspired me to record and what i ended up doing was having to play it good all in one shot, or maybe if the money was there, the best of maybe three tracks, and the best went on the album. Thank you for all the inspiration. I am enjoying the episodes and look forward to the next one!!!!

iggor has to be my favorite metal drummer of all time, i love that tribal sound he incorporated into metal drumming, it works so well and is a completely original sound.
Was always the Cavaleras for me. Sepultura was never the same without them.

It was never the same, it's true.
But that being said, their latest album, Quadra, is absolutely brillant in my opinion. One of the best metal album released that year.
And the previous one is also great (Machine Messiah).

Shouldn't even be called Sepultura without them tbh. It'd be like Metallica without James and Lars.
And Calaveras never was the same without Paulo and Andreas

Chaos AD is still hands down one of the best metal albums of all time. The apex of classic Sepultura. This was the culmination of all of the hard work they did and no one else sounded like them on this album. Refuse/Resist….still relevant.

I must say to this day he is often imitated but never duplicated. The one and only Brazilian powerhouse. Everybody else is a follower. Eloy Casagrande and Aquieles Priester are Great drummers but... This man started that shit!!!
The drumming and sound of drums on Chaos A.D. still hold gravitas today, Iggor is drumming gravitas.
Nos meus 18 anos tinha uma banda que o baterista queria tocar igual você, Igor. Num ensaio, no meio de uma das músicas sinto um vento passar na frente do meu nariz e aquele vulto. Era a metade de uma baqueta do baterista que tinha quebrado e quase me acertado no rosto. Virei para o baterista e ele tava olhando assustado pra metade da baqueta que ainda tava na mão dele. Bons tempos haahaha
Awesome stuff, you have been a massive influence on me since I first heard Arise as a kid. I’m 41 now and play drums in a metal band and you still continue to influence me to this day. Keep up the top work on this channel.

Igor, I just want you to know that back in the 80's Sepultura's 'Schizophrenia' was a cult release in Poland. There were no legal rights back then. They just broadcast it on the radio. Everything was copied on tapes. I took up the guitar back then. There were 'Sepultura's graffiti all around the walls of even small cities! When my friends and I got Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation, we stood up on the bed and pretended we were you, playing the guitars ! We used to try and read your and Max's addresses in Belo Horizonte to write you:)

1994. Bringing very good old memories. Chaos A.D. and Arise were my favourite albums and Sepultura was my favourite band at that time. I would wear my white tee with a hand painted Sepultura S-logo. Thank you Igor for your wonderful music. Long live heavy metal!

Been a fan since Beneath the Remains!🤘I remember listening to the cassette on my Walkman mowing grass at 15 and I had to stop to rewind and listen to Inner Self because I was blown away and still jam it to this day .I have requested it to some YT drummers ,but they haven’t done it ...they can’t handle that song and wouldn’t be the same after even if they tried.Iggor you are a legend 🥁!!

Chaos A.D. was the first record I put on a turntable, sat back and listened to 4 or 5 tracks carefully. Then, I thought to myself "Wow, this is my first favorite band. And these guys are Brazilians. I love them even more. I'm fucking proud of being Brazilian." Thanks, Sepultura.

Holy shit man. I can't believe you did this one. This song is what made me want to experiment with different sounds back in 98 when I first heard it. My band hated me back then lol. I was taking my toms all over the scales trying to find tunings that would be dynamic and different. Thank you for your explanation on your salsa background. It makes so much sense now. To this day one of my favorite albums of all time.
