He's not doing a lot of the little fills the same as he used to. As one of my biggest influences as a metal drummer...I can hear every tiny intricacy in my head. But, he still sounds great. But...seeing the Cavalera brothers perform together in Charlotte, NC, a couple years ago...was like a dream. I literally cried. So happy to see them doing shows like this.

Well, the "real" Sepultura (if we talk about the persons who made this band famous and involved in Sepultura best albums) are Max, Igor, Andreas and Paulo Jr. ... it's not just the Cavalera bros or just Andreas, Paulo Jr....ALL TOGETHER were the REAL Sepultura.
Was fortunate enough to have witnessed the original SEP a few times, but SEPULTURA in their prime for the CHAOS A.D. tour opening for none other than PANTERA ,on the FAR BEYOND DRIVIN TOUR , Prong opened the show , Outdoors @ portland meadows in portland oregon ....one of the best shows ive been to and ive been to a few...🤘🤘🤘
Saw them on the Chaos AD tour in the UK, but Sepultura were headlining the tour (UK band Paradise Lost were supporting, touring their Icon album) and it was a fantastic gig!!
To me those 80s Sep records are still the epitome of extreme. To top it off Iggor always played that sht at 2x speed live, total blitzkrieg fkn dbz mayhem. They still got it to this day..
How is Igor Cavalera the "most underrated drummer ever"? You need to stop with such insane comments. He is well known for his style and respected in the whole metal community. Just that is a proof he is not underrated. There are also many people who started to play drums because of him, his influence.
@MLCrow i read a lot of metal and Igor just doesn't get mentioned as often as he should. Thats why i feel he is underrated. Seen him perform many times. Timing is impeccable

Esse cara foi meu herói da bateria por muitos anos. Aprendi a tocar bateria inspirado nele. Mas acho que o tempo dele como baterista de metal passou. Não lembra em nada do Igor de 1989-2000. Talvez ele deva focar mesmo é naquela barulheira eletrônica que ele tem feito ultimamente, combina mais com estilo atual dele de tocar bateria.
Vida longa a esse cara que me fez gostar tanto de bateria! O cara pode nao ter o mesmo desempenho (eu com 40 não consigo fazer várias coisas com facilidade que fazia aos 20) imagine eles, mas eles tem uma parada fudida que se chama essência! O Eloy e outros que já vimos por aí tocam melhor ou de forma diferente, inclusive eu no meu canal ta la pra quem quiser ver na sem áudio de fundo, somente a batera, mas o CRIADOR que merece nossa atenção
O problema e que não deve ser cuidar, pois vemos que idade para muitos e detalhe, Tommy aldrigde passou dos 70 e toca cono se tivesse vinte e um show a parte entre outros, Mickey Dee e mais velho que o Igor e arrebenta, Pete Sandoval e questão de se cuidar, Igor deve gostar e de muita pururuca aí não dá né, mas tá dando conta ainda.
