Am I the only one who excited for Monday vids, but yet sad when they are done full on knowing there is at least one more week? Once in awhile I think I have a Puddind Fab Shop with drawl lol
Puddin I just wanted to say a buddy of mine showed me your channel around February of this year. YOU were the one who inspired me to go start wrenching on my 81 stepside and get it going, now as of spring I will have it LS swapped and will be my daily driver as of next spring/summer. I just wanted to say I appreciate you man.
You're the hometown hero now with your picture in the paper and everything. Next thing you know they'll put up a sign at the city limit that says "Home of Puddin's Fab Shop" 😎👍
Keep on keepin’ on! Got my tshirts and stickers in over the weekend! Thank you sir. And here I am, sittin’ on my ass, not finishing my project, because there’s a new episode to watch.
Good job and good deal on the IH, Puddin. Those old IH’s are built like tractors. The older ones were hard to beat a dent in the fender with a hammer. Clutches, pressure plates, brake drums and shoes are heavier built than most trucks that age. It’s a keeper.
Dang Skippy I cannot believe that truck fired up and ran that well that is amazing can't wait to see if and it moves that would be so cool love the channel thank you very much for the content
Puddin, that International is a good-looking truck! I'd love to have that one. I couldn't believe it when you got her running! Good job dude! And the fact she still had spark too! Yup, 59 was a good year cause that's the year the doctor slapped my mom for having me! lol !! Well, I'm up to the part when you rebuilt the carb.....I'll let you know what happens next!
Blown away that this engine managed to stay this strong sounding after all these years especially in the state it was in!! I’m sure you already did, but please hang onto that propane contraption. Would actually be kick ass to see that function again as well, but gotta be pretty rare parts regardless.
You make my Mondays. That old rig actually runs pretty good. Looking forward to you freeing up the wheels and taking her for a drive. Always enjoy your videos and your humor thanks for sharing
I like the front of these trucks, we only got the 6 cylinders here in Australia, those twin headlights got used on a lot of customised cars. When you finally get around to selling your merchandise internationally, your gonna have to get a shed the size of your new shop to hold it all, your family will be busy, busy, busy!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome video sir, that front end is my favorite of the International trucks. Great sounding engine, great patina and props to you and yours for making the local news.
This rare one is a definite keeper, reviver and driver, she's got a good set of lungs and she don't smoke. All this cool truck needs a few whiskey dents knocked out, a few Mexican blankets, add 1 gallon of sweet patina sauce and she's ready for the dance. . The front grill and headlights are cool, makes the truck stand out, the right wheels and tires, bagged this would look sick. I'm hoping you can free up all the wheels, I can't wait to see this old girl going mobile. Love all the extras / videos Puddin, I look forward to all of them especially this truck, would like to see more of it, keep up the great content.
Hey Puddin, I felt I should share this info with you after watching you trying to tug your tuck off the trailer. That would have been the way I did it until I watched this video from Colorado 4X4 Rescue and Recovery RUclips channel. The video is titled “Breaking Down The Fatal Arizona Off-Road Recovery.” It made me think about doing things a little safer and smarter not just for me but for the family too! Love Ya Brother keep up the good Content! 👍😎
Like I always say this man's channel should have 5 million subs. The whole I thought we might have to do a will it run on the pressure washer made me spit out my dinner I laughed so hard please tell me one day maybe on the scrap channel will do what like a will it run on the pressure washer or a tune-up on the pressure washer it's been such a pivotal roll in this channel you have to do something special for the pressure washer anyway man great content you always cheer up everybody's day on a Monday when your videos drop keep up the good work hope you and the family are doing well and God bless
You are such a uniquely intelligent person and mix that with the backwoods ingenuity and humor, there’s nobody else like you in this world nowadays especially doing what you do with such positivity??!!! You’re awesome buddy in every way and I would tune in if you were working on a dang Tesla and I hate em!! I’m searching for a barn find around Kentucky worth draggin you out here- some day!
We still have that exact propane system on several trucks. Tank feeds liquid to the vaporizer. Vaporizer feeds the carb. If it's setup to run on both fuels, there should be a fuel lock on it somewhere, and a fuel switch inside. .
Man o man, I am in love with that 59.. What a sweet truck she is..You worked your magic and brought the old girl back to life, She is just a few years younger than me, but sound like a racer..
In case you wanted to know the thing that was on top of the carb was called the mixer (think like a carb for propane) the thing on the fender is called a atomizer (turns the liquid propane (aka lpg) into a gas) propane systems are simple and don't really fail as long as they are sealed and all the gaskets are in good shape
She DEFINITELY deserves another week of attention. Your patented power washing, engine flush, oil change, de-turdification, tranny check, rollers, brake resuscitation (on the cheap!) and patina polish will have her bagged and tagged! GO FOR IT!!!
I think you should check in to the propane. You will be amazed how clean it will keep the oil and reduces engine wear. Gives a bet less HP. I don't know about current price per mile vs gas price use to be cheaper back in the 1980's I remember running out of fuel early one morning about 30 miles out of town and was able to still drive it back to fill it up, due to the days heat warming up the prone tank.
hey PFS. I figure that tanks certified use expired in the 80s per the sticker. the tanks have to be certified to be used ever so often per state or county law. those older ones do work well but you have to fab parts for them as most older nat gas swap kits don't have replacement parts for sale. I bet that tank is still good for an air compressor, have fun...
To see exactly which engine you have, look for the engine s/n stamped on the block near the distributor. The first 3 digits are the engine size. My family had a 1961 B160 schoolbus Dad converted into a camper. It had a 304, and after Dad installed a high speed 2 speed axle, it would easily run 70 mph down the highway. Hopefully your thermostat is still good. IHC used a barrel type thermostat that is hard to find. A regular thermostat will work, but the water won't circulate in the block when the thermostat is closed unless you are running water through the heater or the heater core is bypassed. Keep up the good work and be sure to remove your trailer hitch balls!
You know Puddin I couldn’t help But notice the ole Towrola was struggling a little pulling that truck off the trailer and It gave me an idea maybe it’s time for an evolution into the turborola! hell you might end up with a damned ole race car on your hands but we all know mama didn’t raise no punk!
I was going to let you know normally yes it did operate off both ran off propane and then if you would run out of propane you could just switch it back to gas
And the front push bars where they are chromed we're polished at one point and have the grooves towards the end makes me think they were probably originally a set of custom bars used for alot of the bsa and other British made motorcycles for foot peg bars, and I know that they have them similar to this because my dad when I was growing up I was probably 12-14 he had a 67 triumph tr6, and a 66triumph tr6 Bonneville that one had a factory raked type stance to how it sat on the ground cool bikes in my opinion.
I want to take a moment to be serious, l live in Florida and after hurricane Ian, last week l have been feeling kinda down, l watched two shows back to back and laughed so much l am so thankful for his shows they deserve a gold medal for putting people in a great mood
Awesome truck and video. For the rust in the coolant system, me and my roommate used that Evaporust Thermocure stuff in a chevy that definitely wasn't that bad but damn if it didn't work like a charm. We did the mix, albeit a little heavier than the instructions said, and ran it in there for about a week but it's no longer rusted and flushes clear instead of chocolate milk. It's been good for the past year and doesn't seem to have rusted again. It's about $30 a jug but in our case it worked amazing.
Great job there Puddin, that truck fired right up, I think the way the natural gas system worked is you start on regular gasoline and then switch over to NG
I was amazed that the Delco distributor design went back to the 50's. I thought that was early 70's before the HEI. Those rotors are notorious for burning holes near the middle. This project truck could also be good to investigate the propane conversion. Well if the parts there are still any good. The natural gas regulator probably has a propane kit installed. I suspect something like gas appliances use to convert over to propane.
Aloha Puddin, I gotta give it to you. Working by yourself can get frustrating. However we have a lot incommon. I narrate to myself 'cept I'm not making a video. Congratulations on your get er done. Stay safe 🙏
When International stopped making trucks it broke the hearts of old guys all over Texas where I grew up, this old nugget shows why. Long live Intersmashonal
using a grinder to clean the spark plugs reminds me of when me and my dad and uncle did that to our 1987 Subaru gl we pulled out of my uncles field. Car had a bad timing belt and smashed windshield and was full of trash among other problems like the brakes and exhaust being shot but we had a parts car, a white 1987 Subaru gl we just retired due to rust and a failing transmission
Hey Puddin and family ! What a great job on this truck! I know you really like too bag and lower all of your Riggs but I think it would be really cool if you left this one at factory height and just put some cool new shoes on her and show just how darn good the factory made them and how useful they were! I know I will love what ever you choose to do with the old girl , but it sure would be nice to see one with only a very few mods done too it just for the sake of drivability and safety ! Thanks as always for all you do, and God bless you and your family

Fantastic find. Gosh I'm jealous. I'd love to have that ole truck or one like it. Wow
Definitely need to put in the fleet as a runner and driver.
