At Works & Process at the Guggenheim, on October 16, 2016, MCC Theater presented excerpts from Ride the Cyclone before the New York premiere of the musical described as “quirky, bizarre, emotionally hefty and rather tantalizing” by the Chicago Tribune and “unceasingly delightful” by the New York Times. Meet the six teenagers whose lives are interrupted aboard a tragic roller coaster ride that promises a prize like no other. Creators Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell joined director Rachel Rockwell for a discussion and excerpts were performed.
