      I worked with a guy who was between 2/3 to 3/4 Mohawk Iroquois, lived on the Reservation, and almost every single day I came into work he would tell me "never date Native women, you'll do yourself a favor, they're f*cking crazy"

    Tunisia is among the very first countries to abolish slavery. At the time, Tunisia and the US had (and still have) a great relationship since Tunisia was the first country to recognize the US (later on Tunisia was colonized by France and the US became the first country to recognize Tunisia after independence). There's a quote by someone close to Lincoln saying how Tunisia abolishing slavery helps their case.

      The first country to recognize the USA is Morocco. C'mon, man! Morocco was the first country to let the USA ships off the hook from paying bribes to let their ships cross the ocean without being attacked by Moroccan corsairs. Tunisia, at that time, was under Ottoman rule.

    When Columbus said they would make good slaves, he meant peasants. Translation issues.

      They would make good 'peasants' makes no sense

    • @eno6712
      @eno6712 6 месяцев назад

      @mlenzi5476 because peasants only live because their lord allows them to live on their land. They are governed by the lord law, the lord bends his knee to the king.
      It's a feudal system, they are essentially slaves but semi-voluntay (varies between lords kings , country standards and even individuals because it's a ... feudal society).

    in Italian Columbus wrote “they will make good Christians”
    Then in Spanish translation it was “they will make good servants of god”
    But in English it was translated to “they will make good slaves”
    It was Anglo Protestant propaganda

      Source? Usually the beast of Rome commits acts like this. For example, the Jesuit artistic depictions of King James I as an effeminate mommas boy, even though he was separated from his mom at a very young age and all historical accounts show that he had zero effeminate traits.

      “we grant to you…full and free permission to invade, search out, capture and subjugate the Saracens and pagans and any other unbelievers and enemies of Christ…to reduce their persons into perpetual slavery”- “to invade, search out, capture, vanquish, and subdue all Saracens, and other enemies of Christ wheresoever placed, and the kingdoms, dukedoms, principalities, dominions, possessions, and all movable and immovable goods whatsoever held and possessed by them and to reduce their persons to perpetual slavery, and to apply and appropriate to himself and his successors the kingdoms, dukedoms, counties, principalities, dominions, possessions, and goods, and to convert them to his and their use and profit…”
      -Pope Nicholas V, Dum Diversas…
      I could pull up stuff on Columbus as well if I wanted, but it all ties back to the beast of Rome in the end.
