It was an 1:40 and honestly felt overstuffed. There isn't much in the way of theory, it was mostly trying to piece the woman's life together before and how it effected the family. But what struck me while watching it is how the story has become all about her. The seven other people are almost an afterthought. Nobody is making, nor would watch a documentary about the lives of all those people. And I think coming to that realization made me really sad.
My mom had a brain tumor and it turned her into like a stepford wife for years. She was a whack job all wide eyed, I thought my step dad was abusing her, he sucks but that wasn’t the case. She got it removed and it was like meeting my mom from 20 years ago. Fucking crazy.
Sorry you went through that for that for such a long time period, but I'm glad you got your mum back. Wild how something so small in our brain can change every single function about us. This doc always interested me. I think that some of the family members just didn't want to admit Diane was drunk, but who knows. Abscess tooth is an interesting theory, though. I got an infection after being bit by a dog. Got a T shot and antibiotics, but it still got infected. It was so painful, stressful and irritating that I was in an erratic mood, so who knows.
I just saw a YT short of a 911 call recording. Guy calls in freaking tf out, says "i just killed my mom and cousin". When the operator asks why he seems confused as he clearly didnt know why, and says "I dont know i just lost my mind and shot them with my .308 rifle. She was hammered. The family was grasping for straws, throwing any theory they could think of at the wall to see what would stick. At the end of the documentary, you find out she was plastered and they still didn’t want to believe it.
It is weird though she didn’t read as hammered to anyone who encountered her on the few stops, except that one couple who said she was driving erratically and looked sick. My read is basically the same as the two experts at the end: it’s possible the abscessed tooth caused some sort of medical issue which she tried to quickly medicate with alcohol and pot, and it just tipped her over the edge and she just kept drinking and it all hit her at once while driving. An abscessed tooth is actually a serious medical emergency and the fact she left it on the back burner for two years? Pretty bad.

Thank you Notorious Peepop, I'm really enjoying all the clips you have and really appreciate all the work you put in for the photoshops of the dawgs. Keep up the good work and may god bless you with all the BB girls you want.
Aunt Diane killed herself and the kids intentionally. I've watched this doc so many times and the finally realized she was on a suicide mission. Even when blackouted your instincts take over - she intentionally left her phone on the side of the highway, intentionally got on the wrong on ramp, and intentionally sped into oncoming traffic. Not breaking or Swerving once. Ignoring the hysterical kids in the backseat. She chugged the vodka to work up the courage to do it. That morning McDonalds visit where she only had orange juice was the chaser. Her BAC level was insanely high but that didn't take into account the close to 11 shots worth of unabsorbed alcohol in her stomach.
The documentary perfectly explains what happened and why. She was an alcoholic and addict and she got blackout drunk, which is what happened. The why is because she had a horrible, manchild husband. She was the breadwinner of the family but he was absolutely useless around the house so she would have to stay awake for multiple days at a time because she would work full-time outside the home and then have to do absolutely everything around the home and stay up all night to do that, then go to work the next day. The only way she could physically do that was through drugs. The reason she never got the abscess tooth checked out for months is because she literally had no time to go to the dentist because her husband was such a useless piece of shit who could not watch the kids for even a moment. This was confirmed by all of the forensics and autopsy screens. The only reason there’s any dispute at all is because the family cannot accept reality.
This crash happened close to where I grew up. The outrage the next day was something else. Aunt Diane’s husband had a smoking 17 yr old side piece, some piece.
"Smoking hot side piece" but he was basically an extra kid for his wife to raise. No wonder she drove headfirst into traffic. Imagine raising a deadbeat pedo for a husband. At least he whined like a little bitch about what a great mother she was after she died.

That’s why she went crazy. The 2 family members defending her in the documentary, the husband and the woman, were the ones who were cheating.

I’m glad there’s others out there that find this story as fascinating and mind bending as I always have. Some people just say oh she was an alcoholic it’s not mystery. But that’s so wild to me even if she was it’s hard to fathom why and how what happened that day happened imo.
The part of the documentary where they talk about how she had to stay up multiple days in a row every week because her husband was so completely useless, it became clear that she wouldn’t be able to do that without abusing substances. This woman worked full-time outside the home and then would have to come home and do 100% of all the domestic work and child care because her husband was absolutely useless, even the documentary he needs his sister to do everything for him now that his wife is gone, he’s incapable of doing anything on his own. On the day of the crash, she probably did what she did every day as far as alcohol and drugs but maybe her tooth abscess made her get drunker than normal
I had a tooth abscess that turned into sceptic shock I had a seizure. I drank to try and kill the tooth pain. 2 weeks of pain I was on vacation. Post seizure I had extreme delirium. That's 100% possible and I'd say likely. There's a handful of illnesses but for a grown adult typically losing it like that and it being non drug induced, or a brain tumor, infections cause hallucinations that's next most likely At first my guess was maybe govt drug testing on her Long island gets weird so do camp grounds
The autopsy showed she was perfectly healthy but had undigested vodka and significant amounts of THC in her system. The husband changed his story a few times which is very suspicious.

Story gives me the chills.. right at the point she asks for tylenol at gas station
Why
Hey slim, I drank a 5th of vodka .. dare me to drive?
Went to school with Conrad Roy when this happened. Crazy how big a deal it ended up being we all just kind of moved on when it happened
Anything interesting to add to it?
I love that as Shane is telling the 1st story Matt asked, "seat belt or nah?" 😂
Tooth pain will make you want to do unthinkable things.
Like schedule a whole camping trip with your nieces and your own children instead of an appointment to get it fixed??? Makes sense.
@Hwgt888 yeah definitely. Rory needs to stop giving excuses for evil people
Almost every documentary starts with a naughty b.
Dementia runs rampant in my family.
But my family is full of what I would call "simple people."
Which usually means, when symptoms start popping up, it's pretty evident lol.
Shits rough.
"I mean, I like what she's about." - Matt Haha!!
This is my fav channel on RUclips rn thank you so mcuh
*much
This doc is insane, everyone should watch it.
We need another spooky Halloween episode!!!
That would be good 👻
Love the upbeat vibes
I had a tooth abscess that turned into sceptic shock
I had a seizure.
I drank to try and kill the tooth pain. 2 weeks of pain I was on vacation. Post seizure I had extreme delirium.
That's 100% possible and I'd say likely.
There's a handful of illnesses but for a grown adult typically losing it like that and it being non drug induced, or a brain tumor, infections cause hallucinations that's next most likely
At first my guess was maybe govt drug testing on her
Long island gets weird so do camp grounds
How'd you survive?
Antibiotics and extraction probably
The autopsy showed she was perfectly healthy but had undigested vodka and significant amounts of THC in her system. The husband changed his story a few times which is very suspicious.
18:04- there was actually a case where a mom drove her car off a boat ramp into a lake,i believe 2-3 kids passed (new jersey I believe dont quote me on the state)
They were from Quebec
Michelle Carter's eyebrows are cray cray. Gonna have to fix that Shane.
nah that's what makes her hot
got those Cara Delevingne fur brows

That chick is fugly too, though.
Seems like some DARPA tech used to send her haywire. Makes ya think

After reading the title, I’m just glad this isn’t about Last Chance U.
Sounds like aunt Diane was just a woman that committed suicide. Women like to take there kids with them.
And she needed the vodka to work up the courage
@@ETAisNOW I think the same way. I understand not wanting to do yourself in but to 'make' someone else do it or to hurt other people just so you can kill yourself is peak selfishness.
Men like to take their kids with them too.
@@anxietyonline1947 No they don't. There's way more examples of guys killing themselves especially now days without involving there kids.

ONCE AGAIN HITTING ME AT WORK YOU RULE
Murdaugh son is a great example of people changing completely when drinking. It's bizarre how different some people become.
Had an ex girlfriend like that. She was a total monster when drunk but very nice when sober. She also lied a lot when sober so maybe the nice persona was fake.
Because he crashed a boat? Lol
They had a bunch of his close friends come forward and talk about how much his personality changed when he was drinking. He even had a nickname for his other persona when drunk. Alcohol didn't do Paul any favors. @detectivebubblegum9777
@@tiffany.0214 I dated this girl a long time ago. She was awesome. We had a lot of fun and even moved in together. A couple months after we moved in together, she came home drunk while I was babysitting her 4 year old son. She started saying the most toxic things... Expletive laced name calling and even started punching and kicking me. That was the end of that. Complete different person.
17:09 “Your honour” he was about to go off 😂
I had an absess tooth for almost 2 years and the pain went on and off for month , that's why I felt like shit for almost 2 years and had headaches and brain fog all the time that shit is no joke
Why didn't you go to the dentist?
I had some bad tooth problems and it made me want to off myself constantly
Sounds like she was in a lot of pain, took pain killers alcohol and weed and went delirious
Thanks you for all that you do mr peepop. Your video edits are life
I totally forgot what that girl looked like until Matt called her Draco Malfoy. Instantly reminded me 😂
Maybe someone slipped her an edible at the wrong time
The one text string that caused her to be convicted was the string where he was talking to her about smothering himself in his truck with a generator in the back and he stepped out of the truck and she told him to get back in the truck and finish the job.
She’s a nut job but a hot little nut job. Just check out her photos from getting out of jail. She’ll be fine. Whoever she marries better watch their back though.
she also texted him like a whole essay about how his family is already ready for him to die and they wont miss him for to long, real cunt
🤣
On a long drive and I’m just laughing constantly at this. These guys kill it.
"Can something be horrible and hilarious at the same time?" Oh dude, funny you ask, check this video out....
I’ve seen this documentary. its fkn wild. Either she was crazy or she didn’t want to live anymore. Theres probably more to the story than we know
It’s so funny how Matt misses key details in almost every story
Dude I just thought the same thing like 10 seconds ago
You mean using hallucinogens doesn’t make you smarter? 🤔
I love how he plays dumb or doesn’t really know basic history when Shane tells bedtime stories. It’s either just not his thing and he’s the perfect audience to inform or he’s perfect at playing along. 2 planes for Pearl Harbor was my favorite
“Dude there were kids in the car!?!” 😂
It was funny. Now it is just annoying.
This thumbnail is hilarious by the way lol
Comedy gold would be to stand up as a juror in a trial with a total babe and say ‘Let her go, she’s mine!’
Sounds like depression that went unnoticed.
She killed other people too. Oncoming traffic.
LMFAO I had to look up who bae was. Good lord, Shane 😂
Someone needs to add the visuals to this, like when he talked about the specials!
I saw this accident in person. It was the day i was moving from putman county NY to Philly PA. Saw the van all burned out and shit. The traffic was such a bummer.
Female drivers, am I right
😂😂😂
McCusker doesn’t get as much limelight as Gillis but he’s freaking awesome too. The chemistry between these 2 is fantastic.
got a tooth ache and went straight to a entire bottle of vodka and weed then a head on intentional crash, fucking hell the world is weird
Been listening to the pod a few months now. Matt’s my boy. I like how he’s intelligent and can talk about serious topics but he really is funny too. Shane’s special on Austin was crazy good. Shane, Chris Distefano, Andrew Schulz and Theo Von are the nee younger guys blowing up. You have to put in 10 years in comedy. So the youngest GOOD comics are mostly early - mid 30s.
brought up Pareto Distribution. funnily enough since Pareto's pea pod analysis has never been recreated, plus then if 10% of your crops made 90% of the yield. Why wouldnt you then just populate your entire field with the genes of the 10%? Then once they start yielding do the other 90% give up? No its just an excuse to deny people welfare
Shane is the intelligent one, not Matt.
as someone from mass, shane’s boston accent might be the best i’ve heard from a non-local
@11:47 How many likes she get? Not many, I think she was kind of a loser…😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
i wish shane and soder had a podcast together

Dentists are also an option 😅

@Jimmy Rustler dude wtf that has me doubled up laughing 😂
I've seen the Michelle Carter doc, I almost spat out my drink at 5:35
There are these people called DENTISTS, btw...
I need to get to the dentist. Asap.
LONG LIFE THE GREAT PEEPOP!
I could swear he said “Auntie Anne’s”. I thought this was going to be a bit about a bad pretzel
"Yo finish her dude" 😂
Burning van < Burning man-......check for campground swingers
Love hearing him say the facts 3 times because the person who has telling the story too can't pay attention to what he's already said. You can hear the frustration in his voice 😂
My favorite part was the Sopranos extra who was a witness and you get hear his phone call and he just goes “Oh maddone! She’s gone off the freeway!”
All in all though, super brutal doc
I actually laughed at that. Plus a picture of the lawyer with Chrissy in his office
I hate people who can’t listen to save their lives but are actively reacting to what you’re saying like “whaaaaattttt omfg what!” then literally didn’t hear shit. “wait what a kid died?”
Yeah ive seen this documentary a few times over the years. Its so fucking gnarly
