- Precious gems and jewelry worth an estimated $150 million were stolen from an armed California Brink truck. The heist was pulled off at a truck stop when two Brinks guards left their truck unattended. When they came back, the guards found the vehicle was broken into and all the gems were gone. The treasure, which included rubies, emeralds, sapphires and thousands of diamonds, was supposed to be transported to a show in Pasadena, California.
One of the thieves were probably like "this is it boys, the big score, after this we're out of the game for good"

Definitely. I used to work at a casino. The armored truck would back into the truck bay. The transaction would take place. The driver was always in the cab. 2nd employee was in the back and got out of the rear. I don't see how this could happen. 💎✉️

These dudes been honing their skills in GTA heists for years, built up to this moment. They also executed it flawlessly, no deaths... Kinda impressed. They will probably get caught, if not, hats off to them.

100% an inside job. Every time i have seen a brinks truck I have always seen one other person inside, weapons on each, and the truck is running even if it's there for a while. THEY NEVER LEAVE IT UNATTENDED

It was an inside job you're not allowed to leave the truck unintended, the engine must be on at all times and ready to go in case anything happens, + the driver remains in his seat..... mark my words this was an "INSIDE JOB!!!"

One time I was at the mall illegally parked and the driver of the brinks truck turned on his sirens and tried to act like they were the PO-POs. Lmao! I ignored them and walked unfazed into the mall.

Honestly, I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but the two guards who were ordered to watch the gems just so happen to miss out the entirety of the thieves stealing it seems suspicious. How do you leave 150 million unattended long enough to never catch a glimpse of these people stealing that many gems.
They fired those ones that tried to fight n eventually gave up n let them steal it got fired. They will probably fire these guys. Smh

That seems like an inside job totally against protocol for both guards to leave at the same time uncalled for unneeded. I would’ve also wanted one guard that was required to be armed inside the main storage compartment as well keep that area air-conditioned.
This was like a heist from Grand Theft Auto V, done using the “Silent And Sneaky” method.

Most definitely won’t make it out. There’s suppose to be at least 1 person in the vehicle keeping watch at all times (the driver). So basically someone’s getting fired.
Very fishy indeed. I'm not an expert on this stuff but I'd assume that they'd require someone to be in/by the vehicle at all times and that to be as basic of knowledge as using their seatbelts.
Considering the driver or someone is gonna make out with millions, I don't think their job paying probably $20 an hour really matters.

At least 1 guard is required to stay with the truck at all times. If both left, especially with this high a level of load, there is a high probability they were in on it. Even if both left, they wouldn't leave it alone out of view for almost half an hour. Guarantee FBI is all over this. It's too high profile for all of the accomplices to get away. Also some of the gems/diamonds were likely marked.

There's no footage because that's the way it was supposed to happen.
They could be withholding that evidence from the media. Whether to use it in court or for another reason, I don't know. Perhaps they want detectives on the case before the video goes public.

No lies, but during my experiences on any place like a store, they always make sure to have another security member on watch when ever another is on break or lunch to keep on watch 24/7. So, for the guards leaving the armored truck unguarded was quite foolish. And no lies, letting extremely valuable items get stolen. Now, that’s a penalty where it’s not easily forgiven as getting thrift store merch stolen.

I would think it's an inside job to the point of the robbery being done not by brinks but whoever they were transporting for. Whoever "owned" those diamonds I would say is a prime suspect imo. Would be worth checking to see if they have a motive for this.

I work for armored trucks and you can’t leave unattended truck when you transporting money or high value items. Driver must always stay on truck leaving the truck running. This sounds like and inside job.

It is too easy for a 2P group to crook, that's why most security transports use 3+ because it is way harder for one of them to throw out the idea of a heist without being reported for "joking about it".
