This is such a great series - lack of this knowledge causes so many people problems. They sense something is wrong but don't know what it is or how to fix it. Thanks!

I moved into a townhouse with a very high sloping living room ceiling and have found it difficult to decorate that room. My furnishings from my previous home get “lost” in the room. I think scale and proportion are the issues. Thanks so much for your insightful videos.

Having a room with a high sloping ceiling is really wonderful, but it can also be a challenge to create a balance. I wonder if you could start by using color to help offset differences in scale and proportion. Is there some way to bring in a couple of deeper darker colors in your furnishings? Darker colors have more visual weight and could possibly help offset the expansiveness of the room. Just a thought. I'm glad you are finding my videos helpful.

Thank you so much for this advice. Previous home had much smaller rooms and windows so we went light, light, light to brighten the space. Does not work for us now, but I think we’re starting to understand why. Love your videos! So helpful!
