Showing all the other tiaras while talking about the featured one is very distracting. And the Brits could have done much better for Sophie. Her tiara was a cobbled together mess. She deserved better.
People need to understand that women used to have long hair and put up sometimes elaborate hairstyle. The tiara will look much different on modern hair styles and women with thin hair as compared to the more lush hair many women had back then. Just look at the photos of the thick hair many girls had back then as compared to today. Not sure why thick lush locks have disappeared but old permanents and peroxide did damage hair and the trend to strip hair to make it blonde or grey still damages hair. So perhaps we women have done it to ourselves with constant changing the nature of our hair. Like ironing curly hair straight- ruining the texture permanently. Black women were told by white society that their natural hair was ugly and unacceptable so make it straight and it ruins the hair texture.
I beg to differ in the order of these tiaras. I think not just the design of the tiara shold be considered, but also the difficulty in incorporating it to the bridal look. I'd say the top 6 would be: 1=The Ram 2=Diamond Sunburst 3=De Tornos Turquoise 4= Duchess Sophie's Anthemion 5-=Q. Mary of Denmark's puny tiara 6= Princess Desire Pearl Circle. These six, especially the top 2, are a nightmare to style, and frankly, they are beyond ugly. After these six, the remainder tiaras could follow in any order because none of them are so terrible that you can't make them work.
There has been no legal royalty anywhere in Germany since all of the monarchies were abolished in November 1918. There is no royalty in Albania since King Zog fled. France has had no royalty since the collapse of the regime of Napoleon III. The report is largely flawed.
Because they no longer reign does not mean that the families are no longer nobility. I lived in Germany for four years, and there are still palaces and other royal residencies that are owned by the noble families. If you noticed, quite a few of the families were referred to as "hereditary." That is the title they can use. You seem to forget that Germany, per se, didn't exist as it was a part of the Prussion "Empire" until the close of WW1. It was a confederation of duchies and principalities, but the noble families did not just disappear. Just like in Spain, Greece, and quite a number of other countries, their nobles are still around and are still recognized as nobles!
Prinses Margriet of the Netherlands wore her weddingtiara because of the flowers, who look like Margrieten, ( flowers), just like her name.. Her daughters in law wore a other tiara, all 4 the same on their weddingday!
Sofia is not a prinsess by birthday so her way to the more exclusive ones is going to be limited. Even in the future. To wear a Shawl like the Brunei royals togherher with tiara is never looking good. When royal houses get glodde, the kings abdikate or force to leave - they are no longer kingdoms. So f ex Albania, . So should not be in this group of royal jewelrys like the Kingdom stilla excists.
All of the tiaras are prettier than mine
Agree and I would be grateful just to have a real tiara.

Who knew there were so many Princesses?😍
I guess I have no taste because I liked all of them and thought their history made them even better.
People always have to be negative

Interesting info, but the
Pronunciation of the names makes my ears hurt

I do agree- the tiaras are all ugly
