Thank you so much. This is exactly the version that was played on the album. I also added a hammer on and a walk down on the Dsus2 to the Asus2 and a slide up to the 5th fret on the b string to get the little melodic bits in there as well. It’s perfect. Gonna be hard for me to get used to these new chord changes but I need to push myself to avoid plateauing. I appreciate this video a ton. One of my favorite songs by my favorite artist. I’m playing it on a clean electric right now and I dig it. I’ve always wanted to play guitar but I didn’t get to start until I was in my early 20s. I’m 26 now. It’s never too late. Here’s to never growing up, pun intended

It's Up-Down-Up-Down all the way, except for the very first opening chord which is Down. Then it just goes UDUD, or rather

C#m is correct, but his hands are obviously starting the barre on the 4th fret and the diagram says Fret 2. This just may lead to some confusion for people. Also, he ends on what I believe is E right after the C#m but doesn't mention it.

It's a simple D UDU :)
you can play d_ducu, d_ducu
d for down stroke
u for up stroke
c for mute or muted down stroke
_ for no stroke or letting the previous strum ring
there are three beats in this rythm pattern each beat divided into two halves
d _ d u c u
count it as 1 and 2 and 3 and, 1 and 2 and 3
You can also do a DDDD pattern

I usually play capo 5: E, E/F# (I think that's the chord) and Asus2 for the chorus, and then for the verse I play G#m, Asus2 (All based of the position of the capo)

try power chords on the intro A, B nd D... sounds neat... nd it's the way they really do it... coz u can hear the fret noise when avril's guitarist slides frm B5 to D5 nd all da way dwn to A5 agn..
